I have been asked recently “what is homosexualism?” I started using the term in my writing on these issues a few years ago when it became clear that we were dealing not with a group of people, but with a particular ideology that is often held by people who are not themselves homosexuals. A few days ago in The Guardian, Peter Tatchell wrote a pretty good description not only of that ideology’s goals but its origins. This political ideology, often called “queer theory” by its proponents in academia, is what is being pushed, quite openly these days, by the “gay...

A group of black pastors in Virginia held a meeting to discuss how to encourage their congregations to vote for President Barack Obama. Around two dozen clergy from various churches in the area met for two hours on Saturday in Chesapeake, discussing possible ideas for motivating support for Obama among their congregations. "We are concerned that many of our congregants are developing an aversion to supporting the president at the polls," read the invite email, which was sent out last month. The major concern among the clergy was that Obama's support for same-sex marriage would prompt many African Americans to...

Are you having difficulty finding a doctor who will see you? If you are, brace yourself. Things are about to get a whole lot worse. Right now, the biggest problems are in Massachusetts. If you live in Boston and are trying to see a new family doctor, get prepared to wait more than two months before you ever get a foot in the door. For the state as a whole, the average wait to see a new family doctor is one month. More than half of all family doctors and more than half of all internists are not accepting new...

The justices unanimously ruled that the official proponents of Prop 8 have the right to defend the state constitutional amendment in federal court -- an important decision because the governor and attorney general have refused to defend it. An employee with the New York Archdiocese warned of an “impending persecution” after New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo called same-sex “marriage” opponents discriminatory and “anti-American” last week.
  • Gay and lesbian service members sue government (never saw that one coming /sarc)

A group of married gay current and former military personnel sued the federal government on Thursday, seeking equal recognition, benefits and the same support as married heterosexual couples who serve in the military. The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Boston says the government's Defense of Marriage Act violates their constitutional rights and asks the military to recognize their legal marriages. "This case is about one thing, plain and simple," said Aubrey Sarvis, executive director of the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network, which filed the suit. "It's about justice for gay and lesbian service members and their families in our...

A block thrown through a home window. Cars vandalized. Hate-filled anonymous phone calls at home and work. Swastikas scrawled on houses of worship. Physical assaults. Dismissal from employment because of political views. Are these examples of retaliation against civil-rights activists in the South in 1954? Attempts by an authoritarian government to quash dissent? No, this is the sort of intimidation that Americans who support marriage as the union of a man and woman can face today. Persecution of opponents is becoming a tool of the trade for some gay-marriage activists, who -- ironically -- seem to view themselves as beacons...

Who can say "gay" isn't okay in New Jersey? Judging by Gov. Chris Christie's actions, teachers can't. Christie told CNN's Piers Morgan on June 15 that he doesn't think homosexuality is a sin even though his religion does. To be sure that the citizens of New Jersey are aware of Christie's beliefs, the interview and transcript are posted on the official New Jersey website. Okay, that's his opinion. But read on. New Jersey high school teacher Viki Knox may have been inspired by Christie's comments to think that it was okay for a New Jersey public employee to express an...
  • Argument For Homosexuality In The Church

Adriane Thatcher has written a book (Savage Text) where in he offers an argument for the acceptance of homosexuality in the Christian church. His argument runs along the lines that we should look at the passages that condemn homosexuality as savage text (text that renders scripture holy) – in the same way we should look to passages in the Old Testament that show God’s predilection for child killing, his wrath and vengeful wars against local tribes as savage text. These texts should not be used by the church because they contradict the loving character and message of Jesus. It should...

Several dozen people partook in a discussion about same-sex marriage Sunday morning at Westminster Presbyterian Church, settling nothing but sharing their opinions openly. It was a part of the church’s series of adult education forums; one last week focused on interfaith marriage. Always a controversial topic, same-sex marriage has become yet more prominent in New York this year since the Legislature passed a law legalizing it. The Ledyard town clerk objected to that law and declined to sign same-sex marriages licenses on religious grounds, thereby putting herself near the center of a nationwide debate and drawing a write-in election challenge....

The head of an infamous pedophile lobby group in the Netherlands has been sentenced to 3 years in prison for possession of child pornography. Radio Netherlands Worldwide reports that Ad van den Berg, 67, had been held in custody for six months while police investigated the materials on his computer. Thousands of films and 130,000 photographs of child pornography, among which were 13,000 in which Van den Berg himself featured, were reportedly discovered in a raid on his house in December. He claimed the images were “for scientific research”. In 2006, Van den Berg registered the Party for Brotherly Love,...
  • We've got to do something about "homophobia": a proposal [vanity]

Ever since liberals drug-tripped their way into thinking that marriage is a right, we've been bombarded with insipid comparisons between gay rights and the civil rights movement. Realistically, democrats started the gay rights movement during the civil rights movement when they had a raunchy love affair with Jim Crow.© (That's pretty clever, if I do say so myself. Kind of want to copyright that. ETA: Done.) This has given rise to a new gold standard in liberal insults: homophobia. Some clever little person realized that a few very vocal anti-gay people turned out to be fruity themselves. An energy-saving light...

Those of you who regularly tune in to this radio broadcast are not surprised when I say America has been taken over by communists, and along with the rest of the world, is spinning down into the hellish abyss of the Last Days foretold in the Bible. Satan’s global regime is smoothly working its sinister way into place, and the days ahead will grow ever darker. I know there are many, many people who do not want to hear such words and do not believe what I say is true. There are many people who are content to keep their...

SANTA ANA, Calif. — When it comes to polls about same-sex marriage, it's all about how you ask the question. A new national poll by Lawrence Research found that 64 percent of Americans feel that marriage should only be between one man and one woman. Thirty-three percent feel marriage should be redefined to include any two people. The poll results may seem to contradict a Gallup poll in May that found 53 percent of Americans thought "marriage between same-sex couples should … be recognized by the law as valid, with the same rights as traditional marriage."
