The very least parents expect when they send their children to any educational institution is security. This is the safety of both the physical and mental variety. After this safety is provided, the educational institute must provide a forum for a healthy exchange of ideas and debates. Education isn't merely about imparting knowledge but also about challenging students intellectually and compelling them to confront opposing perspectives. This is not a place for dogma but for open-mindedness. A student must be taught to challenge the seemingly immutable and form opinions after digesting facts about any subject from multiple perspectives. An educational...

Leftist Filmed Harassing White Students at Arizona State Exposed as Ford Foundation Fellow A campus leftist who filmed a viral video harassing two students at Arizona State University is a fellow of the Ford Foundation, one of the most wealthy and powerful non-governmental organizations in the world. Sarra Tekola identifies herself as a Ford Fellow on her now-locked Twitter feed. She’s a PhD candidate, not a delusional freshman who has no experience in confronting other people with different ideas.

Evolution makes atheists out of people! By Jonathan Sarfati Out on ministry at churches, our speakers often encounter anguished parents (and grandparents) lamenting that their children now reject the faith in which they were raised. If you too are a parent with this same angst, I remind you that Adam and Eve failed even with the best possible raising from God Himself, as well as enjoying perfect health and living in paradise. And Judas Iscariot remained unsaved despite three years with the best teacher ever: Jesus Himself. Evolution undermines basic Christian doctrines Having said that, there is a common pattern...

Heard on his radio program today. My close paraphrase: "I will not send another one of my children to college. I don't care if they're a mechanic, even a really bad mechanic that no one goes to. As long as they're not in the system. I know what's coming. And I don't want my children in the system. They can intern for someone, but I don't want them in the system." His comments were prompted by two things, the new "Core curriculum," and the prevailing Marxist ideology that we're all familiar with.

EXCERPT ‘‘We are putting colleges on notice,’’ Obama said. ‘‘You can’t assume that you'll just jack up tuition every single year. If you can’t stop tuition from going up, then the funding you get from taxpayers each year will go down.’’

A state appeals court has reinstated a lawsuit challenging a policy that allows some illegal immigrants to pay lower in-state tuition to attend California's public colleges and universities. The 3rd District Court of Appeal in Sacramento said Monday that a lower court erred in dismissing the suit brought by 42 students who paid far more to attend college because they were out-of-state residents. At issue is a 2002 law that made any California high school graduate who attended at least three years of high school in the state eligible for in-state fee breaks, regardless of immigration status.
  • Second Consecutive Civics Study (2007) Still Shows American College Students Failing Civic Literacy

America’s Founders were convinced American freedom could survive only if each generation understood its founding principles and the sacrifices made to maintain it. Failing Our Students, Failing America: Holding Colleges Accountable for Teaching America’s History and Institutions asks: Is American higher education doing its duty to prepare the next generation to maintain our legacy of liberty? In fall 2005, researchers at the University of Connecticut’s Department of Public Policy (UConnDPP), commissioned by the Intercollegiate Studies Institute’s (ISI) National Civic Literacy Board, conducted a survey of some 14,000 freshmen and seniors at 50 colleges and universities. Students were asked 60 multiple-choice...
