The Chicago City Council on Friday voted to rename its Lake Shore Drive expressway in honor of Jean Baptiste Pointe DuSable, the first non-Indigenous settler in the area who has been recognized as one of the city's founders. A federal appeals court on Tuesday revived a damages lawsuit against Kim Davis, the Kentucky county clerk who in 2015 refused to grant marriage licenses to same-sex couples because it conflicted with her Christian beliefs.
