Americans are faced with a difficult and ugly choice in the coming election. Never in American history have there been two more unpopular candidates for president. For a year Donald Trump offended just about everyone, one way or another, but somehow managed to beat sixteen other conventionally more qualified candidates to become the Republican nominee. What explains his victory? His rage against the tyranny of the DC establishment, left and right, that resonated with many millions of people who are fed up with the blight upon free speech that is political correctness. They are fed up with Obama's eight years...

While the American Legion is hosting its 98th lavish National Convention, with Hillary Clinton and Robert McDonald as guests, on Wednesday, August 31, the veteran community has been struck with "yet another" unglamorous tragedy: our "yet another" 76-year-old veteran shot himself on August 21 after being denied care.

A controversy has erupted today because San Francisco 49er’s Quarterback Colin Kaepernick refused to stand up during the playing of the national anthem. "I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color." ~ Colin KaepernickSo what exactly is going on. Well, there's a little more to the story than most are willing to accept. The media and the NFL will avoid these discussions like the plague, but what the heck - the Truth Has No Agenda. During the off-season Colin Kaepernick converted to Islam. Colin...

Half of Germans oppose German Chancellor Angela Merkel seeking a fourth consecutive term, according to a survey published on Sunday in the newspaper “Bild am Sonntag.” The survey, conducted by the polling company Emnid, asked 501 Germans in August whether or not they would like to see Angela Merkel serve another term as Chancellor after the federal election in second half of 2017. Results showed that 50 percent of poll participants were against a new term for the Chancellor, while 42 percent were in favor. She has come under fire from both citizens and fellow politicians for her refugee policies....

Before reading on, please do me a favor and click the link to this video and watch the first 60 seconds. That's all I ask right now. Just watch the first minute and then come back to read the rest. You can watch the video in it's entirely later and I'll also post below a link to Part 2 of this speech by then Republican Nominee Ronald Reagan on a windswept late summer day at Liberty State Park, NJ - exactly 36 years ago this coming Thursday. Now let's time travel back to 36 years ago - September 1,...

Editor’s Note: Normal people might find some of this offensive. (We hope.) If you want to be a victim, become a liberal. It doesn’t matter whether you want to go online to whine about your lot in life or whether you want to harm others with everything from shutting down free speech to fiddling with the climate. Both work. It comes down to our different world views. When liberals talk about triggering, they mean someone said something their precious little ears couldn’t handle. (Note: That video spawned the “trigglypuff” meme. Watch it and you will understand.) When conservatives talk about...

Before the Internet when I wanted to keep track of a story, I had to clip articles and file them, often establishing over the years how much in error the press accounts had been. Now, a few clicks and there we have what we had remembered but not saved. It will come as no surprise to regular readers of the Washington Post to learn that one of their oped writers Ruth Marcus is easily exposed as a partisan spinner in a quick check of a comparison of her treatment of Hillary Clinton and former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell. This week,...

Enrollment in the insurance exchanges for President Obama’s signature health-care law is at less than half the initial forecast, pushing several major insurance companies to stop offering health plans in certain markets because of significant financial losses. As a result, the administration’s promise of a menu of health-plan choices has been replaced by a grim, though preliminary, forecast: Next year, more than 1 in 4 counties are at risk of having a single insurer on its exchange, said Cynthia Cox, who studies health reform for the Kaiser Family Foundation.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Virginia Republicans have chosen a primary rather than a convention for 2017 as a way to elect candidates for governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general. The State Central Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia narrowly voted Saturday to have a primary for the first time since 2005, scoring a win for the party’s establishment wing. John Whitbeck, chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia, said the primary will allow candidates to expand the party’s outreach. “We can’t afford anymore to exclude anybody from the Republican Party,” he said.

Another fallacy that is disabused in this survey (which states it follows in a long line of other surveys) is that more background checks will change anything in terms of how criminals get guns. Since they typically do not walk into an FFL making background checks more demanding, is not going to decrease the use of guns in crimes. For ordinary citizens, they must and do comply with the gun laws no matter how they acquire their guns. As I stated previously, it appears to me the anti-gun people are creating laws to restrict the activities of law-abiding citizens. That...

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump sounded off forcefully on immigration policy and deportations Saturday, vowing to start removing undocumented criminals "within one hour" of taking office, but providing no indication how he would approach the millions of other undocumented immigrants living in the United States. RALEIGH, N.C. — A federal judge ruled Friday that two students and an employee must be allowed to use restrooms matching their gender identity at University of North Carolina campuses, and he said they have a strong chance of proving the state's bathroom-access measure violates federal law. U.S. District Judge Thomas Schroeder temporarily blocked the University of North Carolina from making the three plaintiffs follow the restroom provision of the so-called HB2 law as the larger case makes its way to trial in November. His final decision on the law won't come until after trial. Passed in March, HB2 requires...

(snips) “Trump is someone who’s worked with the Jewish community his entire life and has family, including his daughter (Ivanka Trump) and son-in-law (Jared Kushner), who are both observant Jews,” Greenwald said. “The smearing of Trump as anti-Semitic is just outrageous.” JewsChooseTrump.org has steadily grown with Jewish supporters of Trump from across the country signing up to express their solidarity and looking for ways to get involved. The website has had over 78,000 visitors and over 1,000 people have signed up to publish their names, Greenwald said. Out of the over 1,000 names registered on JewsChooseTrump.org, a significant portion of...

The recent media frenzy surrounding Clinton and Trump's health records has accomplished little more than to, once again, expose a "press" that is becoming increasingly partisan with each passing day. Right-leaning media outlets have spent countless hours reporting on the various health issues experienced by Clinton over the years and pointing to pictures of her falling down on the campaign trail or seemingly zoning out at times as evidence of her frailty. Meanwhile the left-leaning organizations have mostly dismissed the Hillary health concerns as conspiracy theories of right-wing nut jobs. Like this tweet from a New York Times columnist calling...

The ad is titled "Keep Your Promise," which is a throwback to a comment Trump made early in the campaign that he'd bow out of the presidential race if he was far behind in national polls. "Resign the nomination. Let the RNC replace you so we can beat Hillary," the ad read at the end.
