The Puget Sound Free Republic Chapter has been in existence since June 1998, but it hasn’t been a smooth ride. While starting a chapter is not all that difficult, keeping one alive is a genuine challenge. People come and people go from this site, and maintaining an active chapter is more than enough work for one individual. This is the story of one chapter. During the weekend of March 22-23, the Free Republic Network sponsored or assisted with 105 individual Rally for America events across America. Using the most conservative media estimates, at least 120,000 people attended Rally events. There were no reported arrests. All the national media outlets provided at least some coverage, with much more detailed reporting locally, and the wire services ran dozens of Rally photos. We are receiving persistent reports that leftist activists plan to infiltrate Rally for America events and act in ways intended to discredit them. Outside disruptors may also provoke confrontations in hopes of irritating someone enough to take a swing at them. Don't bite!
