A transgender Honduran woman, who was part of the caravan of Central American migrants that arrived at the U.S. border earlier this month, died in detention on Friday. Roxana Hernandez, 33, died in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at a hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from what appeared to be cardiac arrest. Border Patrol agents along with the Laredo Police Department responded to a request for assistance from Homeland Security Investigations on Sunday regarding suspicious activity at a residence in East Fremont Street. A total of 36 undocumented immigrants were found inside the residence. They were determined to be from Guatemala, Mexico, El Salvador and Honduras.
