On May 20 a gun rights advocate who made a name for himself by interrupting Mark Kelly's gun control speech before the Oregon legislature won the GOP primary to run for the Oregon legislature. The gun rights advocate, Casey Runyan, "interrupted a hearing where Kelly, the husband of former Arizona Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, testified in support of [expanded background checks]."
