Yesterday I pointed out in Implosion 101 that this had turned the corner and Kerry's counter attack was a failed arrogant argument. Drudge has these updates along with an amazing story about Kerry's outreach call to a Swiftie. FLASH: 'SWIFT BOAT VETERANS FOR TRUTH' RAISED $1,764,000 IN DONATIONS ON WEBSITE IN PAST 2 WEEKS, SOURCES TELL DRUDGE... Kerry's campaign now says is possible first Purple Heart was awarded for unintentional self-inflicted wound... Kerry received Purple Heart for wounds suffered on 12/2/68... In Kerry's own journal written 9 days later, he writes he and his crew, quote, 'hadn't been shot at...

If you don't think the Kerry campaign is imploding - just read a few sections of The Kerry Spot. Including the conversation Kerry had with Bob Dole. Attempting to tie the Vets to the Presidents campaign is not working (despite the media's attempts to give every bit of assistance they can.) People see the Moveon crap and understand that they are funded by Democrats - and in the same vein the Swift Vets are going to be funded by Republicans. The public sees this as no harm no foul! Only the truly elite would think this is a winning (or...

WITH Senator John Kerry all but having won the right to challenge George Bush this November, two phrases will begin to be heard more often. They are "buyers’ remorse" and "the Kerry bubble". Indeed, they are already being heard, as some liberal commentators worry that their party may have just made a dreadful mistake. It has become fashionable to compare Howard Dean’s campaign to the dotcom revolution that promised the world, but left its investors out of pocket and, in many cases, ruined. Less noticed has been the replacement of Dean-mania by the Kerry bubble. Democrat primary voters have...

The pundits are in full “I told you so” mode about California’s election results. Here’s my two cents. The first and immediate big loser is the liberal media, exemplified by the Los Angeles Times. They demonstrated that they served as nothing more than a political hit machine for the Democrats and Gray Davis. Shame on them. Shame on them for waiting until the last minute with the allegations against Arnold Schwarzenegger. I am not one to dismiss the charges they brought. Some, especially ones suggesting assault, are serious. Had these issues been raised fairly two weeks ago, the public and...

Volume 34, Number 21 Thursday, April 17, 2003 Study predicts Boeing downsizingGeographers say airplane manufacturer will exit from passenger jet manufacturing By ELLEN GOLDBAUMContributing Editor The red ink flowing from the airline industry in recent months has consistently grabbed headlines, but during the next decade the U.S. economy will be affected by an even more significant loss with the nation's eventual exit from the building of passenger aircraft, a market the U.S. has led for more than half a century, according to a research paper by two UB geographers. The paper, which was published last month in the journal Futures,...

**World Exclusive** ABC NEWS has spiked an interview with a close associate of Arnold Schwarzenegger who went on camera and accused the California gubernatorial candidate of making racist comments back in the 1970s, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned. Charges of past racist comments by Schwarzenegger were leveled by Rick Wayne, a former bodybuilding star who is now the publisher of the St. Lucia Star. Wayne, who is black, told ABC NEWS that Schwarzenegger made the comments regarding South Africa's former Apartheid system: "If you gave these blacks a country to run, they would run it down the tubes." The interview...

INTERVIEW WITH DR. KURT RICHEBACHER Dr. Kurt Richebacher has shown an uncanny ability to spot future economic problems. This former chief economist of the Dresdner Bank warned about the recession and the NASDAQ crash months before they happened. He forecast the collapse of the Asian Tigers in 1998 and blew the whistle on corporate profit tricks long before Enron. When virtually everyone was certain of a V-shaped recovery, he argued that it was impossible. A master of classical economics, and perhaps, the best analytical economic thinker in the world today, Dr. Richebacher writes a monthly newsletter, "The Richebacher Letter." Given...

AL Gore's speech attacking Bush over Iraq is the absolute low point in his increasingly bad political instincts. Challenging Bush on terror is like going after Clinton on the economy or Reagan on taxes.

Only in the past week have Democratic Party leaders come to grasp the magnitude of their error in challenging Bush on Iraq so close to the fall midterm elections. As the tracking polls have come in during the past 10 days, party leaders have realized that they have allowed Bush to change the subject from the economy and corporate greed to Iraq, with potentially lethal consequences for them in the congressional elections. But Gore didn't get the message.
