ICE agents in Texas have arrested 50 people linked to a large-scale fraudulent marriage operation. On Monday, authorities announced the suspects are in custody for participating in a wedding scam used by Vietnamese nationals to bypass immigration procedures. The defendants were joined by their families in court as back to back hearings took place. The scheme reportedly began in August of 2013, and is responsible for over 150 sham marriages. The alleged ring leader — Ashley Nguyen — reportedly ran the operation from her home and from an office building nearby, where she created fraudulent paperwork for immigration authorities. During...

Rage Against the Machine frontman Tom Morello took to Twitter to propose the formation of a “Children’s Liberation Army,” made of “disgruntled vets” to take on the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency. In a tweet on Tuesday, the 54-year-old suggested that “people of good conscience” and “former vets” join together to “take on” the government agency. “Ok people of good conscience & disgruntled vets I’m thinking of putting together a Children’s Liberation Army to take on ICE,” he wrote. “WHOS IN? Morello’s idea comes amid ongoing outrage from Hollywood and other left-leaning groups and organizations over the crackdown at...

The country’s immigration enforcement officers launched a website Tuesday demanding President Trump do more to clean up their agency, saying he’s left the Obama team in place and it’s stymieing his goal of enforcing the laws on the books. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement supervisors in Philadelphia banned officers from wearing bullet proof vests during an operation in the dangerous “badlands” section in the city’s north, for fear of offending the immigrant community, the new website, jicreport.com, charges. Meanwhile officers in one Utah city are required to give city officials seven days’ heads-up before arresting anyone — and by the...

by John HillStand With ArizonaWebsite | Facebook | Twitter Chris Crane, president of the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement Council 118, made a number of stunning revelations during his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee — and he’s begging Congress for help. The ICE union boss argued that agents are no longer allowed to arrest illegal aliens solely for illegal entry or expired visas and morale is at an all-time low. Most Americans would be shocked to find out that immigration agents are regularly “prohibited from enforcing the two most fundamental sections of United States immigration law,” he said. Instead, the...

The family of a U.S. agent killed in a 2011 ambush on a Mexican highway and another agent who survived the attack on Tuesday sued the government and nearly two-dozen other defendants. The federal lawsuit arises from the Feb. 15, 2011, attack on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents Jaime Zapata and Victor Avila. They were attacked in their armored sport-utility vehicle near San Luis Potosi, Mexico, shortly after picking up some equipment from another agent. Zapata died and Avila was seriously wounded. … On Feb. 15, 2011, Zapata and Avila drove from Mexico City to San Luis Potosi to...

On August 23, 2012, a group of 10 ICE agents and officers, led by ICE Council president Chris Crane, filed suit against DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano and ICE Director John Morton seeking an injunction against the Napolitano Directive of June 15, 2012. FOX News broke the story shortly after 12 p.m. on Thursday. The lawsuit has been filed in the District Court for the Northern District of Texas, which is in the 5th Circuit. Kris Kobach is representing the agents and officers, and NumbersUSA is financing the effort. The complaint asserts, and NumbersUSA agrees, that the DREAM Directive: Orders federal...

From Stand With Arizona's Facebook page: PHOENIX (KPHO) - Sheriff Joe Arpaio had his first run-in with a group of suspected illegal immigrants since things heated up with the Department of Justice. The Department of Justice recently revoked his deputies' ability to check immigration status inside Maricopa County jails. Maricopa County Sheriff's Office Lt. Justin Griffin says they pulled over a vehicle and have eight people in their custody for human smuggling at 35th Avenue and Durango. Griffin says they attempted to give four of the detainees to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, but MCSO says ICE is refusing to...

MEXICO CITY — Mexican soldiers arrested six men Wednesday who they say carried out last week’s fatal ambush of U.S. special agent Jaime Zapata. Authorities said the suspects told them they believed Zapata and his partner Victor Avila — who was wounded in the attack — were members of a rival gang because of the vehicle they were driving. The suspects belong to a cell of the Zetas, a violent criminal gang headquartered in the cities bordering South Texas. Officials identified the group’s leader as Julian Zapata Espinoza, alias “El Piolin,” or “Tweety Bird” who they said directed a Zeta...

MINNEAPOLIS U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials arrested at least five people from a Minneapolis apartment building yesterday -- setting off protests in the street. After recent arrests in Willmar, the Hispanic community is fearful that raids will be aimed at arresting illegal immigrants. ICE spokesman Tim Counts says the main goal yesterday was to arrest people wanted for criminal offenses, not immigration charges. He would not disclose the nature of the criminal charges. But more than 100 people including community activists went to the area of East Lake Street and Bloomington Avenue to witness the arrests. Many used camcorders...
