TRANSCRIPT Michael Voris: OK, there's really two sort of major areas. One is the money, and the other is the sexual. They have a sort of overlap, but let's speak of each one individually at first. So first the money. Tell us what you know and how you know it about the accusation embezzlement of tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of dollars. Bob: The embezzlement aspect of the scandal that has taken place in the archdiocese of New York comes from both parishes, and the reason I know this is because I've been privy to be at meetings where...

A couple of weeks ago, Church Militant reached out to the archdiocese of New York to ask for a private one-on-one meeting with Cdl. Dolan. Our continuing investigation of the Fr. Peter Miqueli sex and embezzlement case, along with the more important archdiocesan cover-up of the embezzlement, has led to a number of sources from inside the archdiocese that are now spilling the beans on what is an increasingly disturbing story. So we contacted the archdiocese through spokesman Joe Zwilling and asked for a private meeting with His Eminence to reveal what we knew only to him with the hope...

New York's Cardinal Timothy Dolan has acknowledged that he was one of a group of cardinals who sent a confidential letter to Pope Francis expressing concerns about the Synod process. In an interview with Sirius Radio, Cardinal Dolan said that he joined the effort at the instigation of Cardinal George Pell. He observed that Pope Francis had encouraged the Synod fathers to express their opinions honestly, and the cardinals' letter was sent in that spirit. However, the American cardinal disclosed that the letter, which came to light this week when a leaked (and apparently inaccurate) copy was published by a...

Too often it is necessary to expose the horrid misbehaviors of prelates such as Cardinal Dolan. You might recall that he was Grand Marshall of New York's last St Patrick Day parade that featured a gay group strutting their perversion. In light of that, it is refreshing to see a prelate taking his vocation as bishop seriously and standing up to mortal sin instead of celebrating it. Bishop Edward Slattery of Tulsa OK recently pulled his diocese out of a partnership with the Oklahoma Center for Community and Justice after the latter became a sponsor of the city's "gay pride"...

Video evidence released Friday indicates that New York City's Cardinal Timothy Dolan may have ordered the removal of reporters who dared to criticize him during a press rally at the city's famous St. Patrick's Day parade held last Tuesday. Cardinal Timothy Dolan of New York became persona non grata among faithful Catholics last September when he supported the St. Patrick's Day parade committee's decision to allow openly gay group OUT@NBCUNIVERSAL to march in the parade under their own banner while rejecting pro-life Catholic groups who wished to do the same. If Catholic leaders do still believe in sin, many sure don’t act like it. A secular dictionary defines sin as “an immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law.” The Catechism of the Catholic Church contains the following definition in paragraph 1850: Sin is an offense against God. . . . Sin sets itself against God’s love for us and turns our hearts away from it. Like the first sin, it is disobedience, a revolt against God through the will to become “like gods,” knowing and determining good and evil. Sin is thus “love of oneself even to...

Boy, the Cardinal Dolan hits just keep on coming. From the Cause of Archbishop Sheen It is with immense sadness that the Most Reverend Daniel R. Jenky, CSC, Bishop of Peoria and President of the Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Foundation, announced today that the Cause for Sheen’s beatification and canonization has for the foreseeable future been suspended. The process to verify a possible miracle attributed to Sheen had been going extremely well, and only awaited a vote of the Cardinals and the approval of the Holy Father. There was every indication that a possible date for beatification in Peoria would...

NEW YORK (RNS) After years of strong resistance, organizers of New York’s St. Patrick’s Day parade on Wednesday (Sept. 3) said that gays and lesbians will be allowed to march under their own banner for the first time, and Cardinal Timothy Dolan — the parade’s grand marshal next March — has welcomed the move. The decision is another sign of how quickly changing public attitudes toward gay people have pushed changes in state laws, government policies and the practices of private entities. Dolan’s positive response may also point to a shifting dynamic within the Catholic Church on gays and lesbians...

Many of our readers have undoubtedly heard that Holy Innocents Church, the only church in Manhattan where the Extraordinary Form is celebrated daily, faces the possibility of closure by the Archdiocese of New York. Via Rorate Caeli, which has reported on the situation several times, the following brief video published by our friends at Regina Magazine, shows several nice images of the church’s vibrant pastoral life, and ends with a link to a petition to Cardinal Dolan to keep the church open and operating.

I've been posting about Manhattan's homosexual parish, St. Francis Xavier run by the Jesuits. (See here, here, here, and here.) It's a scandal, but Cardinal Dolan seems to have no problem with it. No discipline for the priests there promoting homosexual acting out. In fact, he cheered them on at the parish rededication. Nope! Cardinal Dolan saves discipline for orthodox priests like Fr. Justin Wylie of Holy Innocents parish who dared to say in a Sunday homily that the diocese appears to be the abandoning the flock who desire the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM). Holy Innocents is the only parish...

As we reported yesterday (first post here), Fr. Justin Wylie, a South African priest serving as attaché to the Holy See's United Nations Permanent Observer Mission, was dismissed from his regular functions as a priest in the Archdiocese of New York following a sermon on the urgent need for the Archdiocese to send true and sympathetic shepherds to serve (and guide) those who attend the Extraordinary From of the Mass in the Archdiocese. We can now add that a correspondent of the blog spoke personally to Monsignor Edward Weber, the director of priest personnel for the Archdiocese of New York,...

Updates: I have been provided some background and additional info: Ever since the archdiocese learned of his homily remarks, he has been forbidden to offer public Masses in the NY archdiocese. A letter of complaint has been ldged with his home diocese of Johannesburg, S. Africa, as well as with his nuncio in Pretoria. Fr. Wylie has been in NYC as a visiting priest for three years. His term at the Holy See's Permanent Observer Mission to the UN was supposed to end in July. Once his remarks got out, he was sent packing immediately; he no longer works there.
