The Washington Free Beacon is reporting that former Obama officials waged a secret campaign against national security adviser Mike Flynn which ultimately lead to Flynn being forced to resign. The report says that Flynn was targeted because he was strongly opposed to the Iran Nuclear deal which former President Barack Obama wants protected. The Obama loyalists conducted a behind the scenes attack against Flynn by injecting damaging stories on Flynn into the national media. According to the Free Beacon the attack was lead by former Obama administration adviser Ben Rhodes.

One day after Iran defied Trump with a new missile tests and threatened enemies with "roaring missiles" following Friday's Iran sanctions, confirming our Friday report, House Speaker Paul Ryan said that despite the troubling escalation in sanctions, the Iran Nuclear deal negotiated by the Obama administration is likely to remain in place. "A lot of that toothpaste is already out of the tube. I never supported the deal in the first place. I thought it was a huge mistake, but the multilateral sanctions are done," Ryan said in an interview with NBC's "Meet the Press" airing Sunday. Speaker Paul...

What does this executive order do? The Executive Order has four main policies 1) Places a 90 day moratorium on entry to the U.S. from the seven countries named in a 2015 law aimed at requiring stricter vetting for people entering from Iran or countries overrun by jihadist violence. 2) Suspends admission of refugees from any country for 120 days in order to conduct a review of the program. 3) Suspends admissions of refugees from Syria indefinitely. 4) Caps the number of refugees this year at 50,000 How does President Trump have the authority to do this? Donald Trump plans new deal for Britain as Theresa May becomes first foreign leader to meet new president since inauguration Donald Trump is planning a new deal for Britain this week as Theresa May becomes the first foreign leader to meet him since the inauguration... The new relationship - which comes with both countries redefining their roles in the world - is due to be cemented with a state visit for Mr Trump in the summer. The US President’s team has made clear he wants a “full Monty” visit that will eclipse the trips of his predecessors in pomp and...
  • China warns Trump: Iran nuclear deal must stand

BEIJING — Implementation of the Iran nuclear deal should not be “affected by any changes in the domestic situations” of countries involved, China’s foreign minister warned Monday, responding to US president-elect Donald Trump’s threats to abandon it. The agreement, signed in Vienna in July 2015 and in force since January 2016, was the signature diplomatic breakthrough of Barack Obama’s second term. It calls on Tehran to curb its nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief from the US and other nations. Trump has promised to tear up the nuclear deal once in office, calling the agreement under which it was...

Family Research Council (FRC) today expressed outrage after the State of Georgia issued a legal demand that Dr. Eric Walsh, a lay pastor, hand over his sermons, sermon notes and all pastoral documentation, including his Bible. FRC launched a petition today at frc.org/walsh that calls on Governor Deal to "correct this egregious over-reach of the state into church affairs." "This demand for Dr. Eric Walsh's sermons, sermons notes and ministerial documentation is an alarming display of government intrusion into the sanctity of the church, pastor's study and pulpit," said Tony Perkins, Family Research Council president and himself an ordained pastor....

Pro-life Catholics need to wake up and realize that most of the “officialdom” of the Catholic Church in the U.S. is already rolling out a national campaign that is virtually an arm of the Democratic Party. If you don’t believe me, start tracking the various conferences and forums being offered in your diocese, drill down to look at the host organization, the speakers, and their topics. Better yet, attend one and publicly voice your pro-life preferences and see what happens.
  • New York Post: FBI Agents Tell Us Lynch and Clinton Struck a Deal on That Plane

ust one week before FBI Director James Comey announced the Bureau would not recommend charges be filed against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for storing and transferring top secret, classified information on multiple private, unsecured email servers, Attorney General Loretta Lynch had a private meeting with former President Bill Clinton on her private jet in Phoenix. After being caught by a local reporter, Lynch claimed the email investigation wasn't discussed and that social topics like grandchildren and golf were the topics of the day. She said the same yesterday during congressional testimony. But according to a report from the...

Will careless security-clearance holders get a pass? Time will tell. Attorneys for people who allegedly mishandled classified information say the outcome of the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton could be good news for their clients. Though many see a double standard in FBI Director James Comey’s decision not to recommend charges against the former secretary of state who used a personal and unsecured email system for official business, others see possibilities. Mark Zaid, a defense attorney for national security whistleblowers and people accused of mishandling secrets, says he plans to ask for “the Clinton deal” in the future. And Zaid...

Former student Joseph Anthony Scott Jr. faces charges including murder in the Tuesday killing of 19-year-old freshman Donnell Phelps. Police say Scott was harassing and groping three young women near the school cafeteria, and Phelps came to their aid by trying to intervene.

On May 3 Georgia Governor Nathan Deal (R) took the action Everytown for Gun Safety had urged by vetoing campus carry legislation that had been on his desk for over a month. The legislation–HB 859–was passed by the Georgia House on February 22. On February 26, Deal took front and center in defending the bill, even suggesting that those who opposed it were using old arguments that had proven vacuous after other concealed carry expansions.

President Obama vigorously defended his nuclear negotiations at the end of a summit of Persian Gulf state leaders and a rocky visit to Saudi Arabia aimed at reassuring the anxious ally and seeking more support for the fight against the Islamic State. While the president acknowledged Saudi concern that the United States should not be "naïve" when dealing with Iran, he cited previous presidents' willingness to engage in talks with Russia during the height of the Cold War as models to follow. "John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan still negotiated with the Soviet Union even when the Soviet Union was...

Yesterday Sen. Tom Cotton moved to block confirmation of an Obama nominee for an important post at the Department of Treasury. Adam Szubin was nominated last year to fill the position of Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Crimes, and when the Democratic Senator from Ohio Sherrod Brown pressed for a vote yesterday, the Republican from Arkansas spoke out. Cotton believes that the White House has lied to and continues to lie to the representatives of the American people about the Iran nuclear deal, specifically right now about letting Iran have access to the dollar, which the White House said...

Crane Calls for Special Session to Override Governor’s Veto March 28, 2016 “Today, we saw exactly why our government needs committed conservatives who never stop fighting to protect the Constitution. The announcement by Governor Deal is another example of how the political class is bought and paid for by corporations and lobbyists. Rather than standing up and protecting the 1st Amendment, the political class would rather sacrifice those rights to keep the money flowing. It is fair to note, that Governor Deal voted in favor of the Federal RFRA when in Congress. A RFRA that is far stronger than what...

Trump made a deal with Rinse Penus that he wouldn't go third party if the RNC treated him fairly. They haven't come close to keeping their end. It appears to me that there is now a concentrated effort to flip Trump out by hitting at the most personal things to Trump they can hit. They sent their anointed bubble boy out to infer Trump had a small penis. Then they sent their holy Bible-cloaked Munster to have a naked photo of Trump's wife pop up on a PAC ad. Now Puppet Romney is doubling down on insulting Trump's wives. If...

The icy relationship between Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump and Republican leaders in Congress may be starting to thaw. Both House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., Tuesday discussed having positive phone conversations with Trump after weeks of refusing to even mention the business mogul by name. In both cases, Trump picked up the phone first. "Donald Trump called this morning and we had a good conversation," McConnell told reporters Tuesday. "I appreciated his call."

Behind the backs of some her closest European allies, Angela Merkel struck a deal with her Turkish counterpart that could very well end the influx of refugees - but at a very high price, including an extra €3bn in aid and a visa-free travel scheme. There are already signs that her new swashbuckling style has its costs. EU diplomats have been left bruised and angered by being cut out of her bilateral dealmaking and risk turning on her when the deal goes before another summit next week for final approval. Her own political allies at home on Tuesday hinted at...

The Obama administration sent the first $500 million to the United Nations' Green Climate Fund this week, thumbing its nose at Republican opponents who say taxpayers shouldn't be on the hook for the money. Critics of the U.S. participating in the fund came out against the president's actions Tuesday. "President Obama continues to prioritize his political interests over the interests of the American people," said Tom Pyle, president of the conservative American Energy Alliance. "The administration intends to funnel hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars into the U.N.'s climate slush fund while pursuing a domestic agenda that will raise energy...
