The Young TurksĎ Cenk Uygur issued a rebuke to Democrats who were assured that Hillary Clinton was a sure bet to beat Trump. Uygur was responding to footage of a Florida crowd breaking out in laughter when Democratic congressional candidate Charlie Crist said at a debate that Clinton was ďhonest.Ē Crist is a former Republican and also former Florida governor. (VIDEO-AT-LINK) ďThey LOLíd literally. Thatís a LOL,Ē Uygur said. He continued, ďDemocratic party establishment, you knuckleheads. What have you done? What have you done? You thought that she was the better candidate.Ē He noted that Florida, the home of the...

  • Cenk Uygur Shocked By Poll Saying 83% Of His Audience Would Never Vote For Hillary Clinton

Cenk Uygur, host of 'The Young Turks,' discusses the results of an unscientific (but large) poll of his audience showing that about 80% of his mostly-Sanders-supporting audience would NEVER vote for Hillary Clinton. "I don't want to speak for you guys," Uygur said of his audience -- the largest single online news show on YouTube -- "It was not a small amount of people voting. Over 20,000 votes on our app and @YouTube - over 80% of our audience saying they'd never vote for Hillary. I'm shocked by that result.

It’s that time of year again. Or month. Day? Someone with a camera and a microphone has an opinion on the Second Amendment, which is about all it takes these days to spew idiocy all over the internet. The latest is Cenk Uygur from The Young Turks, a YouTube Channel with 2.4 million subscribers. Cenk preached to his audience all the classical anti-Second Amendment talking points. He feathered in a couple of facts, but it’s mostly an Oregon Trail of ox feces. Time for my rebuttal… VIDEO:

In the immediate aftermath of the multiple explosions that rocked the Copley Square area of Boston during this afternoonís marathon, New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof took to Twitter to say that the tragic events are a ďreminderĒ of how Senate Republicans blocked the appointment of a new director for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). ď[E]xplosion is a reminder that ATF needs a director. Shame on Senate Republicans for blocking apptment,Ē he tweeted with a link to a Washington Post article on the Senate GOPís threats to put a hold on President ObamaĎs nomination for a...

Yesterday on The Young Turks, Cenk Uygur took on Sean Hannity over his confrontational showdown with a Palestinian guest. Uygur said Hannity couldnít last a debate where he didnít control the format and setting, and said if he ever got the chance to debate Hannity fairly, ďIíll kick his [expletive] all day long.Ē Uygur charged that on Fox News, any criticism of Israel whatsoever isnít tolerated, and Hannity kept poking at his guest ďso he can say, ĎSee? Angry Muslims.íĒ But would Uygur ever face off with Hannity himself? He said if he did, ďheíll do the usual badgering, but...

On April 8, House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi headlined a Boston conference on ''media reform.'' She was joined by four other congressmen, a senator, two FCC commissioners, a Nobel laureate and numerous liberal journalists. The 2,500-person event was sponsored by a group called Free Press, one of more than 180 different media-related organizations that receives money from liberal billionaire George Soros. Soros, who first made a name for himself in investing and currency trading, now makes his name in politics and policy. On the Monday broadcast of Current TV's "The War Room" network host Cenk Uygur observed Americans would not be as outraged if the Boston bomber turns out to be a "right-wing white guy" instead of a Muslim terrorist. "Now, if it's a right-wing white guy, those same exact people will turn around and say, 'Well, look, let's not over blow this. I mean it's just one crazy guy, he doesn't affect anything else. It has no other implications, let's just all calm down," Uygur said. Michael Shure, the host of "The War Room," said Cenk could be totally wrong about...

Keith Olbermann, who came to Current TV this year to remake the channel and compete against his old home, MSNBC, is sitting out the biggest political nights of the season. Despite being the biggest star on the fledging channel, Mr. Olbermann is not scheduled to anchor Currentís coverage of the Iowa caucus or the New Hampshire primary in January. Instead, Currentís other prime time anchors, Cenk Uygur and Jennifer Granholm, will be joined by the channelís chairman, the former vice president Al Gore. Mr. Olbermann also was noticeably absent from two special reports that Current produced after Republican debates in...

"Cenk's Back" and Grayson's on him! Yes, that's the news that's rocking the political talk world today. Cenk Uygur is BACK! Back on TV, back in your living room, where he belongs. And--now hold on to your hat--Alan Grayson is slated to be his first guest, TONIGHT! Wow! Is this exciting or what? Your genial TV talk host, Cenk "The Young Turk" Uygur, has been absent from the cable airwaves, lo, these past many months, after an all-too-brief run on MSNBC, where, somehow, he was not able to garner the ratings he so richly deserves. I think Diebold must...

Jennifer Granholm, host of "The War Room," says she loves the Occupy movement and discusses what she'd like to see come out of it. She also says she's excited to join Keith Olbermann and Cenk Uygur in their coverage of the protests, which balances the mainstream media's focus on scattered clashes with police and other skirmishes.

Perhaps we shouldn't be too surprised, but at MSNBC, Obama was actually criticized last night . . . for not being hard enough on Israel. Cenk Uygur said "the president's speech was too much leaning towards Israel." Uygur also disagreed with Obama's disapproval of any attempt by the Palestinians to stage an end-run on a negotiated peace by going to the UN to have their state established. And for good measure, Cenk accused Israel of the "oppression" of the Palestinians. View video here.

When NBC News and Cenk Uygur "mutually agreed" to part ways last week, Uygur took to his internet news program to explain his departure. He boasted that his YouTube show had "up to a million views per day." This suggests that the world was hungry for Uygur's special brand of progressive political commentary. We here at have taken a look inside the numbers and the fact is that political commentary is not what online viewers of "The Young Turks" keep clicking for. In fact, they arenít looking for "news" either. The "up to a million views per day" are...

This week Cenk Uygur lost his spot as interim host of the 6pm slot on MSNBC; since then there has been something of a he said/he said surrounding the reasons behind Uygurís departure from the cable news network. Last night, Uygur appeared on Countdown with Keith Olbermann, which now appears on the fledgling Current network, for an interview rife with hidden meanings, subtext, and almost Shakespearean tragic tones. There is a lot to unpack in the following clip, but the core of it centers around the notion of established, mainstream media, and whether or not Uygur was somehow a victim...

Former MSNBC host Cenk Uygurís departure from the network earlier today was fairly quiet for a close-to-primetime host, and the network made it clear it was his choice to leave. It didnít take long for the newly liberated Uygur to address his fans. In the end, he explained, it boils down to this: Cenk Uygur is a tiger, and MSNBC tried to cage him. ďThey offered, honestly, a lot of money,Ē Uygur explains in his message, where he also says the role would have been a smaller oneĖ ďcontributor, etc.ĒĖ instead of the alternate program the MSNBC statement suggested. People unfortunate enough to be watching MSNBC since Keith Olbermann was forced out in January have noticed a tremendously unqualified "Young Turk" in the 6PM slot that used to be occupied by Ed Schultz. For the past two weeks, Al Sharpton has filled in for the supposedly vacationing Cenk Uygur, and according to TVNewser, this might be permanent:

Cenk Uygur was thrust onto the MSNBC schedule in January, when Keith Olbermann‚Äės departure set in motion several host changes on the progressive channel‚Äôs lineup. Now TVNewser hears Uygur may be moved out of the 6pm hour, possibly to be replaced by Al Sharpton. When the host changes happened earlier this year, the 6pm hour was simply known as ‚ÄúMSNBC Live,‚ÄĚ a telling sign that MSNBC was trying out Uygur. Sharpton has hosted the 6pm show for the last two weeks. This past week, the hour was second, to Fox News, in A25-54 viewers Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.Insiders tell us...

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? -- Matthew 7:4 On a somewhat slow Thursday night, let's have a good chuckle. On his MSNBC show this evening, Cenk Uygur jumped on a poll showing Paul Ryan with a 26% unfavorability rating to declare that America "can't stand" the Wisconsin congressman and that the 26% unfavorable rating is "disastrous." Question for Cenk: if a 26% unfavorable rating is that bad, how would you describe Nancy Pelosi's unfavorable rating of . . . 63%? Just wondrin'...
