An organization that investigates and fights government corruption announced this week that it obtained records detailing costs associated with a trip made by President and Mrs. Obama and key members of the administration to Copenhagen, Denmark, for the expressed purpose of securing the 2016 Olympics for the city of Chicago. Expenses for the two-week trip appear to have far exceeded $467,175, in light of the fact that costs associated with the aircrafts ? two Boeing 747s and several Air Force cargo planes – have not been made available. According to the records obtained from the Obama Department of Defense (DOD),...

This guy has the lead touch. Next time your liberal friends tell you what a great leader Obama is, just point to what happened in Asia last week. One of the main purposes of the Asia trip was to sign a free-trade agreement with South Korea. The deal had already been fully negotiated (under Bush), was all set to go, it just needed the President's signature. So what does Know-It-All do? He tries to renegotiate the terms to be more friendly to his union buddies back home. End result? Talks collapse, no trade deal. Obama heads home empty-handed - again....

“Nothing is easier than blaming others for our troubles and absolving ourselves of responsibility for our choices and our actions. Anyone can do that. Responsibility and leadership in the 21st century demands more.” — Barack Obama Very poignant statement by Barack Obama, but as witnessed by his leadership style and penchant for blaming Bush on a weekly basis for something he can’t control, he left it incomplete.

Some Chicago officials say anti-American resentment likely played a role in Chicago's Olympic bid dying in the first round Friday. President Obama could not undo in one year the resentment against America that President Bush and others built up for years, they said. "There must be" resentment against America, the Rev. Jesse Jackson said, near the stage where he had hoped to give a victory speech in Daley Center Plaza. "The way we [refused to sign] the Kyoto Treaty, we misled the world into Iraq. The world had a very bad taste in its mouth about us. But there was...

President Obama is dispatching an advance team to Copenhagen to pave the way for a possible personal appearance before the Olympic committee next month. The decision doesn't necessarily mean Obama will be able to make an in-person appeal for his adopted hometown of Chicago, which is bidding to to host the Olympics in 2016, a senior advisor to the president said this afternoon. But the president wants to make sure he has the option to go, in case he can get away from the health care discussions to make the trip. Before any presidential trip, the White House advance teams...
