Angus King's lead shrinks to 15 points over Charlie Summers in one poll, and to 8 points in a second poll. Two new polls released Wednesday show former Gov. Angus King holding onto a significantly narrowed lead in Maine's Senate race. Public Policy Polling, a national pollster, has King with 43 percent, Republican Charlie Summers with 35 percent and Democrat Cynthia Dill with 14 percent. King is running as an independent. A poll released today by Public Policy Polling, a national Democratic firm, found that independent former Gov. Angus King would narrowly win a three-way race against Democratic Congresswoman Chellie Pingree and Republican Secretary of State Charlie Summers. Former independent Gov.
