A ‘conservative’ radio station caves to the mob. I am no stranger to cancel culture — or what we know more commonly (and accurately, in my opinion) as censorship. When I was one of a handful of conservatives on a liberal college campus, my peers on the left reported me to our resident advisor for “creating an unsafe environment” and demanded the administration step in to cancel speaker events I hosted through the College Republicans. They later would ask the university to revoke my degree. Throughout my six years as a political journalist and commentator, left-wing activists have tried every...

Conservative radio host Dan Bongino announced his daily show will only air replays while he deals with a COVID-19 vaccine mandate with his show’s parent company Cumulus Media. Bongino shared the news during his Wednesday online podcast. “They didn’t consult with us content providers. I strongly object to the mandate,” Bongino said. “The fight with them is having a real impact. Behind the scenes, it’s getting a little ugly here. I wasn’t on the radio today. I don’t know what they did, played the ‘best of’ or whatever. You don’t treat people this way. You don’t let people go because...

Conservative pundits Clay Travis and Buck Sexton will soon take over Rush Limbaugh’s radio timeslot, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday. “The duo will serve up similar right-wing fare, tackling news stories of the day, politics and current events, peppered with call-ins from listeners and humor,” the Journal reported. “We’re not going to replace Rush Limbaugh, we’re going to have an evolution of the show with fresh voices – those that grew up on Rush and admired him,” president of iHeart Media’s Premiere Networks Julie Talbott said, according to the Journal. Travis is the founder of conservative sports website Outkick,...

In a report hotly disputed by Mark Levin, the most prominent figure mentioned, Paul Farhi of the Washington Post reports that Cumulus Media, a major syndicator of talk radio programs by conservative icons including Mark Levin, Ben Shapiro, and Dan Bongino, “has decided on an abrupt change of direction,” as the paper described it. Cumulus Media, which employs some of the most popular right-leaning talk-radio hosts in the United States, has told its on-air personalities to stop suggesting that the election was stolen from President Trump — or else face termination.Cumulus Media is the third largest owner and operator of...

Cumulus Media is clamping down on claims about election fraud across their network of radio stations which feature right-wing talkers such as Mark Levin and Dan Bongino. In a memo sent internally, executive vice president Brian Philips made clear that radio hosts will be fired if they start or continue to make baseless claims about election fraud. 'We need to help induce national calm NOW,' the memo read.

Red Apple is headed by chairman John Catsimatidis, who hosts the syndicated “Cats Roundtable Radio Show.” Calling the purchase the “next step in building a new broadcasting business,” Catsimatidis says he plans to “retain the excellent staff and talent working at the station now.” The sale leaves Cumulus with only one station in the New York market—“Radio 103.9” WNBM, an urban AC licensed to Bronxville, NY. Cumulus earlier sold...
