LIMA, Peru — Wilfredo Saavedra, a former Marxist rebel, led a convoy of some 300 activists from Peru’s northern sierra, wearing an anti-mining T-shirt and Cuban baseball cap. Jim Chomicz, 70, from Birmingham, Alabama, flew here with a church group to learn more about melting glaciers. But for many of their Latin American counterparts, it is all about toppling capitalism, which they blame for the environmental degradation. “Capitalism is the creator of all of these changes to the climate,” said Mr. Saavedra. At a march this week, Ibis Fernández, a Peruvian union leader and organizer of the People’s Climate Summit,...

North Korea is irate at its neighbor to the south for its decision to allow Christians to erect a 30-foot Christmas tree roughly two miles form the border, saying it will “escalate confrontation” and cause a war. The KCNA news agency, North Korea’s state-run media apparatus, described the Christmas tree as an “intolerable insult” and an act of “despicable psychological warfare” by South Korea that “will fan up the confrontation with the fellow countrymen in the north and bring a war disaster.”

There's no sugarcoating it. The November 2014 election results marked a serious setback for Democrats, the anti-ultra right alliance and the broad people's coalition led by labor. The fight for jobs at living wages, workers and immigrant rights, racial and gender equality, for climate justice and peace proceeds under more unfavorable conditions. The election resulted in a wave of victories for the Republicans and ultra right that may have surpassed 2010. However, while the GOP claims otherwise, it was not a mandate for right-wing policies. Grassroots efforts by labor and its allies mobilized millions of voters. Tens of thousands of...

Wow! The Ferguson rioters hit Target again Sunday night. They terrorized a mother and daughter and chased them from the store. The protesters called the woman a racist because she dared to confront them.

A crowdfunding campaign advertising itself as the Ferguson Legal Defense Fund has been running a campaign since October that boasts a goal of raising $250,000 for protesters in Ferguson, Missouri, seeking “money for jail, bail & life.” Protesters have been voicing outrage over the shooting death of Michael Brown, ratcheting up demonstrations in the days surrounding a grand jury decision over whether to indict the officer who shot Brown....

Communist handout encourages St. Louis students to help shut campus, city down in wake of grand jury verdict ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Students at Saint Louis University were handed a communist leaflet as they walked between classes Wednesday afternoon that declared “if the murdering pig walks, AMERIKKKA must be brought to a halt.” The leaflet was distributed by two individuals associated with the Revolutionary Communist Party on Grand Boulevard, a busy street that intersects with the university’s quad and splits the two ends of the urban campus. “If the decision is announced at night, the next day should be a...

President Obama met with Ferguson protest leaders on November 5th, the day after the midterm elections. The meeting was not on his daily schedule. He was concerned that the protesters “stay on course.” What does that mean? And why is the president meeting with the violent Mike Brown protesters before a verdict is reached in the court case? The Ferguson protesters have looted over 100 businesses in the St. Louis area. The New York Times hid this in the 21st paragraph of their report: But leaders here say that is the nature of a movement that has taken place, in...

Elizabeth Warren insists she has no interest in running for president in 2016, but the rich liberals to whom she spoke Thursday afternoon seemed unwilling to take ‘no’ for an answer. The Massachusetts senator got a rock stars’ welcome during a closed-door speech to major donors, one of whom interrupted her by yelling “Run, Liz, Run!”

In my opinion as a Christian, the Democrats' hate-whitey-get-out-the-black-vote scheme is a satanic plot conceived by deviant minds. Folks, words cannot express my visceral disdain for such shameful politicking. Any media personality or outlet that signs on to the Democrats' unconscionable plan should be shunned, unworthy of your respect or time.

Just another example of our White House Commie circumventing our Constitution and our historical method of governing to appoint a political hack to oversee our defense of an ebola outbreak.. Everything this bogus president does is based on political gain and not even remotely connected to logicly solving problems. This moron has done more damage to America than all other historical enemies combined...........WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the recent months, I have been engaged in political debates with liberals mostly under the age of 40 (I am over the age of 40). These debates have taken place in person, via email and political discussion blogs. In each occurrence, I was contacted or confronted by the individuals who wanted to engage in discussions with me. I was personally contacted and invited to participate in discussions on a blog that repost some of my articles. However, after each round of discussions, I am saddened with the realization that our great country is in deep trouble if today’s young...

ACORN's old Missouri chapter is playing at least a supporting role in the violent unrest and crime wave that has plagued Ferguson and St. Louis, Missouri since the Aug. 9 death of Michael Brown. With all the pathologies on parade right now in and around Ferguson, really, how could the loyalists of ACORN, which once claimed a membership of 400,000, have stayed away from the opportunity to lynch a white police officer for doing his job? The recruiting and fundraising opportunities for the cop-hating progressive movement are virtually unlimited.

Che Cafe at UCSD must close, judge rules SAN DIEGO — The student-run Che Cafe at UC San Diego will have to close its doors after a judge ruled Tuesday in favor of the university in its eviction lawsuit. UCSD filed suit after the student collective refused to vacate the 1940s- era building on campus. University officials said the building needs $700,000 in repairs to stay open. Superior Court Judge Katherine Bacal ruled in favor of UCSD after a bench trial.

Look whose photo graces the campus of UCLA, meant to be an inspiration to incoming students. The woman in the photo is standing above the slogan: “We Question.” On the right-hand side, in small letters, students are informed that they are “the optimists.” This banner adds to the shadow that today is cast over so many of our major universities. For those who can’t identify her, the photo depicts Angela Davis, the notorious former Communist Party USA leader who, beginning in the ’60s, molded together black nationalism with Marxism-Leninism. She created a heady brew for recruiting new cadre into the...

They took to the streets in downtown St. Louis on Saturday, coming by the thousands to march in protest. And what was the festering grievance that cohered these marchers, the noble cause that brought them from every corner of the country to the Gateway City? Was it the new war in Iraq? Global warming, perhaps? Or was it a higher minimum wage they were seeking? No, it was none of these things. As the St. Louis Post-Dispatch tells it [1], they came “to protest the death of Michael Brown and call for an end to police violence nationwide.”

Forget the possibility of the enemy at the gates. The enemy has breached the gates. The enemy is within. The enemy is in Washington, D.C., and in Ferguson, Missouri. The ideology that has grabbed a hold of Ferguson is the same one that destroyed Detroit. Black Nationalism. Imagine mixing a little Marxism, a generous portion of Islamism, and throwing in bits and pieces of class envy, class warfare, and a compromised version of Christianity that Jesus Christ would fail to recognize, stir it all together with a generous portion of anger and hate thrown in, and you’ve got Black Nationalism.

Thousands gathered Saturday for a second day of organized rallies and marches protesting Michael Brown’s death and other fatal police shootings in the St. Louis area and nationwide. The events remained peaceful but boisterous gatherings into the night. Vietnam-era peace activists, New York City seminarians and hundreds of fast-food workers bused in from Chicago, Nashville and other cities marched alongside local residents, spurred by a national campaign dubbed Ferguson October.

Today marks 47 years since the death of Marxist revolutionary Che Guevara—an international terrorist responsible for the murder of thousands of innocent people. Despite Che’s murderous history, the Left continues to glorify and idolize him. Images of Che’s face can be seen on t-shirts, coffee mugs, keychains, and sweatshirts—ironic because he wasn’t a proponent of free-markets. Students walk around their campuses wearing shirts with Che’s image on it, yet they have no idea of the atrocities he committed. Unfortunately, most students either ignore this part of his story or are never truly informed about his actions. Every year Young America’s...

When describing my ill thoughts to someone recently about Harry Reid, the person asked me: “Who is worse -- Barack Obama or Harry Reid?” My immediate answer was Harry Reid. I can understand someone taking a different position on that question. Let me explain why there is no one I have ever loathed more in American government than Senator Harry Reid (D-NV), who hereafter will be referred to as the nickname I gave him years ago – The Undertaker.

Yes, I am going to be a bit tacky. I tried to tell y'all back in 2008 – my black family, white friends, and associates – but none of you would listen. I kept thinking, am I the one who is crazy? Will anyone even consider looking beyond his race and taking a good look at Obama, the man?
