Not sure what you are saying but you are right in your context in a way. First of all Darwin was in the 1800s before 1931. but besides this you are corect in saying darwin was not the author nor discovered natural selection. natural selection was written about 24 years before darwin by a CREATIONIST named Eward Blythe. and besides all this natuarl selection has nothing to do with what is called macro evolution. All natural selection is is a reshuffling of already existing code or a environmental condition that allows for one who is more equipped for that environment. this has nothing to do with changing into another creature.

All the code that makes us up as for what we see on the outside is not all the code there is. our code cann contain genes for red hair when we have black. Its just depends on what is dominant or recessive. And to add you cannot add to this code to make a new creature. i.e. monkey to man-—just absolute nonsense. All natural selection is that when for example all the food is 6 feet or higher in the trees, obviously those who are taller get to eat better and the short ones will die so tall procreates with tall and this becomes the overwhelming dominant gene characteristics, tallness if you will. But it has nothing to do with changing nor does it change one into a different creature. All natural selection does is accomodate characteristics it does not change you.
