Germany’s addiction to Russian gas has come to backfire on the European state, with one minister saying that the country is now suffering ‘in the most brutal way’ thanks to the policymaking of previous administrations. Annalena Baerbock, a senior member of Germany’s Green party who is now serving as the country’s Federal Foreign Minister, has said that her nation is now suffering “in the most brutal way” as a result of its addiction to Russian gas. Baerbock’s comments come as German authorities prepare for Russia to cease its supply of gas to the country, after the G7 nation outright refused...

Brian Murray knows just how fierce an opponent Arizona's Sen. Kyrsten Sinema can be. The Republican strategist saw his candidate lose to Democrat Sinema in their 2012 race for the House. Calling the experience "unpleasant," Murray admits his candidate, Vernon Parker, was flawed, but "flawed candidates win all of the time. Kyrsten, however, was an absolute machine." Sinema, along with fellow centrist Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia, has recently become the epicenter of American politics largely because she insists on siding with the interests of her constituents instead of the demands of her party. Over the past few...

As the situation of the migrants on hunger strike in Brussels worsens, French-speaking socialist party PS and green party Ecolo have threatened to quit the federal government if any one of the activists dies, which would result in the current government falling. Both parties have informed Prime Minister Alexander De Croo that the ministers and secretaries of state will resign, which would see the government De Croo I losing its majority as part of the Vivaldi coalition. During the core cabinet meeting on Monday morning, federal Economy and Labour minister Pierre-Yves Dermagne warned that the PS ministers and secretaries of...

BERLIN (AP) – Two German state election defeats have put the spotlight on chances of a government without Chancellor Angela Merkel’s bloc after September’s national vote. A possible contender to succeed her said Monday that the center-right needs to raise its game to keep the country’s top job. Final results showed that Merkel´s Christian Democratic Union was handily defeated in Sunday´s elections by two popular incumbent state governors: the Green party´s Winfried Kretschmann in Baden-Wuerttemberg and the center-left Social Democrats´ Malu Dreyer in Rhineland-Palatinate.

There were three critical swing states in which the Green Party appeared on the ballot in 2016 and didn’t appear in 2020. The states of Arizona, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania all removed the Green Party from the presidential election in 2020, with Democratic operatives using underhanded tactics to kick them off. Labor activist Howie Hawkins was the Green Party’s 2020 presidential nominee. In 2016, the Green Party nominee Jill Stein won more than 34,000 votes in Arizona. If a Green Party candidate had appeared with ballot access in the state in 2020, he or she would’ve been sure to win enough...

Former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev said that he knows who planned the attack on the U.S. Capitol, and that the incident bodes ill for America's future. "The storming of the Capitol was clearly designed in advance, and it is clear by whom," Gorbachev last week told an interviewer for Russian media. And, while he didn't identify the plotters, the renowned statesman said that he senses machinations at work. "It will take a little time, and we will figure it out, why it was really done," Gorbachev said....

Clinton campaign lawyer Marc E. Elias gave the scheme away in an article published Saturday morning at Medium announcing Clinton would join the recount effort in Wisconsin by Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein and that Clinton would join Stein should she also file for recounts in Michigan and Pennsylvania. Elias wrote that starting the day after the election the Clinton campaign worked to find ways to reverse TrumpÂ’s election. EliasÂ’ statement: Â…we have quietly taken a number of steps in the last two weeks to rule in or out any possibility of outside interference in the vote tally in...

Election Challenge likely on Jan 6th If you haven't been following John Kerry closely, get ready to hear of surprising developments. The vote-defrauded, potential president-in-waiting has just indicated through his lawyer that the validity of George Bush's reelection is no longer a given. On 23 December, 2004 Kerry's lawyer confirmed to MSNBC's 'Countdown' that John Kerry will be seeking (likely on Monday 27 Dec.) to expedite court proceedings in an ongoing recount suit by the Green and Libertarian parties. That might sound like just another "count every vote" exercise by the Kerry campaign, were it not for two important details....

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled Thursday that the presidential and vice presidential candidates for the Green Party cannot appear on the state’s ballots this cycle, handing Democrats a win as they try to consolidate support in the key swing state. The court ruled in a 5-2 decision that the Green Party did not follow proper procedure for getting on the ballot, overturning a Republican judge’s decision in a lower court ruling. The Green Party earlier this year swapped out Elizabeth Faye Scroggin for Howie Hawkins as its presidential candidate. But the high court ruled that it failed to properly get...

State Democrats succeeded in kicking the Green Party off the ballot in Montana this week, with the Montana Supreme Court ruling that they must be dropped. The decision could impact the tight U.S. Senate race between Republican Sen. Steve Daines and sitting Democratic Gov. Steve Bullock – one of several that could determine control of the U.S. Senate. The ruling happened after massive pressure was put on people who had already given valid signatures for a petition for Green Party ballot access, according to Green Party representatives.

In a rider passed in the last state budget, the legislature upped the ante for minor parties in New York. So, two of those minor parties, the Greens and the Libertarians, are suing. In the past, to achieve ballot status, minor parties needed to earn 50,000 votes for their gubernatorial candidates. In other words, they needed 50,000 votes to qualify for the ballot every four years – rules that have been in place for decades. The new rules are far more restrictive. They require that minor parties garner 130,000 votes or two percent of votes cast. Additionally, they demand that...

I laughed when I saw The Washington Post headline: "Minneapolis had progressive policies, but its economy still left black families behind." The media are so clueless. Instead of "but," the headline should have said, "therefore," or "so, obviously." Of course, progressive policies failed! They almost always do. "If you wanted a poster child for the progressive movement, it would be Minneapolis," says Republican Minnesota Senate candidate Jason Lewis in my new video. "This is the same city council that voted to abolish the police department." The council, which has no Republicans, spends taxpayer money on most every progressive idea. They...

The Green Party’s Joe O’Brien has accused some fellow TDs of using racism to get elected to the Dáil. Mr. O’Brien said that “some people have used racism to get into this house” and that racism in all forms “needs to be called out”. Speaking during a Dáil debate on racism, he said that “only a couple of weeks ago, a member of this house used it in a parliamentary question to get attention”. He added: “When push comes to shove, there are people in this house who have opposed accommodation for Travelers when it comes to their area.” Labour’s...

It’s deeply disappointing and downright dangerous that some members of York County political and business leadership, including some paid by the very taxpayers that they should be protecting, are essentially encouraging York County business owners to defy the governor’s orders and open. This irresponsible defiance by some of our leaders puts business owners, their clients, their customers and the entire York community at risk of further spread of COVID-19, a deadly virus that has already killed 13 of our neighbors and sickened more than 700 York countians in recent months. This is a time when leaders must have the courage...
