Hillary Clinton has no campaign rallies scheduled for the foreseeable future. Her calendar only includes a few fundraisers. The mainstream media defended Hillary saying her strategy was “going small”. But there’s something going on. This weekend Hillary wandered out for a fundraiser in Nantucket. She wore black pants and a heavy (wool?) coat… In August… at an outdoor fundraiser. What’s going on? what a bizarre choice of clothing. Americans are supposed to trust her but she can’t even choose the right clothes to wear.

Hillary Clinton just wrapped up her one public appearance for the day, and she has nothing else scheduled until Sunday. Hillary Clinton resting cropWith 83 days to go, what’s she doing for the next 96 hours? She just held a rally in Cleveland, Ohio, where she struggled to fill a high school gymnasium — if it wasn’t for hundreds of students. But according to the schedule tracking website HillarySpeeches.com, she doesn’t have another event announced until Sunday, when she’ll make a Massachusetts fundraising appearance with Cher. She apparently is prone to exhaustion, which may be why she has no events...

On the Fourth of July we celebrate the country’s independence from Great Britain. We also honor the country’s founding and remember the unalienable rights to “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” laid out in the Declaration of Independence. The Fourth marked the official start to a long fight against a tyrannical, distant government that abusively meddled with the lives of colonists. This year, perhaps you’ll celebrate our hard-won freedoms by waving the flag, watching a parade, or enjoying fireworks. But everyone will celebrate with food. So what better time is there to consider how the federal government currently meddles...

As many of you might know, I am also called The Coupon Whisperer (as well as "Big Daddy Goo-Goo" and nastier things). Anyway, I often put together coupon deals. Some are simple and some are complex. I don't consider myself to be an "Extreme Couponer." Instead, I consider myself to be a "SUPREME Couponer." The difference is that an Extreme Couponer will get a 20 year free supply of mustard while a SUPREME Couponer will get a free laptop computer (I already did) or even FREE gasoline (I did that too). Anyway, I sometimes get stuff that I have little...

At a business summit on energy, Politickerma.com reports, a prominent supporter of Sen. Barack Obama, D-Mass., made a crack about Sen. John McCain's age. "These are the exciting last two week moments of the presidential campaign," said Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., today in Cambridge, Mass. "So it's a very special time. I can't wait for it to be over. I am so tired of the press' silly questions that they ask along the way. And cable television which reduces everything to stupidity - the lowest common denominator of conflict." "I don't know if any of you know what it's like....

It's alright Keith, he was a POW for 5 1/2 years, you were a sportscaster. You absolutely have the authority to insult him. By the way Keith, you ever taken an auto Kalashnikov butt to the jaw like senator McCain? Had you ever, you might have been the one who needed the Depends... CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Republican Sen. John Warner of Virginia, one of the most authoritative voices in Congress on the military and a key figure in the debate over Iraq, said Friday he will not seek a sixth term in 2008. Warner, 80, has held the seat since 1978, when the dashing former Navy secretary campaigned alongside his wife at the time, Elizabeth Taylor. His retirement offers Democrats a valuable opportunity to challenge the GOP for the seat and possibly expand their one-vote Senate majority. "Public service is a privilege and I urge all to try to find time some time...

LOS ANGELES - Paris Hilton plans to appear on CNN's "Larry King Live" on Wednesday night, a day after she's scheduled to be released from jail, a spokeswoman for King said Saturday. "We do have Paris on Wednesday," said the show's spokeswoman, Bridget Leininger. "She'll do the whole hour." Hilton spokesman Elliott Mintz didn't immediately return a call seeking comment. CNN's announcement followed competition for the interview between ABC and NBC that ended Friday with both networks saying they were no longer interested. Both networks were embarrassed by reports that they were willing to pay the Hilton family for materials...

The Democratic senator leading the inquiry into the dismissal of federal prosecutors insisted Sunday that Karl Rove and other top aides to President Bush must testify publicly and under oath, setting up a confrontation between Congress and the White House, which has said it is unlikely to agree to such a demand. Some Republicans have suggested that Mr. Rove testify privately, if only to tamp down the political uproar over the inquiry, which centers on whether the White House allowed politics to interfere with law enforcement. But Senator Patrick J. Leahy, Democrat of Vermont and chairman of the Senate Judiciary...

Cape Canaveral, Fla. (AP) -- Astronaut Lisa Nowak was fired from NASA on Wednesday, a month after she was charged with trying to kidnap a woman she regarded as her romantic rival for the affections of a space shuttle pilot. NASA officials said Nowak's dismissal did not reflect the space agency's belief in her guilt or innocence. The agency said it lacked an administrative system to handle the allegations because Nowak is a naval officer on assignment to NASA, rather than a NASA civil servant. If Nowak were a civil servant, NASA would have the choice of placing her on...

ORLANDO, Fla. -- On July Fourth, Independence Day, Lisa Nowak triumphantly lifted off from the Kennedy Space Center aboard shuttle Discovery. On Tuesday, 57 miles from the launch pad, she stood before a judge and wore shackles and a blue prisoner uniform. The married mother of three was charged Tuesday with attempted murder, accused of hatching an extraordinary plot to kidnap Air Force Capt. Colleen Shipman, who she believed was her rival for the affections of space shuttle pilot William Oefelein. Nowak had been charged Monday with attempted kidnapping and other counts. But after two appearances in court and worldwide...

The stock market hit a new high today. This has occurred almost daily for several weeks. Seems like great news and it is good news but there is one small problem. Correct for inflation (currency depreciation) the stock indices are down almost 7%. Yes, down not up. Without accounting for the depreciation of the currency the markets look better than they are. This week's Barron's has an article by Milton Ezrati titled "No Place For Pessimism" essentially predicting (hoping for) a better market. Over the last 80 years the stock market has returned 7% after adding in dividends and correcting...

Residents of Gaza vicinity communities are not the only ones suffering from anxiety; UN aid agencies fear shortage of food, medications and water pollution in PA territories Who is paying the price for the Gaza operation? PHILADELPHIA - The economy of the country's largest city and the entire nation would collapse if illegal immigrants were deported en masse, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg told a Senate committee hearing Wednesday. New York City is home to more than 3 million immigrants, and a half-million of them came to this country illegally, Bloomberg testified. "Although they broke the law by illegally crossing our borders ... our city's economy would be a shell of itself had they not, and it would collapse if they were deported," he said. "The same holds true for the nation." The hearing, led by...

WASHINGTON, June 9, 2006 – The death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is great news for Americans and Iraqis alike, but ultimate victory in Iraq depends on the success of the country's new government, President Bush said today. "Removing Zarqawi is a major blow to al Qaeda. It's not going to end the war, it's certainly not going to end the violence, but it's going to help a lot," Bush said during a joint news conference with Danish Prime Minister Anders Rasmussen at Camp David, Md. Victory in Iraq will come only when the country "can sustain itself, govern itself and...

Sacramento -- After touting his budget plan to increase funding for education and transportation, the governor sounded a cautionary note. "It's important to remember, however, that our great good fortune is the result of a strong economy and a surging stock market. And anybody who follows the Dow, and particularly the Nasdaq, realizes how volatile these sources of funds are." The governor was not Arnold Schwarzenegger, but Gray Davis as he released his budget six years ago when state coffers were brimming with $12.3 billion in extra cash. But the money -- based on such volatile revenue sources as capital...

I'm posting this in hopes of getting opinions and advice about my growing annoyance of being bombarded with loud hard rock music everywhere I go. It's in grocery stores, department stores, even dentists offices, and it's ALWAYS on TV, in practically every single commercial. What's worse, I got a job at a major chain department store that caters to mid-America. It's not Penny'S but it is on a par with Penny's/ The sotre plays mostly rock and roll all day long. At night it's nothing but hard rock. The Killers, Lynrd Skynrd, Blondie, Billie Idol, Swiftfoot, ZZ Top, and on...
