The right-wing cartoonist Ben Garrison says he has a "rough" case of COVID-19 and is treating it with ivermectin and beet juice, according to Gizmodo. Garrison, known for his cartoons strongly supportive of Donald Trump, told the outlet in an email Sunday that he and his wife had been sick for about two weeks with the coronavirus, which they believe they picked up in a restaurant. The Pentagon official tasked with leading efforts to crack down on extremist views among military service members once asserted that backers of former President Donald Trump were also supporters of racism, misogyny and extremism. The official, Bishop Garrison, is a senior adviser to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and head of the Pentagon’s Countering Extremism Working Group. Garrison expressed his view in a series of tweets on July 27, 2019. "Silence from our Congressional leaders is complicity," Garrison tweeted. "He is only going to get worse from here, & his party and its leadership are watching it happen while doing nothing...

Historians today speak of the “proslavery Constitution” and “antislavery constitutionalism”; they almost never speak of the “antislavery Constitution” or of “proslavery constitutionalism.” This fact is a testament to the profound success of the critique of the Constitution leveled by abolitionist William Lloyd Garrison. In his condemnation of the Constitution as proslavery, his resort to Madison’s “Notes from the Constitutional Convention” to demonstrate this case, and his rejection of the Constitution’s authority—all punctuated by his dramatic burning of that document during a Fourth of July address—Garrison has set the terms within which subsequent historical debate on the relationship between the Constitution...

A cartoonist who depicted U.S. government figures as puppets of George Soros and the Rothschilds was invited to the White House by U.S. President Donald Trump. Ben Garrison posted his invitation from the president on his Twitter account on Saturday. Garrison, who draws right-wing, self-proclaimed “politically incorrect” comics under the title “GrrrGraphics” uploaded the illustration in question in 2017, as a potshot at then-National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster and former CIA director Gen. David Petraeus. It shows Jewish billionaire George Soros pulling their strings. Above Soros, a green hand labeled “Rotshchilds” (sic) manipulates him. The Anti-Defamation League blasted the “blatantly...

FORT HUACHUCA — Come July, Col. Jonathan Hunter doesn’t know if he will have even half the money he needs to run the garrison for the last three months of the current federal fiscal year. The garrison commander does know about $16 million is needed for July, August and September. “We’ll be lucky if we get half,” he said. The situation is so dire that temporary and term civil service employees in the garrison are being cut, civil service people are being offered voluntary early retirement, and vacant positions are not being filled. Term and temporary employees have no guarantee...

At an immigration hearing on Friday, Garrison (Storm) Bowman, 66, of Myodan, N.C., was also ordered held in custody in the Correctional Centre in Yellowknife until his deportation. U.S. authorities say they want to question Bowman about the shootings of a Virginia couple and their nine-year-old daughter in August. Earlier this year, James R. Otteson, a philosophy professor at the University of Alabama, was threatened with arrest at the airport in Traverse City, MI. His 'offense' was to expresss the opinion that he and his family - three young children - were subjected to an abuse of their rights by being subjected by being selected by a random search. After doffing his sport coat and belt, and turning over his wallet, Otteson "made his usual protest about protections from unreasonable searches and seizures," he wrote in the July issue of Ideas on Liberty.
