St. Louis blogger, Sharp Elbows, videotaped an effort to get Democratic Congressman Russ Carnahan on record about his position on the Ground Zero mosque during a Town hall meeting with veterans in his home district. Carnanhan repeatedly ignores his constituent and finally leaves the building and heads for parking lot and has vehicle at a fast pace. I think from Caranahan's non-answer, we might safely assume he joins President Obama in supporting the Ground Zero mosque construction. The video can be seen here.

Congressman Russ Carnahan held a press conference today to address allegations that the suspect of last week's firebombing of his campaign headquarters worked for his re-election campaign. Carnahan did not say the man's name but did confirm that the name Chris Powers made public this morning on a right-wing blog once worked for his campaign. According to Carnahan, Powers volunteered for his campaign in July and was hired this month as a political canvasser -- a job he kept for five days before being let go for "failing to do his job."

Congressman Russ Carnahan held a press conference confirming that the person St. Louis police arrested and released for last week's firebombing of his campaign headquarters did in fact work for his re-election campaign. Carnahan did not say the man's name but did confirm that the name Chris Powers made public this morning on a right-wing blog was accurate. According to Carnahan, the suspect volunteered for his campaign in July and was hired this month as a political canvasser -- a job he kept for five days before being let go for "failing to do his job." According to Gateway Pundit, the person who set fire to an office of a Democrat, Rep. Russ Carnahan, is a fellow Democrat. Reportedly, the arsonist is a disgruntled employee of the congressman and a lefty blogger at Talking Points Memo. A televison station in St. Louis, KMOV, is saying that the terrorist -- yes, that's what he is -- has been arrested. If so, what exactly were the charges? Is he now in jail? And, where is the mug shot? It's safe to say that if the culprit were a Republican, the details of his arrest, along with his mug...

This is the kind of ad we need to see more of all around the country. Republican Rep. Roy Blunt uses this ad to hang the radical Obama agenda around the neck of his Democrat opponent for U.S. Senate – Robin Carnahan. The ad says Carnahan supported Obama’s Stimulus Bill, Government Run Health Care, and a new Energy tax. It then asked voters, “Do you?” The more Republican candidates can run against Obama in their local races, the stronger the GOP wave will become.

‘Rubberstamp’ Robin Carnahan is at it again. This time, she has come out in favor of Elena Kagan’s appointment to the United States Supreme Court—just the latest in a series of revelations proving that Carnahan would vote lockstep with the radical Obama-Pelosi-Reid agenda. Carnahan recently announced that she would support Kagan’s appointment because “the president… get[s] to chose Supreme Court appointees.” And despite the fact that the Senate is charged by the U.S. Constitution to provide “advice and consent,” Carnahan also claims that we should “just get on with it and move on to the next thing.” Carnahan’s support of...

In January of 2009 four-term US Senator Kit Bond (R-Missouri) announced he would not seek re-election in November, 2010. That made the Show Me State one of five with open seats Republicans will most likely need to hold if they want to take control of the Senate. As with most of the upcoming mid-term elections, voters' opinions of President Barack Obama and his policies will play a big roll in Missouri and as with most of the upcoming mid-term elections, that's not good news for the Democrat involved.

For once, I agree with MSNBC - this WILL be interesting. Let the Obama-bashing begin! Blunt vs. Carnahan and Obama: Meanwhile, in Missouri, likely GOP Senate nominee Roy Blunt is going up with a TV ad aimed at both Robin Carnahan -- and President Obama, Politico reports. The ad features Obama’s comment at a fundraiser for Carnahan earlier this month that Carnahan winning would give him another vote in the Senate. It concludes, “Roy Blunt -- he’ll work for Missouri, not Barack Obama.” This is a significant development in the national electoral landscape for this reason: It's the most direct...
  • NAACP: 'Uncle Tom' Kenneth Gladney 'Not Black Enough' to Protect (video)

On May 5th, 2010, the Missouri NAACP hosted a press conference and rally on behalf of Perry Molens and Elston McCowan, demanding the county prosecutor drop assault charges stemming from an attack outside Russ Carnahan’s townhall in South St. Louis County on Health Care last August. Molens and McCowan were arrested after the staged Carnahan event in August after they beat, kicked and stomped on black vendor Kenneth Gladney. The two Russ Carnahan supporters and SEIU members also called Kenneth the n-word as they bashed him into the cement.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — President Barack Obama has a new campaign slogan. “Yes, we did.” And it doesn’t stop there. Republicans, an animated Obama argued Thursday, wouldn’t have. They wouldn’t have set the economy back on track, he said during a fundraiser for Senate candidate Robin Carnahan, or passed a health care overhaul or financial regulatory reform. Giving the GOP control of Congress again — a possibility that Obama acknowledged — would usher in another era of a “you’re on your own philosophy,” he said. “You’re going to face a choice in November. This is a choice between the policies that got us...

Pres. Obama is the best fundraiser the Dem Party has, but his drawing power is way down from its peak during the '08 campaign. Obama is heading to MO and NV today to raise money for Sec/State Robin Carnahan (D), running for an open Senate seat, and Senate Maj. Leader Harry Reid. But Carnahan's campaign wasn't able to completely sell out the Folly Theater, where Obama will appear for a grassroots event on Carnahan's behalf, at the prices they wanted. Tickets once priced at $250 are now going for $99, while $35 tickets are half off. The grassroots event at...

Wind power is not economically feasible. It is only a reality because of tax breaks and government subsidies, which are often the seed corn for political favoritism and cozy dealings. In Missouri, a company called Wind Capital Group (WCG) is more than well connected. In the photo to the right is the firm’s CEO is Tom Carnahan. His brother is Congressman Russ Carnahan (D-MO), and his sister is Robin Carnahan, the Missouri Secretary of State. His father was governor and his mother a U.S. Senator. WCG applied for a whopping $90 million in Obama’s stimulus package. In addition, WCG has successfully...

When Republican Senator Christopher Bond of Missouri announced that he would not run for reelection, his seat seemed ripe for a Democratic pickup. Barack Obama had just narrowly missed carrying Missouri by 3,903 votes, Democrat Jay Nixon had just been elected governor, Democrat Clair McCaskill had defeated incumbent Republican Senator Jim Talent in 2006 and Democrats had a ready-made candidate in Secretary of State Robin Carnahan, daughter of the late Governor Mel Carnahan and of former Senator Jean Carnahan, sister of 3rd district Congressman Russ Carnahan and granddaughter of longtime (1945-47, 1949-61) 8th district Congressman A. Missouri voters continue to be unhappy with Barack Obama and his health care plan and that's helped Roy Blunt to take the lead in the US Senate race. Blunt is up 45-41 on Robin Carnahan, but that result probably has more to do with how the state feels about Barack Obama than it does about the candidates themselves. Voters who approve of Obama are voting for Carnahan by an 84-6 margin. Voters who disapprove of Obama are voting for Blunt 80-6. The problem for Carnahan is that a 52% majority of voters in the state fall in the disapprove column...

(CNSNews.com) - Contrary to reports that a coffin was placed on Rep. Russ Carnahan’s (D-Mo.) lawn on Mar. 21 while the House voted on the health care bill, the casket was never put on his property and was not used to signify a threat against him, according to the tea party activists who used it.   The coffin, in fact, was used as a prop at a prayer vigil on Mar. 21 to symbolize the “loss of freedom and the loss of lives due to government medical rationing,” said the activists. Further, the coffin, made of wood and stained a...

By the way: I would call Russ Carnahan 'inbred,' but that's an insult to endogamists. Let us start by watching what happened SUNDAY. This is via Gateway Pundit - who, by the way, was there and who was a spokesman: Got it? Low-key prayer vigil, coffin brought in for staged funeral of Constitution, old people crying, coffin then removed. Now let’s see how Politico referenced it: A coffin was placed on a Missouri Democrat’s lawn, another in a string of incidents against lawmakers after their vote Sunday on a health care overhaul.Rep. Russ Carnahan (D-Mo.) had a coffin placed “near...

I don't know what the big fuss is all about. Apparently the Democrats, and the FBI, don't get symbolism. Yes, a coffin is a metaphor for death. But I'll take the high road and see it as symbol that someone thinks Rep. Russ Carnahan (Disgrace-Mo.) is going to be dead at the polls come November.
