Nineteen-term congressman Rep. Pete Stark has taken a lot of heat lately — some of it dished by The Chronicle here and here and here — for his unfounded accusations and Congressional record. His Democratic opponent in June’s primary, Alameda County prosecutor Eric Swalwell, went so far as to tell us “I don’t think he’s fit to be in office.” Rep. Mike Honda, D-San Jose, disagrees.
