Pointing to radical change in climate conditions, and, listen to this, the report said that within a few years it is predicted that, due to ice melt, the seas will rise and make most coastal communities uninhabitable. Private contractors at the Oroville Dam have had to fire some of their workforce because of issues ranging from positive drug tests to violating the state's Department of Water Resources' social media policy. There has also been turnover because of unqualified workers. Private contractors hired to work on the dam have to vet their own employees, according to DWR spokesman Chris Orrock, who noted that no state employees have been let go because of these reasons. Crews are being brought in as needed, as space is tight, DWR Acting Director Bill Croyle said.

Dear FRiends, we are in the path of the Oroville Dam should the auxiliary spillway give way. We have a son-in-law who works at the dam, and a son who works at a nearby dam and family friend who works at the dam our son works at.It has been pretty much concluded that the failure of the auxiliary spillway is a foregone conclusion. Probably before the next rain hits on Thursday. That would actually be a blessing in disguise. The lake level has been dropping tremendously and a failure would actually release less water if it happens before it rains.Please...
