  • People really are stupid!

Talking with hubby tonight and he said "boy, people are really stupid" Where have we heard this recently? My take is: 1. People have gotten too far away from the farm to know where food comes from and other common sense values. 2. People have gotten too far away from church to know the difference from right & wrong. Not a gray area here. 3. Lawmakers have gotten too far away from the 10 Commandments to know the law. Thanks! I feel better now.

  • Sheriff Arpaio Gets A Get of Jail Freebe from POTUS

WASHINGTON ― President Donald Trump on Friday pardoned a notorious former Arizona sheriff who willfully violated a federal judge’s order by unlawfully detaining individuals his officers claimed might be in the country illegally. Former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who had previously proclaimed himself “America’s toughest sheriff,” was convicted of criminal contempt last month for violating a 2011 order that barred Arpaio and his office from detaining individuals solely based on suspicions about their legal status. Arpaio, 85, was scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 5. “Throughout his time as Sheriff, Arpaio continued his life’s work of protecting the public...

Hillary Clinton hasn't publicly conceded the Democratic nomination to Barack Obama, of course. But I have seen a significant new piece of evidence indicating that she has given up, that her actions show she is no longer acting primarily to win the election, but rather to position herself better if she loses. (Psychologically, her closing speech last night has been widely discussed as possibly hinting at the same thing.) What's the news? She has sent out invitations to Massachusetts supporters that she will be in Boston this Sunday (Feb 24), holding a fundraiser dinner (a $5,000 per table “Conversation with...

There's no doubt that many black women were raped by white men in America and never were held liable for it. When slavery was "legal," "rape" was an exercise of a property right instead of a crime. But (1) slavery ended long ago, (2) none of the Duke lacrosse players ever owned slaves, and (3) no innocent person ought to be convicted on a phony rape charge in order to "atone" in some perverse way for slavery or white racism, or as punishment for the stupidity of attending a party at which strippers of whatever color were the "entertainment." As...

Whats going on at Foxnews? I've been watching Foxnews on and off all day as always and am noticing quite an anti-war sentiment coming from many of the guests they have had on. It seems to me that Fox is subtly pumping anti-war rhetoric over the air waves. It isn't really coming as much from the hosts as much as the guests that they are putting on. First we had Greg Jarret (unabashed liberal) interviewing a former U.N. Weapons Inspector about the costs of the war. He asked how long it was going to take, and started insinuating we were...
