To throw more gas on the fire; it seems entirely too convenient at this point that Obama’s mother died shortly after he was elected.

His mother died of cancer more than a decade before he was elected. His grandmother died a day or two before he was elected.

Birth control hormones are frequently prescribed for a number of conditions besides prevention of pregnancy. Birth control hormones can alleviate the (extreme) pain of endometriosis, for example.

It’s hard enough dealing with this pain without calling around and driving 30 extra miles to get a prescription filled.

So the guy he talked to is dead, the limo driver has been deported, and the phone records have been destroyed.

Why doesn't Larry Sinclair provide his own phone records & text messages to back up his statements? If he has, I'd like a link.

In September 2007 I contacted the Presidential Campaign of Barack H. Obama, to request solely that Senator Obama publicly correct his stated drug use record to reflect his use of crack cocaine with me in November 1999. When I made that first contact I left with the Presidential Campaign of Senator Barack H. Obama a telephone number for the campaign to return my call. The first number I provided was a Texas cell phone number. From the period of Labor day weekend 2007 through November 18, 2007 I did rovide a total of four (4) different call back numbers to the Obama campaign, as I had moved and had changed the numbers to reflect locally my place of residence at the time. In late September to early October 2007, I received a call from a male who identified himself as a “Mr. Young” stating he was calling in regards to calls I had made to the Obama campaign. This first call was in fact an attempt by “Mr. Young” to obtained from me the identities of anyone I had contacted concerning my 1999 allegations against Senator Obama. . . .

In mid to late October 2007, I received a second call from this “Mr. Young” at which time I clearly became aware that this individual was personally involved with Senator Obama rather than just an employee of his campaign. The tone of the conversation had a sexual nature. “Mr. Young” did not once advise me how he obtained my phone number which by this time had now changed to a Delaware number. . .

In late October 2007, I received a text message from the gentleman identified as “Mr. Young” in which he stated he was intimately involved with Senator Obama . . .

In mid to late November 2007, in another text message from “Mr. Young” , he advised me that Senator Obama will publicly correct his statement as to he last time he used drugs and I did not need to concern myself with publicly disclosing it myself. The last contact I had with “Mr. Young” was in early December 2007 when he made it clear to me that Senator Obama had no intentions of publicly acknowledging his 1999 use of crack cocaine and that “Mr. Young” was in fact doing nothing more than milking information from me for Senator Obama’s use.

Yes, I read it. (I snipped some parts above to make it shorter.)

Why doesn't Larry provide any of his own phone records for this period or the many text messages? If he did, then there would be something to investigate, perhaps. But right now, all you have is his "word" that all of these exchanges happened, and he's got a long record of fraud & cons.

Again, the one making a claim has to provide proof.

I would start with the easy one Mr.Young in Oct.2007.Did he call Larry.Mr.Young is dead.

The accuser (the one making the claim) has the burden of proof.

Why doesn't Larry provide his telephone records showing who called him in October 2007? If he really has proof, he should put it out there.

Or are you saying Mr. Young called Larry? It's really hard to tell from your post, sorry.

Providing cell phone records on the specified days would put this SERIOUS charge to bed, no?

True, but I can't even remember my cell number from 1999, let alone still have the records around. I don't even think the company I had at that time even exists today, so I haven't a clue about how I could begin to provide those records.

If he was using a state or business phone, you might have a better chance, but even these records might be subject to a records destruction schedule, although the provider might still have them.

Would a cell phone provider turn over 9 year old records without a court order? It's often hard to get them to pay attention to your current needs -- they'd laugh at me if I asked them for stuff from 1999!

It is behavior unbecoming of a couple who wishes to occupy the White House. He’s running for President of the United States, not high school class president.

Uh, what did you think of President Bush's chest-bumping the cadet? Is that suitably dignified for the President of the United States?

Really, neither gestures should be considered news.

Is it standard procedure in Hawaii for the “filing date” (by registrar) to be FOUR DAYS AFTER the date of birth? Other Hawaiins reading this, can you check your own birth certificates?

August 4, 1961 was a Friday, and he was born in the evening, so it mostly likely wouldn't be filed that day. The county office would be closed over the weekend (and possibly any hospital administrative offices), so a few day's delay in filing is pretty routine. Most states give you a few days to a week to file a birth certificate.

GPA 5.898????? Talk about grade inflation!

This is probably a student who took a large number of Advanced Placement (AP) courses, and those courses are weighted higher. For example, a student taking a second semester college level physics or calculus course should get more credit that a student taking algebra I and non-college prep physical science.

If they didn't weight the harder courses, you'd get higher grades by taking easier courses.

Holly, the computer on Red Dwarf, was a man. (Except the second one was a woman.) But then, they are British, so perhaps that explains it.

Be careful what you wish for. If that was the case, the two perps killed in the home robbery in TX would be eulogized by the media.

Well, I suppose so -- if you consider perps to be victims. I don't.

I agree -- whenever I see a picture of someone who does something like this, I navigate away from the site, and I try not to look at (or remember) the perp's name. Instead, I'll read info about the victims. We should remember them and their names.

Yeah, my great-grandparents could hardly speak English, and my grandmother who was born here didn’t learn English until 1st grade (the kindergarten was taught in German — this was pre-WWI, obviously.) I couldn’t tell that she’d ever spoken anything but English.

It’s pretty hard once you are an adult to get fluent in another language (I lived in another country for 5 years as an adult — I learned a lot, and could communicate in a lot of situations, but I doubt I would ever become fluent or able to read at more than a 4th grade level.)

This debate among Republican candidates was intended to allow undecided Republican voters to pose questions to Republicans. Do you have a source for that? (I don't mean to sound antagonistic. I was writing about it someplace else and would like to document it.) thank you.

he couldn't bother waiting 90 days longer to reapply?

Why should he have to go through the re-application process? Why didn't they say, "We don't have one now, but we will send one as soon as we can!" ??

He's 75 years old -- I don't know how his health is, but perhaps he wasn't sure how he'd be feeling 3 months from now.

In other articles I read about him, when he was originally injured, he was asked if he wanted a Purple Heart, and he said, "I don't have time for that -- I have to get back to the front lines."

Ha, her parents will. Heck -- they are probably the sort who will actually go to the interview with her -- I've heard anecdotally that that's been happening lately.

Typically funding for that type of thing comes from private contributions.

I'm not sure that is true in all districts. Even so, what does that tell us that private citizens will donate to the football team but not the math club?
