Iran is continuing its verbal attacks on Israel, with the latest remarks coming on Saturday by a close aide to the Islamic Republic’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The aide, Seyed Mahmoud Nabavi, was replying to British Foreign Secretary Phillip Hammond’s recent remarks that Tehran has changed its policy on Israel, and underlined that fighting the “Zionist regime” is Iran’s everlasting policy. “Fight against the illegal Zionist regime is one of the immutable policies of Iran which has always been maintained,” Nabavi told the semi-official Fars news agency. He blasted Hammond’s comments and said, “Such words are incorrect since one...

A UK petition to arrest the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for war crimes against Palestinian civilians has reached 90,000 signatures. The UK government was required to provide an official answer to the petition as soon as it gathered 10,000 signatures. It replied: “Under UK and international law, visiting heads of foreign governments, such as Prime Minister Netanyahu, have immunity from legal process, and cannot be arrested or detained.”

Oregon's Democratic Senator Jeff Merkley on Sunday announced his support for the Iran nuclear deal. This puts the number of supporters of the deal at 31, just three short of the 34 needed to make sure that if Congress passes a resolution of disapproval against the deal and President Barack Obama vetoes it, the veto cannot be overridden by Congress. Merkley acknowledged that the deal has "significant shortcomings.”
  • Samantha Power: US will be Isolated if it Rejects Iran Deal

The United States will be isolated on the world stage and its influence diminished if Congress rejects the Iran nuclear deal, the US ambassador to the United Nations has warned. In an editorial published by Politico, Samantha Power argued that a “no” vote from Congress would make it more difficult for the United States to drum up support for sanctions and partner with like-minded countries to confront crises. “If the United States rejects this deal, we would instantly isolate ourselves from countries that spent nearly two years working with American negotiators to hammer out its toughest provisions,” Power wrote in...

“The Constitution is the guideline I will never abandon.” — George WashingtonThe United states of America was born out of a resolve to protect the freedoms of the individual from the tyranny of the state. Its Constitution was written to safeguard those freedoms at all costs—ad infinitum. America’s Founding Fathers were excellent physicians who could fully detect the disease of tyranny in all its forms. They left the American people the Constitution as a preventive vaccine to eliminate this cancer. Therefore, upholding the Constitution and its firm stance against tyranny or any government or enterprise, foreign or domestic that seeks...

The more one knows about the Iran Deal, the more obvious it becomes that it is not a deal so much as it is a fraud. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the definition of a fraud is “something that is meant to look like the real thing in order to trick people.” That precisely describes the Iran Deal. Virtually every claim made for it is either not true or insignificant. There are no “anytime, anywhere” inspections, as Americans were promised during the negotiations. No American or Canadian inspectors will be allowed into Iran. The agreement obligates all the parties, including the...

Video Unbelievable footage has emerged showing an IDF soldier being beaten by Arab women and children in the village of Nabi Salah, Samaria The video is already being seen by some as proof that the army is having its hands effectively tied, both by increasingly restrictive instructions on how to handle violent Palestinian rioters, as well as by insufficient backup from the political echelons against legal campaigns by leftist NGOs targeting IDF soldiers. ..... I have a great idea for an update to the Iran deal that would save a lot of time. We should go ahead and provide Iran with nuclear weapons and also some ICBMs. This will substantially shorten the time necessary for them to develop or purchase them on their own. Doing this will also force President Barack Obama and his administration to deal with a nuclear Iran now instead of kicking the can down the road for someone else. The president will not be able to bask in the "look what I accomplished" light and then blame the next administration...

President Barack Obama is comparing tensions between the U.S. and Israel over the Iranian nuclear deal to a family feud and says he expects quick improvements in ties between the longtime allies once the accord is implemented. “Like all families, sometimes there are going to be disagreements,” Obama said Friday in a webcast with Jewish Americans. “And sometimes people get angrier about disagreements in families than with folks that aren’t family.” The president’s comments came as momentum for the nuclear accord grew on Capitol Hill, where lawmakers will vote next month on a resolution to disapprove of the deal. Sen....

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Friday that those who oppose the Iran nuclear agreement, like former Vice President Dick Cheney and presidential candidates Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, are "pro-war" and are some of the same people who got the U.S. into a war with Iraq in 2003. "There's no doubt that we've seen forceful advocacy to kill this deal," Earnest said. "It's the same forceful advocacy we've seen in the run up to the Iraq war in 2003. In fact it's many of the same people making the same arguments." Cheney is scheduled to appear Sept. 8 at...

Western-backed Kurdish fighters freed seven villages from the clasps of ISIS in northern Iraq in recent days, the U.S.-led coalition battling the militants said Friday. But the extremists still control broad swathes of land in the war-torn country, where ISIS has waged a terrifying offensive of forced religious conversions and beheadings. Bolstered by coalition airstrikes, the Peshmerga fighters wrestled back more than 200 square kilometers (80 square miles) near the town of Tuz since August 26, the Combined Joint Task Force said.

Sen. Tom Cotton, one of the loudest voices against the nuclear deal with Iran, will arrive in Israel on Sunday for a week-long visit that can be assumed is aimed at arming him with more ammunition to try to shoot down the nuclear Iran agreement in the Senate. The Israel government announced: U.S. Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) will be visiting Israel from Sunday, August 30, to Saturday, September 5, 2015. During his trip to Israel, the Senator will be updated on strategic and diplomatic issues, as well as other major developments in the region. Senator Cotton, in office as of...

Washington, D.C.— Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statements on reports that Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid may filibuster a Senate vote on the Iran Nuclear Deal: “First, the president did an end-run around the Constitution by refusing to submit the Iran deal as a treaty requiring a two-thirds vote of the Senate for approval. Now Harry Reid wants to deny the American people a voice entirely by blocking an up-or-down vote on this terrible deal. If Harry Reid has his way, Congress won’t even get the little oversight we were provided in Corker-Cardin. He is obstructing because...

The Swiss ambassador to Iran's display of a cartoon depicting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu being defecated upon by two doves was condemned as "an ugly act" by the Foreign Ministry late Friday. Switzerland expressed regret earlier Friday after Ambassador Giulio Haas showed the cartoon at an event promoting Iranian business opportunities. Haas spoke to hundreds of Swiss and Iranian business people at a Zurich hotel on Thursday. The Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) said the "questionable cartoon" was used without its knowledge. "The FDFA regrets the use of this cartoon and considers it tasteless," it said in a...

ZURICH - Switzerland expressed regret on Friday after its ambassador to Iran displayed a cartoon depicting two doves defecating on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's head, at an event promoting Iranian business opportunities. • Obama: Opponents of Iran deal aren’t ‘warmongers’ (attempts to mend fences with Jews)

President Obama distanced himself Friday from his administration’s allies calling opponents of the Iran nuclear deal “warmongers.” “At no time have I suggested that somebody is a warmonger, meaning they want war,” Mr. Obama said in a webcast with U.S. Jewish groups. But he said if Congress votes to kill the agreement next month, military action will be likely against Tehran. “At that point we really don’t have options,” the president said. “We’re kind of flying blind. The logical conclusion is that for any president, me or my successor, to make sure that Iran’s not getting a nuclear weapon, I’m...

U.S. sources close to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have concluded that opponents of the Iran nuclear deal won’t secure enough votes in Congress to overturn it, Israeli news site nrg reported on Thursday. According to the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act, referred to familiarly as the “Corker-Cardin Bill” (after its two drafters, Senators Bob Corker and Ben Cardin), Congress had 30 days to review any agreement signed between Iran and the P5+1 powers, and then vote on whether to approve it. That time frame was extended to 60 days when the international parties were unable to conclude a deal...

The most disturbing aspect of the scandal around Hillary Clinton’s use of a private e-mail server during her tenure as secretary of state is not the former first lady’s penchant for secrecy. What’s truly unsettling is that it has been widely taken as read among both the media and the general public that Mrs. Clinton will likely avoid serious legal consequences for her behavior because the Justice Department is ultimately answerable to President Obama – and Democrats will not use the instruments of government to destroy one of their own. Whether that eventually proves true, the sentiment itself reveals a...
