BEIJING – At first, it looks like a sleek Apple store. Sales assistants in blue T-shirts with the company's logo chat to customers. Signs advertising the iPad 2 hang from the white walls. Outside, the famous logo sits next to the words "Apple Store." And that's the clue it's fake. China, long known for producing counterfeit consumer gadgets, software and brand name clothing, has reached a new piracy milestone -- fake Apple stores.

Did Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office distribute a fake anti-flotilla video? This is exactly what some American bloggers have been claiming, after probing a video that was uploaded to YouTube on Sunday. The video, nearly three minutes long, featured a young man who called himself Marc and claimed to be a gay and human rights activist. The man recounted a story in which he asked the organizers of the upcoming Gaza flotilla to join their mission, and claimed that his request was allegedly denied on the grounds that participation of the gay and lesbian group with which he was affiliated...

This GI Joe wannabe got a hero's welcome just by dressing the part. A Long Island man was arrested for donning an Army uniform and brazenly posing as a soldier so he'd get bumped up to first class on a flight to JFK from the Dominican Republic, Port Authority cops have charged. Rock Diaz, 22, of Freeport, has a history of pretending to be a military man to get VIP treatment, cops said -- he once even smooth-talked his way into a jetliner's cockpit, where he was photographed sitting at the controls wearing a goofy grin. The mile-high huckster was...

Thames Town looks a lot like your average historic English village. There are lush green squares, classic brick homes, and even red telephone booths. But Thames Town is not nestled in the British countryside; it's located in the northeast corner of China in Songjiang, near Shanghai. And it didn't grow gradually over hundreds of years; it sprang up in 2006 as part of Shanghai's "One City, Nine Town" initiative, an attempt to decentralize the city. The city is a virtual ghost town, with empty shops and unused roads. It's a popular destination for wedding photos, according to Racked, which has...

The CROOKS (allegedly, just indictments so far) at the NYMEX are running a scam and they have NO INTENTION WHATSOEVER of accepting delivery of even 1/10th of the 367M barrels they had as open contracts last week. In fact, Wednesday (June 8) they traded their contracts 454,043 times - isn't that amazing? It's a 123% daily churn rate! Of course, it's easy to churn 454M barrels of crude because the only sucker that ends up paying for all those fees is YOU, the end consumer of crude. All those fees are passed on to you as part of the price...

It is not every day that the White House and Democratic National Committee celebrate a supposedly private company’s debt restructuring plan, but such is the marriage of big government and big business under the Obama administration. The New York Times reports: “Chrysler said Tuesday that it had paid back $7.6 billion in loans from the American and Canadian governments, marking another significant step in the revival of the company, the smallest of the Detroit automakers.” But as The Truth About Cars reports, the loan pay back is just another Obama con job: Back in November of 2009, when GM announced...

This is the first of three articles on the criminal complaint that scanner-expert Doug Vogt filed last week with the FBI. An international expert on scanners and document-imaging software filed a 22-page criminal complaint with the FBI, charging that the long-form birth certificate released by the White House is criminally fraudulent. "What the Obama administration released is a PDF image that they are trying to pass off as a Certificate of Live Birth Long Form printed on green security paper by the Hawaiian Health Department," Doug Vogt writes, "but this form is a created forgery." Vogt's criminal complaint asserts: "I...

After they were busted earlier this month the White House promised not stage any more photos. That lasted about two weeks. President Barack Obama talks on the phone with Missouri Governor Jay Nixon, during his visit to Dublin, Ireland, May 23, 2011. The President and Gov. Nixon discussed the deadly tornado that touched down in Joplin, Mo., Sunday night. (Credit: Official White House Photo by Pete Souza) The White House wanted to make sure you knew that Obama was on top of the disaster in Missouri. Michelle and Barack are going to a concert tonight in Dublin. They sure wouldn’t...

Climate change is now critical, says the Climate CommissionMalcolm Holland, Padraic Murphy From: Herald Sun May 23, 2011 12:00AM "THE atmosphere is warming, the ocean is warming, ice is being lost from glaciers and ice caps, and sea levels are rising." This is the dramatic conclusion of scientists who say climate change cannot be denied, and carbon offsetting is not enough to stop it. The findings are included in the first report by the Government's newly created Climate Commission. It warns people are to blame for rising temperatures, with the last decade the hottest on record. "The biological world is...

The New York Times is reporting “Obama to Open Offshore Areas to Oil Drilling for First Time”. Time to pop the corks on the champagne and celebrate. Right? Maybe not. At first blush this seems to be a major reversal for the administration and a win for domestic drilling advocates. If we can believe what the times is reporting: WASHINGTON — The Obama administration is proposing to open vast expanses of water along the Atlantic coastline, the eastern Gulf of Mexico and the north coast of Alaska to oil and natural gas drilling, much of it for the first time,...

A growing list of apparent anomalies in the Obama long-form birth certificate released by the White House continues to fuel suspicion that the document is a crude, computer-generated forgery. The Hawaii Department of Health and the White House have insisted that the document made public April 27 after nearly three years of public demand is genuine. Web document experts, however, have questioned the document's authenticity, and now a close inspection of the Hawaii Department of Health state registrar's stamp on the birth records reveals an apparent typographical error. The stamp, affixed April 25, 2011, says "TXE RECORD." Yet, on a...

It seems like people want credit for being heroes-- even when they are far from it. Now that Osama bin Laden has met his end at the hands of Navy SEALs, there are many that want to jump on the bandwagon. One case is a pastor from Pennsylvania, Jim Moats, who has been telling his congregation for five years that he was a Navy SEAL in Vietnam: Apparently at least part was based on Steven Seagal's 1992 film Under Seige: Among other things, Moats said he was subjected to waterboarding when he trained at Little Creek Amphibious Base in Virginia...

It's finally happened. After three years of Americans asking one simple question, he finally answered us. "Where's the birth certificate?" had been asked by millions of Americans. The request was for information that each member of the public is asked to produce every day for various purposes. Following a USA Today poll, showing that only 38% of the American people believe he was definitely born in the US, Obama felt he had no choice. Additionally, there was a book coming out by author, Jerome Corsi, titled, "Where's the Birth Certificate?" Less than a full day after the book had risen...

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The Baltimore Orioles’ left fielder Luke Scott is at it again. During the offseason, he was critical of President Barack Obama. The president’s long form birth certificate does not seem to have quieted Scott down, though. Scott, who was interviewed by Sam Mellinger of The Kansas City Star, remains skeptical about the president’s background. He thinks Obama’s birth certificate needs to be checked out to confirm that it is legitimate. “[Obama's] birth certificate has yet to be validated,” Scott said Tuesday.

On April 27, 2011, Barack Hussein Obama held a press conference following the release of what he claimed is a copy of his long-form birth certificate on file with the Hawaii Department of Health in Honolulu. The image does not appear to contain an embossed seal, just as that of the “Certification of Live Birth” released on the internet in June 2008 lacked that sign of authentication. The registration number of the short-form document had also been blacked out, which, according to the statement on the bottom of the form, “invalidated the certificate.” Obama himself claimed that the short-form certification...
