Fellow Freepers, As you all, collectively, are the smartest folks I could bring this to, I bring you this vanity... Last night, my eighth grade son informed me his history teacher (yes public school, yes I know, the only saving grace is next year he will be in a trade school) told the class that the president could suspend the Constitution in a national emergency. I dutifully told him that was hogwash, pulled out our Constitution and went through the president's Article II rights and duties. Clearly, suspending the Constitution is NOT one of them. Fellow Freepers, I apologize for the vanity, but it's for my wife and I know we have some of the smartest people on the Net here... She was married before me to a foreigner and came to our marriage with a child, who I adopted after the ex waived parental rights for her waiving $3K in back child support. I have never met the man. He was abusive to her and there were restraining orders 7 years ago, now lapsed. She still lives in fear of him potentially kidnapping our son (threats had been made years ago) or coming back...

PELHAM, NH (FOX 25 , myfoxboston) - Pelham Police arrested and charged a female Pelham school employee with three counts of sexual assault. The woman is identified as Manuella St. Germain, 44, of Pelham, New Hampshire. St. Germain is a paraprofessional for a Pelham Middle School has been placed on leave by the school district. Pelham Police Detectives received a complaint from the Division for Children Youth and Families that alleged two male juveniles had been sexually assaulted. I had a couple of minutes at lunch today to ask myself, "What would it take to balance the federal budget in a reasonable amount of time?" My idea of reasonable was 50-100 years, at a 3% interest rate. Having lurked around FR since the Clinton regime and recently joined up, I must thank all of you for providing a great forum for discussion of issues that I find important... That being said, I have posted about my wife's pregnancy over the last few months; how she had placenta previa and then it went away thanks to your prayers.... Well I am happy to say that on 9/22 we welcomed a new healthy baby boy into the world via a c-section (he was breech) and want to thank all for their prayers and concern over the past nine months......

I posted several weeks ago about my wife's placenta previa... I got some tremendous responses and am SO grateful for them... YOUR PRAYERS WORKED!!! The baby has moved back up to where he should be...yes is a he! And we look forward to wlecoming our second son to the world at the end of September. Thank you all again!

I'm sorry for the vanity, but I did want to alert the FR community to something I overheard the other day while in enemy territory (Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA). A certain Harvard Law School professor, previously mentioned prominently for the Supreme Court, Obama supporter and not name Alan is being considered for a "hush hush position promoting Global Justice".
