COLLEGE PARK, Md. - A man has been arrested in the beating and mugging of an elderly man outside a church on Christmas Eve. Prince George's County Police arrested 28-year-old Shanon Washington of Capitol Heights on New Year's Day. Washington is charged with attempted murder, assault and robbery in the attack on 69-year-old Wayne Williams in the parking lot of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
