Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested at UCLA Monday after allegedly going after his son’s football coach with a kettlebell. The music mogul, whose son Justin Combs is a defensive back on the UCLA football team, was taken into custody by UCLA police. The university confirmed the incident Monday saying, “Shortly after 12:30 p.m. today, Sean Combs (also known as P. Diddy) was arrested at UCLA’s Acosta Athletic Training Complex on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, which was a kettlebell. No one was seriously injured and UCPD is investigating.”
  • How does Jeb Bush stack up against other pols who slow-jam the news?

After former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush formally announced he is running for president on Monday, he stopped by “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” Tuesday night to slow-jam the news of his campaign kickoff. Fallon and The Roots filled the segment with sexually suggestive double entendres, calling the younger Bush sibling a “caucus tease” and a “master debater” with “lots of experience down south.” Bush isn’t the first politician to play in Fallon’s signature segment — President Barack Obama, former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie have tried their hand at the slow jam. Let’s...

Jeb Bush became the latest politician to “slow jam the news” with Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday’s episode of “The Tonight Show,” joining a list that includes President Barack Obama, Mitt Romney and Chris Christie. And it was just a little … awkward. “Aww, yeah… The governor thought long and hard about joining the GOP race. After months of being a total caucus tease, Jeb finally made up his mind and quit beating around the bush,” Fallon intoned, beginning a slow-jam rife with sexual innuendo. “Now that you’re fully in, what makes you think you got what it takes to go...

Face it, George Clooney sucks By Kyle Smith It’s time for Hollywood to face facts: George Clooney is not a star. If you matched them up head-to-head, Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson would crush him — and I don’t just mean literally. Clooney’s latest is the gargantuan flop “Tomorrowland” — a $190 million bomb (not including $100 million or so in worldwide marketing costs) that looks like it’s going to gross a little more than half of that at the North American box office. It’s delicately being referred to as an underperformer because no one in Hollywood wants to hurt the...
  • ‘Tomorrowland’ tops box office with $32.2 million during slow Memorial Day Weekend (Clooney/Disney)

There weren't as many fireworks at the Memorial Day weekend box office this year as newcomer "Tomorrowland" disappointed with a $32.2 million debut. The science-fiction adventure stars George Clooney and was directed by Brad Bird of "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" renown. The Disney release is expected to pull in a lackluster $40.7 million for the four-day period. -snip- "Tomorrowland" had been expected to generate $40 million over the three-day period and $50 million over the four-day stretch. With a $180 million price tag, Disney faces an uphill climb to profitability. Not helping matters, overseas figures were an underwhelming $26.7...

CBS wasted no time in kicking David Letterman to the curb. Just hours after Letterman said farewell after 33 years on late-night TV, Ed Sullivan Theater crews hauled off blocks of blue stage and hacked up pieces of the iconic New York City bridges that made up the set of the “Late Show.” Fans and passers-by gathered around a police barricade cordoning off the Ed Sullivan to watch workers unceremoniously chuck red theater chairs into an overflowing Dumpster and take reciprocating saws to his miniature Brooklyn Bridge.
  • Philanthropist Courtney Stodden To Donate Proceeds From Stolen Sex Tape To Charity

Courtney Stodden is doing her part to give back to the community — by donating the cash she was offered for her 'stolen' sex tape to charity. For those of you who are unaware of the sex tape saga (what, too busy following the world news or something?), the 20-year-old admitted she filmed a “solo sex tape” and was then offered a million bucks from Vivid Entertainment for the distribution rights. Initially, she refused, saying that it was personal footage for her — and, presumably, husband Doug Hutchison’s — eyes only. She has since clarified her story, explaining to that...

Is it me or is this dude creepy looking? I just saw that liquor commercial (can't remember the details of the comm) and they show him at the end of the ad where he laughs and his face doesn't move. I remember him in a movie (the title escapes me right now)with Kurt Russell in which he was a psycho cop preying on Russell's wife and he was creepy then. Is this guy on some kind of facial drug?

Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender characters may be showing up on television with increasing regularity, but they are still a relative rarity in mainstream movies released by the major Hollywood studios. In its third annual report about LGBT representation on film, GLAAD, the gay advocacy group, found that of the 114 releases from the major studios in 2014, only 20 of them, or 17.5 percent, included characters identified as lesbian, gay or bisexual. [Snip] Among the inclusive films, the report found, 65 percent of them featured gay male characters, less than a third featured bisexuals and about one tenth included...
  • Barbra Streisand Thinks Obama Economy Is Great. What She’s Missing.

Poor Barbra Streisand. Just last month the renowned economist (who also describes herself as a “singer,” “actress,” and “activist”) penned an opinion piece titled “Have You Heard the Good News?” about how well the economy is performing under Barack Obama. It was a pep rally of sorts, and all that was missing were the pom-poms. “President Obama’s administration, with only opposition from the Republicans,” she gushed, “has steadily helped put more than 11 million Americans back to work in the private sector.”

Barbra Streisand may not be the brightest star in Hollywood. In fact, sometimes you look into her eyes and get the feeling someone else is driving. The starlet, who once compared President Obama to “kings” and “gods,” penned a March 30 commentary in the Huffington Post singing the praises of the president for “creating” so many jobs in the last five-and-a-half years. The piece, titled, “Have you heard the good news?,” promptly heaps praise on Obama: “In the wake of the financial crisis, President Obama took the helm of a sinking economic ship and help to right it. The unemployment...
  • Neil DeGrasse Tyson: Christians have no right to call Scientologists crazy

Astrophysicist and cosmologist Neil DeGrasse Tyson is defending Scientology in light of HBO's highly critical documentary on the church. HBO's documentary "Going Clear" did not show the church in an entirely positive light — Scientology has a built a reputation for tormenting members who leave it either by surveillance or harassment. The film highlights the celebrities who made the religion intriguing to the world as well as the horrific stories of abuse from former members. But Tyson, in an interview with The Daily Beast, declined to bash the controversial church, saying people are free to believe whatever they want. "So,...

It has been called “The History-Making Gay Kiss,” as “The Fosters” TV show, which airs during prime time on the ABC Family network, featured the “Youngest Same-Sex TV Kiss Ever.” Yes, on a so-called “family friendly” network, two 13-year-old boys locked lips, and gay activists and their allies are celebrating the moment. GLAAD, formally known as the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, stated that, “ABC Family's 'The Fosters' breaks new ground with Jude and Connor kiss.” (For those who are not familiar with the show, Jude is raised by two lesbians, his adoptive parents.) The electricity fairly crackles. Millions of supposedly self-respecting women are poised to breeze into movie theaters this weekend to immerse themselves in the filth that is “50 Shades of Grey.” If there is anything more depressing than that, it is the playful clucking of media anticipation, taking the tone that this is just a fun fantasy ride, just a flight of fancy, two hours of escape. It is more than that. It is evidence of a damaged society, a nation that thinks it is just swell to celebrate the story of a predatory billionaire punk who victimizes a tragically vulnerable...

America, where is the outrage over the Ferguson “hands up don't shoot” lie being furthered in the minds of millions of black and white youths at the 2015 Grammys? Micheal Brown did not have his hands up in surrender. Brown was a thug who attacked officer Darren Wilson. And yet, prominent influential black celebs (Pharrell, Beyonce and Prince to name a few) continue to irresponsibly promote the lie that white cops murder young black men. Has everyone forgotten that police officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu were assassinated because of this lie?

FNC’S CHRIS WALLACE: NETANYAHU “WICKED”, “MALICIOUS” FOR “SNEAKING UP” ON OBAMA’S BACK By Aaron Goldstein on 1.25.15 In an appearance with Shepherd Smith on Friday, his FNC colleague Chris Wallace blasted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his impending speech to Congress in early March: To give you an idea of how malicious this is, I’ll tell you that US Secretary of State John Kerry met with the Israeli Ambassador to the United States for two hours on Wednesday and Ron Dermer did not announce the fact that Netanyahu was coming to Washington, DC. This is not in order to...

In case you’re not up-to-date on the latest Thing To Be Outraged About, here’s a quick recap: Seth Rogen and Michael Moore tweeted some things in relation to the movie American Sniper that people didn’t like. In Moore’s case, it was an observation about how cowardly snipers can be. In Rogen’s case, it was about how the film reminded him of the Nazi propaganda film in Inglourious Basterds. There was some outrage about it, and Rogen clarified on Twitter Monday that he wasn’t comparing the film about Chris Kyle to Nazi propaganda; the former just reminded him of the Basterds...

“PARA USA regrets its decision to provide firearms for use in the film "Taken 3". While the film itself is entertaining, comments made by its Irish-born star during press junkets reflect a cultural and factual ignorance that undermines support of the Second Amendment and American liberties,” the company posted on its Facebook page. “We will no longer provide firearms for use in films starring Liam Neeson

Kevin Hart says he won’t play a gay character. The topic came up on Friday when the hosts of radio show, The Breakfast Club, asked the 35-year-old if he had any roles that he regretted missing. “The one role I regret—Tropic Thunder,” the Wedding Ringer star responded before admitting he had turned down the part because it was “real flagrant”. According to Kevin, he could have played the role of rapper-turned-actor Alpa Chino in the 2008 comedy, but he passed because the character, on script, was “real flagrant.” “I was like, ‘I can’t. I can’t do this,’” Kevin said of...

When the Golden Globe awards telecast was over, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation proclaimed, "It was a great night for LGBT-inclusive television." They could have added: "We run the joint." Gay actor Matt Bomer thanked his "husband" and his surrogate sons when he won an award for HBO's Reagan-bashing AIDS drama "The Normal Heart." But the bigger celebration came with a best actor award to Jeffrey Tambor, who plays Mort, a 70-year-old father of three who decides he's a woman named Maura in a show called "Transparent," or literally, "Trans Parent," since his three adult children have to...
