Peter Arnett isn't the only U.S. reporter busted in Iraq: The U.S. military is expelling Fox News Channel's unfortunate hire Geraldo Rivera from the country, CNN reported today. CNN quotes U.S. military officials as saying Geraldo violated "the cardinal rule of war reporting Monday by giving away crucial details of future military operations during a live broadcast." It gave no further information.

Fox News Channel's Geraldo Rivera has been expelled from his embedded position, for giving away secrets on the air, CNN reported this morning.

This is the third night I've seen Geraldo giving the location of his company and mentioning the new supply route to the west.Three nights ago he gave his location by miles. So many miles north of Q8 and so many miles south of Baghdad and so many miles west of ?....Now he's drawing their war plan in the sand.I'll put Geraldo in the Peter Arnett category (is anybody really surprised at his treason?). I went to the FOX website but can't find the e-mail address...I'm pissed.

    Given his gung-ho approach to covering the war in Afghanistan, it came as little shock to learn that Geraldo Rivera narrowly escaped getting shot while taping a report outside Jalalabad on Dec. 6.    The surprising part came when he identified the gunman as an al-Qaeda sniper.
