I remember my family going to an Up With People concert when I was very young. This particular video UWP performance was from 1965. It'd be nice if Donald Trump could work something like this into his rallies starting next month. The songs are patriotic, spirit-filled and very inspiring! It'd even be way too cool to get together some of the original cast members too! Bob Dylan rewrote the record books yesterday to become the oldest musician to have a No 1 album, nearly 40 years after he last topped the charts. The veteran singer-songwriter claimed his seventh British No 1 with Together Through Life, narrowly edging out the claim of his fellow sexagenarian Neil Diamond to be the oldest artist to scale to the summit of the chart. Palm Beach County, Fla., created the controversial "butterfly ballot" in the 2000 presidential election that reportedly confused more than 1,000 Gore-Lieberman voters such that they wound up marking their ballots for a minor-party candidate. In February 2006, local education officials told the Palm Beach Post that too many of the county's high school students apparently knew answers on the statewide comprehensive test but were incorrectly marking the answer sheets. The multiple choice questions require only one circle to be darkened on the sheet, but other questions require darkening digits of an actual numerical answer, apparently bewildering students into darkening too...

The purpose of FreeRepublic.com's multiple message boards is to limit the topics for each board to particular topics. Arnold Schwarzenegger has proposed trimming retirement benefits for future state employees. But as a recent independent analysis points out, the governor's plan has problems. A more modern approach would be better for the employees while saving taxpayers even more in the long run.</p>
