Country music star Garth Brooks and his wife, singer Trisha Yearwood, took to social media on Wednesday to urge their fans to donate money to Ukraine, presumably funds in addition to the over $110 billion American taxpayers have sent to Kyiv’s war effort. “We stand with Ukraine, especially the refugees,” Brooks said at the beginning of the video, before his wife added, “There’s a global initiative, and of course, supplies and aid is already spread thin, and this is where you come in. We need your help. We need you to donate.”

Country music star John Rich just became Garth Brooks and his wife Trisha Yearwood’s worst nightmare after delivering a brutal roast that leaves the couple absolutely trashed after the two posted a video supporting Ukraine. Many who saw the video from the two country superstars thought it was, well, a little bit creepy. And, to be honest, it absolutely is. Also, the fact that billions and billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars are being sent over to Ukraine while our economic woes continue to fester and negatively impact every American family, especially the middle class, makes these out-of-touch, rich celebrities posting...

Country music superstar Garth Brooks caved after receiving a massive backlash for calling people who boycotted Bud Light over the Dylan Mulvaney marketing stunt a**holes. Garth said earlier: “I want it to be a place you feel safe in, I want it to be a place where you feel like there are manners and people like one another. And yes, we’re going to serve every brand of beer. We just are. “It’s not our decision to make. Our thing is this: If you are let into this house, love one another. If you’re an a–hole, there are plenty of other...

Garth may have thought he was staying out of the Bud Light controversy. But it looks like he just threw himself in the middle of it. Of course by now everybody’s familiar with the controversy and backlash surrounding Bud Light’s decision to partner with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney a few months ago. The company has since faced boycotts that have caused billions of dollars in losses, and even threaten the beer’s place at the top of the year-end list of best selling beers. And Garth Brooks, who has a new bar coming to Nashville soon, weighed in this week on...

Regardless of how you feel about them, it’s undeniable that Waylon Jennings and Garth Brooks are two of the most influential names in the history of country music. Obviously, they were from different eras of country music, and from the time of his meteoric rise in the ’90s Garth was almost immediately hit with criticism of being too “pop” for country. Including (allegedly) from Waylon Jennings. Though he never really confirmed it in public, Waylon was reportedly not the biggest fan of Garth and his brand of country music. And there have been plenty of alleged quotes attributed to Waylon...

As multiple country music artists spurn Bud Light over its embrace of transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney, music legend Garth Brooks will go his own way. Brooks is in the midst of building a bar called Friends in Low Places, which is located along Broadway in Nashville, according to WhiskeyRiff. With artists boycotting the beverage — such John Rich banning the beer from his bar and Kid Rock taking a rifle to a pile of Bud Light cans — there was precedent for Brooks to join the pack. Nope.

He wouldn't divulge which songs he was considering playing but added that he won't be playing "We Shall Be Free" as he played it during President Obama's 2008 inauguration. Dennis Quaid is taking heat for joining a $300 million federal public service campaign that reportedly will put a positive spin on the Trump administration’s handling of the COVID-19 emergency. Surgeon General Jerome Adams has paired with gospel singer CeCe Winans. The Health and Human Services team...

Country music legend Garth Brooks posted a picture of himself in a "Sanders" jersey after his packed show Saturday night in Detroit, which created a bit of misguided outrage and confusion online. Brooks wore the No. 20 jersey of former Detroit Lions running back Barry Sanders – a football legend in the city and NFL Hall of Famer – which caused some of his Instagram followers to mistakenly attack him for being a Bernie Sanders supporter.

Country music is the most American of musical idioms, alongside jazz. With a longer history than rock and roll or hip-hop, country has produced a powerful pantheon of memorable artists, albums, and songs. Growing up, I pretended not to like country music, even though it was the music I heard my dad listen to the most (while my mom turned me on to the incredible pop and rock of the ‘60s and ‘70s). Nowadays, I’ve shaken that youthful pretension and will admit to enjoying most types of country’s many subgenres. I also have to admit that compiling a list...

The most beautiful music I have ever heard from a capella group: Home Free. Singers do a rendition of God Bless the USA that would be AWESOME for the inaugural. I wish someone on here had connections to the Trump transition team. A friend sent the link to me, which I don't know how to post. Please check out Home Free and forward to someone with some connections.

Country star Garth Brooks was scheduled to appear on several shows this week, including Thanksgiving edition of “The Tonight Show.” But his conscience won’t let him do it anymore. Because of … Ferguson? More from The Hollywood Reporter: “We landed in NY last night to the news of the civil unrest that was going on in our nation. To spend the day promoting our stuff like nothing was wrong, seemed distasteful to me,” Brooks wrote in a statement posted on his Facebook page. “I will gladly reschedule any or all appearances the networks will allow. Love one another, g” Brooks...
