  • (Minnesota) Vikings Hold First Sports LGBTQ Summit

    06/21/2018 12:08:44 PM PDT · by MplsSteve · 43 replies
The Minnesota Vikings made history on Thursday. Vikings players, coaches and members of the LGBTQ community came together for a first of its kind inclusion summit held by an NFL team. The LGBTQ summit and fundraising event was held at the TCO Performance Center Auditorium in Eagan. It centered around bridging the gap between the LGBTQ community and sports. In front of a packed crowd, former and current LGBTQ athletes shared stories about how they were criticized for who they loved while playing the sport they love. The event featured four panel discussions. Each one about an hour long.

Editor’s note: This article accurately describes a “gay pride” event and contains language and images that may offend some readers. Thousands of gay rights activists and their supporters celebrated Saturday in Washington, D.C., by participating in and watching the city’s gay pride parade. The “Pride Month” parade consisted of over 200 floats in addition to marchers and vehicles, and covered 1.5 miles in promoting and celebrating lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals, among other gender identities. I checked out the event for The Daily Signal, observing the parade and talking with attendees. With a warning that some readers will find...

7-year-old trans child Milan Tyler won the Los Angeles Pride Parade with a fierce strut in heels on the streets of West Hollywood, California, on June 10. Thousands cheered on participants at this year’s parade for LGBT Pride Month in June, and Tyler received some of the biggest support. “I’m not deciding what my kid wants to wear and how to behave when it comes to the things he likes,” his mother Maggi said. Tyler was born Ryder but recently asked to be called Milan instead. His mother and sister London were asked to attend the parade by Brits...

This year alone, President Donald Trump has recognized January as National Mentoring Month, March as National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month and April as Second Chance Month. He has already declared the month of June to be National Homeownership Month, National Ocean Month, Great Outdoors Month and National Caribbean-American Heritage Month. But one proclamation is - once again - conspicuously absent from the White House website: LGBTQ Pride Month. LGBTQ Pride Month was first proclaimed by President Bill Clinton in June 1999. President George W. Bush declined to declare June as Pride Month, and it was not until the election of...

Western culture is in the midst of a full-bore campaign to promote the full acceptance – indeed, the “celebration” of non-marital sexual behavior, including homosexuality, bisexuality, and transgenderism. Hollywood is certainly playing its part in this indoctrination process. There has been a concerted effort by the film industry to present a positive portrayal of the LGBTQ lifestyle. According to industry analysis site BoxOfficeMojo.com, out of over 200 film genres and sub-genres, gay and Lesbian-themed films rank an astounding #6 in terms of sheer quantity. Since 2007, some 342 gay/lesbian movies have been produced – more than double the number of...

Chelsea Manning alarmed her friends Sunday night with a pair of since-deleted tweets in which she contemplated suicide. The U.S. Senate candidate — a former soldier and whistleblower — who is hoping to unseat a Maryland Democrat shared a jarring photo of what appeared to be her poised to jump from the ledge of an unidentified high-rise building. The figure in the photo was wearing pink pajamas and had painted toenails. It's unclear where the photo was taken.

LOS ANGELES - “Teen Wolf” actor Colton Haynes has filed for divorce from his husband of 6 months, Jeff Leatham. ET reported that, according to court records, Haynes, 29, filed in Los Angeles on May 8. People reported that Haynes cited irreconcilable differences, according to court documents. Speculation emerged that Haynes and Leatham, a 46-year-old artistic director at Four Seasons Hotel, were separating after Haynes deleted Instagram photos of himself and Leatham. He also removed “husband” from his profile bio and removed his hyphenated married name, Haynes-Leatham. Leatham still has his name as Haynes-Leatham on his Instragram bio. Haynes hasn’t...

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The news of Ben and Rene Ruiz's deaths come as a shock for the many people who described the couple as happy, loving and groundbreaking in the gay community. Houston police say the men, who were in the midst of a divorce, died in a murder-suicide inside a million-dollar home near the Galleria. Their bodies were discovered Thursday inside a bathroom at their home on Markham Street near Weslayan. "It's not truly set in yet," said Ben's longtime friend, Edward Sanchez. "I think deep down inside I'm waiting to hear from him." Sanchez said the couple...

Nothing says “I love you” like sending your betrothed photos of a naked stranger. Just ask Sen. Rosenberg, “because ‘a few times’ he accidentally opened a picture of a naked man from Hefner in a meeting and had to quickly hide his phone so other people would not see picture.” Say what you will about Whitey Bulger, but he never, ever texted X-rated shots to his brother, the Senate president. Then there was the time in 2014 — I guess you could say they were “engaged” then — when the betrothed went to another politician’s Christmas party. “At one point...

(Warning: Graphic content) It’s probably just a matter of unfortunate timing. Friday, April 27 is the annual homosexual “Day of Silence” in many schools. But in Cleveland, Ohio, it’s the same day a convention of bondage and sadomasochism practitioners will be underway. And the Cleveland Leather Awareness Weekend (CLAW) claims to be a “charity” that makes donations to GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, the sponsor of the “Day of Silence.” All in the name of “safety” for kids, I’m sure. CLAW “…holds that adult interest in leather, fetish and BDSM [bondage, dominance and sado-masochism] is natural and...

HORSHAM, Pa. (CBS) — A youth sports volunteer in Montgomery County is accused of sexting over social media with a young boy he met while refereeing a basketball game. Officials say 21-year-old Kevin Barron, of Horsham, reached out to a 12-year-old boy following a basketball game he refereed on Dec. 17 that the alleged victim was part of. The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office says Barron, who is an elementary education major at Campbell University in North Carolina and a student teacher, started having conversations with the boy about basketball and his performance, but then they started turning sexual in...

While conservatives squeak “uncle” about the “social issues” from the dark recesses of their homes and churches where they hide, the jackbooted Left marches boldly forward obsessed with making the “social issues” the central plank of everything. They’re especially obsessed with transforming the hearts and minds of other people’s children using taxpayer-funded government schools in which they have an audience of cultural captives. The newest brazen effort to exploit public money in the service of propagandizing Illinois children is a creation of Equality Illinois and the Illinois Safe Schools Alliance, two of Illinois’ dubious “LBGTQQAP” activist organizations, and their most...

President Donald Trump fired the remaining members of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (PACHA) Wednesday, reportedly informing them without explanation with a letter delivered by FedEx. The mass dismissal of the advisers marked another nadir in the administration’s dealing with the council. In June, six members resigned from PACHA writing in an open letter, published in Newsweek, saying the Trump White House was pushing for legislation that would harm people living with HIV. Scott A. Schoettes, a Chicago-based HIV/AIDS activist and one of the members of the advisory panel who resigned over the summer, tweeted yesterday that the remaining...

Christians should pray for Prince George to be gay to force support for same-sex marriage in the Church of England, a senior Scottish Episcopal church minister and LGBTQ campaigner has said. The Very Rev Kelvin Holdsworth, provost of St Mary’s Cathedral in Glasgow, made the comments in a blog he reposted about LGBTQ inclusion in the Church of England following the announcement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement. In the post, he writes that Christians should pray “for the Lord to bless Prince George with a love, when he grows up, of a fine young gentleman”.

Liberalism isn’t always about tightening restrictions, because some restrictions are good. For example, even as California introduces prison sentences for those who insist on referring to transsexuals with biologically correct pronouns, we read this: Gov. Jerry Brown signed a bill Friday that lowers from a felony to a misdemeanor the crime of knowingly exposing a sexual partner to HIV without disclosing the infection. By “knowingly,” they mean deliberately. To be prosecuted for a felony under the old law required intent to transmit HIV, which leads to the horrific disease AIDS. It gets worse: The measure also applies to those who...
