Over the past few years, Testa realized that the famed flamingos were not producing eggs. "Five years I've been waiting for them to do something. I've been watching them," said Testa. Testa decided to take the matter into his own hands, and he became the "flamingo doctor." He decided to place fake eggs around the Flamingos at the park. "When you don't see an egg you say, OK, I'll put a fake egg out there, and maybe somebody will look over and go, 'Oh, OK, we've got to lay eggs,'" said Testa.

The packed house cheered at the 1:05 start time, followed by another boisterous shout when, once the fourth race had ended, the track's signature pink flamingos flew overhead en masse.

Belkis Gonzalez, an unlicensed abortion worker, was on duty when a 19-year old woman arrived at the abortion clinic to complete an abortion started by Pierre Renelique the previous day. When Renelique failed to show up to finish the abortion, the woman gave birth to a little girl, Shanice Osbourne, who was moving and breathing at the time of the delivery. Gonzalez then cut her umbilical cord, shoved her in a biohazard bag with caustic chemicals, and tossed her up on the abortion clinic roof to hide her body from the authorities. Three years later, after substantial public pressure from...

Yet no one at either shuttered facility was licensed to perform medical services, according to police affidavits. Last year, a fetus was discovered inside a red biohazard bag at the Hialeah clinic, prompting the state to close it. The Miramar clinic had been shut down in 2005. SECOND CASE? (SNIP) The Hialeah gang (Miami) is believed to be the single most important theft grouping active in cargo crime across the United States. (SNIP) ..grouped by geography: • Miami/South Florida: Widely considered the most prolific in highvalue cargo theft, the gangs in this region can be divided into two groups: those that operate strictly within Florida and Georgia and those that operate beyond the regional boundaries. Could we hear the call of Play Ball on site of Hialeah Race Track or could the Florida Marlins be looking at the hills of North Carolina as their new home? Representatives of the team apparently will visit the city of Charlotte, and officials in Hialeah, as they consider moving the team from Miami. A Marlins spokesman said Thursday that it'll be the first meeting between the team and Hialeah, the state's fifth most-populous city and one located just a few miles northwest of downtown Miami. "I'm not looking at it as a long shot. I want to do everything...

For all of his braggadocio, television star of Democratic election advertisement fame, Hialeah, Florida Mayor Raul Martinez may not be able to deliver the votes of his own city to presidential hopeful John Kerry. With rhetoric that's "getting more vulgar" every day, the Cuban-born mayor seems to be turning the tide against his main man Kerry. "Martinez says we Cuban-American Republicans are walking with blinders on and he has even called us horses," says Hialeah resident Ana V. Amador. "But with our 44,080 versus 17,000 representation, we Republicans are the majority." . . . . . For the entire Canada...
