WASHINGTON, Nov. 27, 2005 – A U.S. Marine engaged in combat operations against enemy forces near Camp Taqaddum, Iraq, was killed in an improvised explosive device attack Nov. 26, officials in Iraq announced today. The name of the Marine, who was assigned to the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), is being withheld until the family is notified.
