Sunday on NBC’s “Meet The Press,” former Defense Secretary Robert Gates said of President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for secretary of state Exxon CEO Rex Tillerson’s ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin “being friendly doesn’t make you friends.” Gates said, “He is familiar with countries from Indonesia to Latin America to the Middle East and Russia. It seems to me having somebody who is secretary of state who has dealt with a lot of these leaders, who knows them, knows how they negotiate, knows how they think is a huge assess for the United States. As I have said, I think...

Former CIA director Leon Panetta said on Wednesday that President-elect Donald Trump risked being blamed after any potential attack on the United States if he refused to receive more regular intelligence briefings. U.S. officials told Reuters that Trump is receiving an average of one presidential intelligence briefing a week - far fewer than most of his recent predecessors - but that his deputy Mike Pence gets briefings around six days a week. Panetta, a former Democratic Congressman who served as CIA director and defense secretary in President Barack Obama's first term, told the Arab Strategy Forum, a conference sponsored by...

DUTCH right-wing Freedom Party has soared ahead to lead the polls ahead of the parliamentary elections. The party, led by the controversial Geert Wilders, would beat prime minister Mark Rutte’s ruling conservative liberals if elections were held today. The Freedom Party (PVV) can count on 29 seats out of the 150-seat chamber, according to the latest IPSOS poll, making it the largest party in the Netherlands. In the space of one month the popularity of the PVV has surged with an increase of six seats.

Wednesday at Politico‘s “Women Rule” event, senior adviser to President Barack Obama Valerie Jarrett said the reactions at the White House to President-elect Donald Trump‘s victory were “like a punch in the stomach” and “soul-crushing.” Jarrett said, “We were surprised by the outcome of the election. It kind of was like a — I’m not sure what the right analogy would be, but like a punch in the stomach, let’s say. Soul-crushing might be another description. But that’s the democracy that we have. The people get to decide and the elections matter and we have to get about the business...

Former Rep. Allen West, R-Fla., was spotted at Trump Tower on Monday, where he reportedly met with Vice President-elect Mike Pence as well as members of the incoming administration’s national security team. The retired lieutenant colonel also sat down with retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, who has been tapped by President-elect Donald Trump to be national security adviser, and K.T. McFarland, who will be deputy national security adviser, The Hill reported. “Nothing was offered. I mean, they know my reputation very well,” West told pool reporters in Trump Tower following the meeting.

Khalid Sheik Mohammed, one of the masterminds in the 9/11 attack, said that “the ferocity and swiftness” of former U.S. President George W. Bush’s reprisal to the Terrorst attacks on U.S. soil astonished Al Qaeda The new revelation was found in psychologist James E. Mitchell’s new memoir, “Enhanced Interrogation: Inside the Minds and Motives of the Islamic Terrorists Trying To Destroy America.” Mitchell wrote, “How was I supposed to know that cowboy George Bush would announce he wanted us ‘dead or alive’ and then invade Afghanistan to hunt us down? Khalid explained that if the United States had treated 9/11...

Perhaps significantly advancing the time frame designated in the Army Corps of Engineers’ notice several Standing Rock Camps would face some form of eviction on December 5, North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple opportuned an incoming winter storm to issue a mandatory emergency evacuation order — for all encampments north of the Cannonball River. Although the evacuation appears not be one of force, it is obligatory — all water protectors camping in Army Corps-managed land have been ordered by Dalrymple to take all possessions and vacate the area. “These persons are ordered to leave the evacuation area immediately, and are further...

“A lion doesn’t concern itself with the opinion of sheep.” ― George R.R. Martin, “A Game of Thrones” In the MSM’s unrelenting criticism of President-elect Donald Trump (and his transition team), the term “bloodletting” is weirdly telling of their collectively deluded mind-set. The Washington Post misuses that precise word in relation to the unremarkable demotion of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (for the more experienced Mike Pence) and the departure of former congressman Mike Rogers (R-MI). A couple of understandable personnel changes and The Post’s Wednesday front page radiates: ‘Key figures purged’? Likewise, the next day obviously aggrieved columnist Dana...

I was truly stunned on (S)Election Day 2016 because I was certain that Hillary Clinton had been anointed by the ruling class to be the next CEO of Empire and the First Woman President™. Without much training (but boatloads of experience), I am a practically a political savant and am rarely wrong about such things, and Trump's "victory" did surprise me. What did not surprise me, however, was the Demo-lib's angry reaction to it. The day before the "Cataclysm of the Century™" I wrote as a status update on Facebook: "My election prediction: If Trump wins, then the Democrat faithful...

After the last Presidential deabte, WGN 9 News invited Brunell Donald-Kyei, a Chicago based lawyer who happens to be a black female who supports Donald Trump, on air to talk about her preferred candidate. Obviously looking to try and play their typical media games of discrediting Trump supporters, specifically those of us who are black, the WGN 9 anchors were left speechless after they discovered that they had bitten off far more than they could chew. In short, Brunell Donald-Kyei absolutely owned the interview, and the anchors, delivering an incredibly passionate and commonsense argument for her support of Trump. Check...

Citing an unnamed insider, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that former Gov. Bobby Jindal is being eyed by President-elect Donald Trump for a potential appointment as Health and Human Services Secretary. If so, it could be one of the quickest turnarounds from enemy to frenemy to partner in recent political history. A spokesman for Jindal didn't immediately respond to The Advocate's request for comment. A Politico.com story on Trump's possible cabinet appointees doesn't mention Jindal on the HHS Secretary list. Buzzfeed's exhaustive list of potential appointees similarly makes no mention of Jindal.

Hillary Clinton broke tradition and did not address the thousands of supporters gathered at New York’s Javits Center for a victory party. No thanking them for their efforts. No acknowledging their discomfort, and no call for national unity. Instead, campaign chairman and prolific emailer John Podesta was given the job of facing the disappointed throngs and telling them to go home because the race is -- cough – “too close to call.”

CAIRO (AP) — Egypt said Monday that Saudi Arabia has halted fuel shipments indefinitely, in a sign of lingering tensions following a dispute over the conflict in Syria. The move ratchets up pressure on Egypt as it implements austerity measures in the hope of securing billions of dollars in loans to stabilize its ailing economy. Cairo floated its currency last week and cut fuel subsidies, leading to across-the-board price hikes in the Arab world's most populous country. Egyptian Oil Ministry spokesman Hamdi Abdel-Aziz said that Saudi Arabia's Aramco, the world's largest oil company, stopped sending the fuel shipments to Egypt...

Tonight in Reno, it was reported that Donald Trump was rushed off the stage at his rally. Since Trump is disliked so vehemently by some, it was immediately assumed that someone tried to assassinate Trump. Initial reports were that someone rushed the stage, someone else yelled “gun,” there was chaos and tackling, and then someone was arrested. Considering the insanity of this election cycle, who would actually be surprised if something like that were to happen? And given that insanity, it’s entirely reasonable that the Secret Service immediately hustled Trump off the stage until they could get to the bottom...

Hell Week is what the Navy calls the worst week of BUDS training for those wanting to become Navy SEALs, one of America’s most elite fighting forces. This week will prove to be “Hell Week” for Hillary Clinton. We continue to speculate as to how the latest batch of emails were discovered, and here is yet another story that adds to the intrigue of Clinton, Inc. As most Americans are aware, the Clintons have been accused of dispatching of those who stand in their way. Thanks to WikiLeaks and pure common sense, we have learned how ruthless Hillary Clinton can...

The Pentagon is seeking to recover decade-old reenlistment bonuses paid to thousands of California Army National Guard soldiers to go fight in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday. The paper reported that nearly 10,000 soldiers, many of whom risked their lives during multiple combat tours, have been ordered to repay the cash bonuses after audits revealed widespread overpayments by California Guard officials under pressure to meet enlistment targets at the height of the wars 10 years ago.

For many viewers, this came as no surprise, but for many FOX conservative loyalists, this latest news would have come as a shock. FOX News host Shepard Smith joins other high-profile gay cable news anchors like CNN’s Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon. A number of high-profile media critics including top-rated talk radio host Michael Savage, have recently raised the alarm that FOX News is undergoing a liberal facelift following the departure of its news head Roger Ailes over a number sexual harassment cases.

Major Swedish journalist Cecilia Hagen wrote in a recent column about how much she detests rats. However, there was a political connotation. Hagen said called anyone that did not support what is, in effect, an Islamic invasion of Europe, is a “brown rat” and deserves to be exterminated. Friatider reports on the column: In his chronicle network Hagen An to a blog post that the Bar Association Secretary General Anne Ramberg recently wrote in which she called anti-immigrant politicians for “brown rats”. Above all mentioned the moderate senator Hanif Bali in her blog post. Hagen begins his chronicle with addressing...

For months, I have been arguing that Hillary Clinton should be impeached. It is all well and good to prosecute a former government official for any crimes she has committed. Indeed, the Constitution expressly provides for criminal prosecution in addition to impeachment. Nevertheless, for the Framers — and, if we had common sense, for us — the imperative was to deprive a corrupt person of any further opportunity to abuse government power. Whether the official should also be convicted and sent to prison was not unimportant but, in the greater scheme of things, decidedly secondary. Interestingly, the main pushback I...
