It has crossed my mind in listening to all the talk lately that the Republicans running for election need to come out with a huge plan - a sort of Contract FOR America. Bullet points on how we can take hold and help right the ship. Much like Newt Gingrich did with the Contract with America, we need more a Contract FOR America going forward. We need to be a party of PROBLEM/CRISIS SOLVING, instead of the party of "NO" and fingerpointing. An organization called the Tea Party Patriots, comprising a number of conservative grassroots groups, has unveiled a list of 20 possible items for inclusion in a new “Contract from America,” and is urging people to visit its web site and vote for their top ten. The list is distinct from another effort to define what conservatives should stand for going into the 2010 elections: the Mount Vernon Statement. I am putting together a new Contract for America I would like to see current Republicans and hopeful 2010 candidates put their name too. I have a plan for this and I need your help to come up with what needs to be in here. My first step is to get additions, second step is to approach local conservatives in south Florida, including Lt. Col. Allen West.
