Gov. Chris Christie has signed a law requiring law enforcement agencies to tell the state information about guns that are seized or found abandoned. Christie said in a statement Friday that the law will help keep weapons away from criminals. His approval comes after the Legislature reworked parts of the bill following Christie’s previous conditional veto of it. The governor said that provisions calling for public reports to be produced about some of the information would have violated federal law.

The net household property tax burden in New Jersey rose 13 percent during Gov. Chris Christie's first three years in office — a number that reflects both his success in reining in local government spending and his inability to restore a relief program that was gutted by his predecessor during the Great Recession, an Associated Press analysis of tax data has found. The growth is only slightly lower than it was in the last three years of Democrat Jon Corzine's time as governor, when the net tax bill went up 15 percent. But it reflects a different approach: Christie, a...

While many conservatives still may be wondering what went wrong with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, for most of us, the handwriting has been on the wall for some time. He is a liberal masquerading as a conservative. Christie rose to Republican super-stardom after handily defeating Democrat incumbent Governor Jon Corzine, breaking a streak of Democratic victories in a state where John McCain lost to Barack Obama by more than 15 percent. Christie seemed poised to become the GOP’s electoral savior, emerging from the northeast political wasteland to lead Republicans to the Promised Land. It started as a love fest....

New Jersey Governor Says He Has Residents Covered Through Fiscal Year 2011 Despite $800 Million Hole RUTHERFORD, N.J. (CBS) ― New Jersey tax revenues have plummeted again, this time by nearly $800 million. But in a first for his fledgling administration Gov. Chris Christie is not calling for more painful cuts. On the surface the news looked pretty grim for Garden State residents on Tuesday – thanks to an unanticipated drop in tax revenues of $402 million this year and $365 million next year. But a new budget hole of nearly $800 million is not going to give Gov. Christie...

www.LibertyJuice.com It was only a few months ago that hardly anyone outside of New Jersey knew who Chris Christie was. In fact, if you were like me, you knew he existed but only in a partially negative way. I remember during the New Jersey primaries his name was being bandied about but it was mostly because Conservatives were mad that a “pseudo-Conservative” beat out the “solid-Conservative” in the primaries. However, Christie DID win that primary and after convincing GOP leaders to support him, he went on to defeat the horribly corrupt Governor Corzine in a stunning political upset. A Republican...

TRENTON-- Gov. Chris Christie sparked a political firestorm Monday with his unprecedented decision to jettison a sitting New Jersey Supreme Court justice, inciting harsh criticism from political opponents and reshaping the relationship between the governor’s office and the state’s highest court.
