  • Obama May Be Only One Proud of Economic Record

    Commentary ^ | June 21, 2011
In a speech to the DNC Obama said, "I'm extraordinarily proud of the economic record we were able to produce over the past two and a half years." I wonder why. The president presided over an economy that has lost 2.5 million jobs since he was sworn in. The unemployment rate is up 25 percent since he took office and has been over 8 percent for almost 30 months. The debt has increased 35 percent during the Obama presidency and gas prices have more than doubled. The housing crisis has recently entered a double dip and is now worse than...
  • CNN Poll: Obama Approval Ratings Drop As Fears of Depression Rise

President Obama's overall approval rating has dropped below 50 percent as a growing number of Americans worry that the U.S. is likely to slip into another Great Depression within the next 12 months, according to a new CNN national poll.
  • House Panel to Weigh Subpoena Authority in 'Fast and Furious' Gun Case

    Fox News ^ | June 13, 2011
Since Watergate, Congress has held just 12 senior U.S. officials in contempt for failure to produce subpoenaed documents. That process begins again. The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee wants documents from Attorney General Eric Holder related to "Operation Fast and Furious," a secret Obama administration program that put thousands of guns into the hands of Mexican drug cartels. Fast and Furious, say critics, sought to create evidence to publicly blame cartel violence on U.S. gun store owners and lax American gun laws. The ATF ordered and encouraged law-abiding gun shop owners to sell weapons to buyers knowing those guns...

Capping off a dismal week in news, the Labor Department reported Friday that the pace of hiring dropped dramatically in May and the unemployment rate rose to 9.1 percent, fueling Republican demands that the Obama administration make changes in its economic policy.
  • Obama Administration Eyeing Gun Control 'Under the Radar,' Groups warn.

The Obama Administration, after keeping gun control on the back burner for over two years, is prompting concern among gun rights groups that it's slowly starting to squeeze the trigger on tighter regulation. [It's the same old pretext that those who want to neuter the Second Amendment have used time and time again. This time it's the attempted assassination of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and 18 others back in January by a man who is so unhinged and psychotic that even a liberal court ajudged him to be too deranged to be responsible for his actions. Naturally, Obama and his fellow...
  • VIDEO: No Transparency on Obama's Political Donations Executive Order

How's this for transparency in the White House? Last week, the House joint Oversight and Small Business Committee held a hearing on a proposed Obama Executive Order mandating the disclosure of political donations by government contractors. The Committee questioned White House aide Daniel Gordon on the Order. He danced, dodged, bobbed and weaved around the Committee's questions, as captured in this video. This wasn't the first time the White House faced questions on the Order, which amounts to an attempt to make an end-run around Congress in order to implement restrictions on political speech.

"The borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines..." - Barack Obama These words from Obama's speech are the most chilling message ever sent by a U.S. president to Israel, and possibly by any head of government to a supposed "ally." Soon after the Six Day War in 1967, Abba Eban referred to those 1967 lines as the "Auschwitz borders." As Prime Minister Netanyahu told Obama last Friday, these borders leave Israel all of NINE MILES WIDE at one of its most populous points! Under Obama's dispensation, Israel is left with these borders and no others....
  • Indiana Trounces Fourth Amendment

    05/16/2011 6:06:39 PM PDT · by T.L.Sink · 15 replies
    Washington Examiner ^ | May 16, 2011
Indiana's Supreme Court ruled that police can basically enter Hoosier homes WITHOUT A WARRANT, without justifiable cause, without - apparently - any regard for the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. That's the one that says Americans have the right to be secure in their homes and in their persons. In Indiana, however, three of five justices found police can, in fact, push into a person's home if the situation warrants - and by warrants, it means that if the police FEEL it to be true. (NOT to be confused with warrants, as in the issuance of a legal document.)...
  • Disregard the AP Poll

    05/15/2011 2:45:02 PM PDT · by T.L.Sink · 33 replies
The Associated Press has released a survey to measure public approval of Obama after the killing of Osama bin Laden. The poll purports to show that the president's approval rating has soared to 60 percent. Don't you believe it. The AP sample contains twice as many Democrats as Republicans. This AP poll - with its 2:1 Democratic edge - is utter hogwash. The Associated Press needs to search its soul - and consult with the polling company - to determine if this bias can be corrected.
  • What Me Moderate? Muslim Brotherhood Makes Bid for Power

Remember when we were told that the Muslim Brotherhood was moderate and weak? And a revolutionary Islamist, anti-Semitic and genocide-orientated, anti-American, anti-Western and anti-Christian organization would never lie to us, right? Now the Brotherhood will run candidates for September's parliamentary elections in Egypt. I don't think the Brotherhood will win the election or take over Egypt in the next two years. My expectation is that they will do very well in the election and await their chance as Egypt inevitably crumbles economically and public unrest arises. [The Brotherhood is also leading the rebel forces in Libya in the current civil...
  • Politics and the English Language

Most people who bother with the matter at all would admit that the English language is in a hard way... Our civilization is decadent, and our language - so the argument runs - must inevitably share in the general collapse. [We're now hearing ad nauseum that X, Y, or Z is being held "HOSTAGE". When politicians want to avoid an unpleasant or embarrassing issue it's labeled a "DISTRACTION" by our politicians and the Lamestream Media. (Perhaps most American can walk and chew gum at the same time). In the recent past the perpetually redundant word of the semi-literate in the...

In the course of a discussion about the new Terror Alert System, Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) makes it very clear that Attorney General Holder and the Obama administration are NOT acting upon legal evidence to prosecute CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations)despite its intimate commection with Islamic terrorist operatives and subversive factions. To date, the administration has offered no serious or adequate explanation for what Rep. King calls being blatantly remiss in our national responsibility for aggressively prosecuting the war against terrorism.
  • Trump: Rove Gave Us Obama and I'm Not Listening

Trump slams Rove! Carl Rove called Trump's candidacy a "joke" among many other disparaging remarks about him. But Trump, in his inimitable way, gave it right back. Who really is Rove? He's the "architect" who encouraged George Bush to spend like a liberal Democrat and pursue his amnesty for illegal aliens agenda to pander to the Hispanic vote. He caustically stated that Palin was too much a lightweight for national office. His counsel made Bush so unpopular that he alienated not only the conservative GOP base but the Independents, thus helping Obama win the presidency. Fox has Rove as a...

Boehner sold us down the river with his budget deal. [It appears that one of the few Republicans who really takes seriously the fact that America is broke and that Obama's latest proposal will add still more trillions to our current budget deficit and $14 trillion+ national debt is Michele Bachmann. She's also one of the few who is heeding the mandate of the people to cut spending as seen in the November election.]
  • Why It's OK for the U.S. Government to Burn Bibles But Condemn Koran Burning

    04/17/2011 9:47:41 AM PDT · by T.L.Sink · 21 replies
    Pajamas Media ^ | April 16, 2011
Recently everyone from Sen. Lindsey Graham (R., sort of, SC) to Hillary Clinton condemned the Rev. Terry Jones for presiding over his Koran burning. Burning a holy book, you see, was hateful, intolerant, and disrespectful. Sen. Lindsey wondered aloud on "Face the Nation" how the government could punish such individuals. Obama's administration is deeply committed to battling any belittlement, criticism, or questioning of Islam. ("I consider it part of my responsibility to fight negative stereotypes of Islam whenever they appear.") But in the Obama government it's OK to burn Bibles. So the Bibles, according to U.S. policy, are trash or...
  • United in Hate: Lawrence O'Donnell's Attacks on Glenn Beck Highlight the Left's Romance with Islam

The Left's sinister love affair with Islam includes a shared "hatred for...the Judeo-Christian heritage of the United States," as Dr. Jamie Glazov skillfully exposes in "United in Hate." MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell fans the flames of this romance with his assault on Glenn Beck's Christian beliefs: "Beck lies about being a literal follower of the Bible, which of course calls for death to children who disobey parents and death to people who don't observe the Sabbath. No one believes the Bible was right about that, not even Beck." Those following Christ's moral teachings realize Islamic teachings are the opposite of love...
  • Ahead of Key Vote, Estimate Shows Budget Bill Saves Less Than Advertised

    04/14/2011 9:07:52 AM PDT · by T.L.Sink · 1 replies
    Fox News ^ | April 14, 2011
The $38 billion in budget cuts touted by Republicans over the weekend might end up being less. A LOT LESS. The budget deal funding the government saves only $352 million from non-war accounts. This figure has rankled conservatives who thought they had extracted a fair amount of concessions. The CBO also confirms that the $38 bilion in new spending cuts come in slow-spending accounts that don't have an immediate impact and other cuts come in areas where the government was unlikely to spend the money anyway. In addition, cuts to mandatory benefit programs, while producing no deficit savings, can be...
  • Democratic Senator Wants Internet Sales Taxes

A Democratic senator is preparing to introduce legislation that aims to end the golden era of tax-free Internet shopping. Dick Durbin of Illinois will introduce the bill after the Easter recess, a Democratic aid told CNET. [Durbin is the far-Left hack who a few years ago accused our troops in Iraq of perpetrating war crimes against civilian populations "worthy of Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot." And, like his fellow Illinoisan Barack Obama, he never saw a tax he didn't love.]
