To Walk Humbly with Thy God     Elder Marlin K. JensenOf the Presidency of the SeventyMarlin K. Jensen, "“To Walk Humbly with Thy God”", Ensign, May 2001, 9  True humility will inevitably lead us to say to God, “Thy will be done.”  One of the memorable themes of last October’s general conference was that, in addition to being concerned about what we do, we Latter-day Saints ought also to pay attention to what we are and are striving to become. 1 With that principle in mind, I listened attentively last November to President Gordon B. Hinckley’s address to the youth of the...

MIDVALE -- A 57-year-old Kearns man who touted himself as a marriage counselor and therapist to Mormon congregations has been charged with forcible sexual abuse. Arturo Tenorio Arturio Tenorio was charged in 3rd District Court with two counts of forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony, after two separate women reported "inappropriate touching" to police, said Midvale police detective Jacob Cutright. He said the two women -- who came in individually and did not know each other previously -- shared "very similar" experiences. In each instance, their first few sessions involved both husband and wife, but then Tenorio said he needed...

Nevertheless, the Relief Mine is a public company with assets of about $3.5 million. Stock in the mine is traded and there’s a waiting list to buy shares. As Payson, Utah, writer/historian Kevin Cantera writes in the most recent Sunstone, “investors seeking to purchase a stake in the mine...

400 years ago Catholics looked on Protestantism as a cult of Christianity that lead people to hell, and looked on Protestants as not really being Christians. Clearly they've changed their minds a bit over the years on that. In time, the same thing will happen with respect to Mormons IMHO. In fact it largely has already. While there are still some who speak of Mormons the same way that Catholics spoke of Protestants centuries ago, society in general recognizes The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as a Christian group. For example: Beliefnet.com lists Latter-Day Saints as a part...
