Unredacted emails recently obtained by WFAA show that James Comey, then a Deputy U.S. Attorney General in 2004, was apparently made aware that a drug informant was playing a role in cartel murders. Unredacted emails recently obtained by WFAA show that James Comey – at the time a Deputy U.S. Attorney General in 2004 – was apparently made aware that a federal drug informant was playing a role in cartel murders. However, neither Comey, nor other top federal officials named in the emails, shut down the investigation or suspended use of the informant.

Sam Clovis, a former national co-chairman of the Trump campaign, is one of three Trump figures known to have been contacted by FBI informant Stefan Halper during the 2016 presidential campaign. Clovis received an email, out of the blue, from Halper, whom he did not know, on August 29, 2016 — after Halper had been in touch with Carter Page and just before he contacted George Papadopoulos. Page and Papadopoulos were peripheral, sometime volunteer Trump foreign policy advisers, but they are key figures in the investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to rig the 2016 election. Clovis,...

On March 16, 2016, I posted on www.freerepublic.com that Trump would easily win enough delegates for the nomination, estimating he would finish with 1,300 (at a time when Nate Silver’s vaunted 538 and the Hill still said Trump would “fall more than 100 delegates short of 1,237.” In reality, Trump had 1,400 delegates at the Republican Convention. Why does this matter? It matters greatly as more and more evidence of Deep State/FBI spying on the Trump campaign emerges. It matters even more because in May 2017, Senator Ron Paul said that “we have several sources telling us that mambers of...

The Obama administration blatantly politicized the government’s intelligence and law-enforcement apparatus. ‘Isn’t it a fact that you’re a scumbag?” Our contretemps over the nomenclature of government informants has me unable to shake this arresting moment from my memory. In Manhattan, about 30 years ago, I was among the spectators basking in the majesty of Foley Square’s federal courthouse when we were suddenly jarred by this, shall we say, rhetorical question. The sniper was a mob lawyer in a big RICO case; the target was the prosecution’s main witness, the informant. Until this week, I’d always thought the most noteworthy thing...

President Donald Trump claimed Thursday that former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper had admitted that the FBI spied on his presidential campaign, further escalating his attacks on the law enforcement and intelligence communities charged with probing possible collusion with Russia. "Clapper has now admitted that there was Spying in my campaign," Trump tweeted, referring to an interview Clapper did Tuesday on ABC's "The View." But that's false — Clapper did not say that. Responding to a direct question from one of the hosts, Joy Behar — "Was the FBI spying on Trump's campaign?" — Clapper said, "No, they were...

Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) on Wednesday criticized the White House for excluding Democrats from a meeting with top intelligence officials about a confidential FBI source in the Russia probe. “This is not right. Briefings like this should be bipartisan,” Flake tweeted. Flake, a Republican who is retiring from Congress when his term ends in January, has been an outspoken critic of the Trump administration. Etc...

For more than a year, the Democrat-aligned media has denied and scoffed at allegations that elements within the Obama administration had spied upon the Trump campaign during the 2016 election. That all changed recently with the leaked admission of an “informant” who’d been querying marginal Trump campaign associates for information about supposed connections to Russia on behalf of former President Barack Obama’s FBI.

Full Title: Wow! Former Trump Campaign Aide Michael Caputo Expands: U.S. Government Agency Attempted To Give Him Hillary Clinton Emails… Explosive. Former Trump campaign aide Michael Caputo appeared on Fox News moments ago with stunning statements. According to Caputo a contractor with a government agency was attempting to pass to him, through an intermediary, Hillary Clinton emails; and the intermediary reached out to Caputo to inform him therein. In hindsight, Caputo now suggests the “contractor of the government agency” was attempting to set him up -and by extension the Trump campaign- in a sting operation similar to the recently revealed...

Former Attorney General Eric ‘Fast and Furious’ Holder lashed out at Trump on Monday after the President called on the DOJ to investigate the FBI’s infiltration of his 2016 campaign.

10:29 …“Let me tell you something that I know for a fact. This informant, this person [who] they tried to plant into the campaign … he’s not the only person who came at the campaign. And the FBI is not the only Obama agency who came at the campaign.” “I know because they came at me. And I’m looking for clearance from my attorney to reveal this to the public. This is just the beginning.”… And I’ll tell ya’, when we finally find out the truth about this Director Clapper and the rest of them are going to be wearing...

A Cambridge professor with deep ties to American and British intelligence has been outed as an agent who snooped on the Trump presidential campaign for the FBI. Multiple media outlets have named Stefan Halper, 73, as the secret informant who met with Trump campaign advisers Carter Page and George Papadopoulos starting in the summer of 2016. The American-born academic previously served in the Nixon, Ford and Reagan administrations. The revelation, stemming from recent reports in which FBI sources admitted sending an agent to snoop on the Trump camp, heightens suspicions that the FBI was seeking to entrap Trump campaign aides....

But Trump and his backers are wrong about what it means that the FBI reportedly was using a confidential source to gather information early in its investigation of possible campaign ties to Russia. The investigation started out as a counterintelligence probe, not a criminal one. And relying on a covert source rather than a more intrusive method of gathering information suggests that the FBI may have been acting cautiously — perhaps too cautiously — to protect the campaign, not undermine it. As a former FBI counterintelligence agent, I know what Trump apparently does not: Counterintelligence investigations have a different purpose...

President Donald Trump and his supporters are circulating an explosive theory: The FBI, they say, may have planted a mole, or "spy," inside the 2016 campaign to bring him down. The unverified allegation has lit up conservative media and earned space on Trump's Twitter feed just as special counsel Robert Mueller enters his second year in the Russia probe. But where did the allegation come from? Like many conspiracy theories, it appeared to grow out of a less sensational truth: U.S. surveillance on foreign officials - a common practice in the world of spycraft - likely picked up what's called...

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes appeared on “Fox & Friends” Tuesday, where he provided a potentially explosive hint at what’s driving his demand to see documents related to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Trump-Russia probe. “If the campaign was somehow set up,” he told the hosts, “I think that would be a problem.” Or an understatement. Mr. Nunes is still getting stiff-armed by the Justice Department over his subpoena, but this week his efforts did force the stunning admission that the FBI had indeed spied on the Trump campaign. This came in the form of a Thursday New York...

•On July 31st, 2016 the FBI opened a counterintelligence investigation against the Trump campaign. They did not inform congress until March 2017. •At the beginning of August (1st-3rd) 2016 FBI Agent Peter Strzok traveled to London, England for interviews with UK intelligence officials. •On August 15th, 2016 Peter Strzok sends a text message to DOJ Lawyer Lisa Page describing the “insurance policy“, needed in case Hillary Clinton were to lose the election. Recently there has been a great deal of interest in the origination OF the 2016 FBI counterintelligence operation, and how the FISA court was later used to gain...

A Texas Republican said that it’s possible that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is currently under investigation for his role in supervising a Justice Department and FBI probe into the sale of Uranium One to a Russian company during the Obama administration. In an interview with Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo, Rep. Louis Gohmert also said he would have no problem “impeaching” Rosenstein because he’s a “problem.” “Rosenstein could very well be under investigation. There is a full investigation into Uranium-One, which he supervised, which he soft-peddled to allow Hillary to get her colleagues to approve the sale of uranium...

Washington (CNN)House Democrats sounded the alarm Tuesday about their Republican counterparts planning to interview a "confidential informant" for the Uranium One probe. A letter from Reps. Elijah Cummings and Adam Schiff, the top Democrats on the House Oversight and Intelligence committees, respectively, to the GOP chairmen of those committees said Republicans have been in contact with the informant for months without allowing Democrats access. The Democratic pair further said the Justice Department has already expressed to members of the committees that they had "serious credibility concerns" with the informant, and the two requested Democrats receive a transcript of the expected...
