Wednesday at Politico‘s “Women Rule” event, senior adviser to President Barack Obama Valerie Jarrett said the reactions at the White House to President-elect Donald Trump‘s victory were “like a punch in the stomach” and “soul-crushing.” Jarrett said, “We were surprised by the outcome of the election. It kind of was like a — I’m not sure what the right analogy would be, but like a punch in the stomach, let’s say. Soul-crushing might be another description. But that’s the democracy that we have. The people get to decide and the elections matter and we have to get about the business...

In a last-minute effort to save Hillary Clinton’s bid for the White House, Barack Obama’s chief adviser, Valerie Jarrett, has urged the president to fire FBI Director James Comey, according to a source close to Jarrett. Obama and Jarrett are furious with Comey for reopening the FBI’s investigation of Hillary’s emails just 11 days before the presidential election. They blame Comey for Hillary’s alarming slide in the polls. “Valerie argued that Comey was interfering deliberately in the election process and had to be stopped,” the source said. “The president said he was worried about the consequences of taking such an...

Many years ago Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote a Sherlock Holmes Memoir that included a series of short stories. One of those was entitled “Silver Blaze”, where the great detective ended up solving the mystery because ‘the dog didn’t bark’. In effect, the ABSENCE of a presence or reaction was used to solve the crime. Sometimes politics makes for strange bedfellows as the old saying goes and anyone who has read the Edward Klein books over the past decade knows three themes that he continually harps on: • The Clintons and the Obamas do not like each other • The...

Hillary Clinton has become the first female nominated for President of the United States but, should she win the election, she will not be the first female to occupy and control the Oval Office (insert Monica Lewinsky joke here). That honor arguably goes to Valerie Jarrett, currently Senior Adviser to President Obama. Jarrett, born in Iran to American parents, has been with the Obamas since her days as Deputy Chief of Staff in the office of Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, the elder. She hired Michelle Obama, them Michelle Robinson to fill an opening in the mayor’s office. As Wiikileaks describes...

Don’t have fun and drink beer when it’s hot outside, Obama senior adviser Valerie Jarrett said on Friday. Jarrett offered the advice during an organized Twitter chat aimed at advancing a Nanny State initiative called “Beat the Heat.” Twitter user @Mi_Astronauta offered advice that would appeal to most Americans. “Grab some beers and hit the pool,” Mi_Astronauta wrote. But the fun-hating Jarrett had another suggestion. "Actually beer isn't the best choice! How about a cooler full of refreshing water."

...after being cut from speech line-up and banned from laying a cloth on boxer's coffin during Muslim ceremony -Recep Tayyip Erdogan had specially flown to Louisville, Kentucky, to say farewell to Ali -But the president’s office said Erdogan left the United States for Turkey late Thursday after attending the prayer ceremony -He was due to speak at today's multi-faith service but lost his slot due to 'lack of program space' -Funeral organizers also 'refused to allow Erdogan to lay a cloth from the Kaaba on Ali’s coffin during the Thursday ceremony' -In addition he wanted the head of Turkey's religious...

Police started arresting protesters who shut down parts of Interstate 94 following the death of Philando Castile. Hundreds of protesters marched from the Governor's residence and crossed I-94, blocking off the freeway in both directions. State Patrol officers redirected motor traffic as they cut off I-94 entrances at Dale Street. Protesters are throwing objects at officers and one officer was injured from a thrown firework, according to SPPD. One protester was using a laser sight and pointing it at officers. St. Paul Police Department officers are using glass balls with smoke, not tear gas, on I-94. Police officers on I-94...

Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.), Iran nuclear kabuki last year, told the Council on Foreign Relations June 23 that the Joint Plan of Action, JCPOA had been successfully implemented so far... Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton is for the agreement, but Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has been skeptical. Asked about Trump’s threats to renegotiate the agreement, Coons called that possibility “a fool’s errand.” Coons said that personal relationships between Secretary of State John Kerry and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, and between Energy Secretary Ernie Moniz and Ali Salehi, Iranian Atomic Energy Agency [IAEA] — have been apparently been effective....

President Obama is establishing a new position to coordinate outreach to the Muslim-American community, picking a former president of the Muslim Youth of North America to run it. This appointment is a further extension of this Administration's commitment to America's tradition of religious pluralism," Valerie Jarrett,

President Barack Obama has enthusiastically endorsed Hillary Clinton, but his wife Michelle Obama remains silent since the former first lady claimed the presidential candidacy for the Democratic party. Surprisingly, Michelle Obama made no mention of Clinton’s historic moment for women during the entire White House United State of Women conference, produced by Obama’s senior advisor Valerie Jarrett. The First Lady participated an interview with Oprah Winfrey during the conference which focused heavily on the power of women — but Hillary Clinton was not discussed by Winfrey or Obama.

The news that Hussein Obama is opening a new Muslim outreach office has probably come as quite a surprise to many Americans who thought he had already done that in January of 2009; an oval one. Not so, they claim. It is only just now coming into existence with a full-time religious and ideological agitator dedicated to American Islamification. Hussein Obama’s choice to follow him in the now non-stealth position is Zaki Barzinji, a former president of the Muslim Youth of North America. The new Muslim preference program is under the oversight, as one might have guessed, of Iranian Muslim...

In her “60 Minutes” interview, Valerie Jarrett partially reveals the sway and power she possesses in the Obama White House. The full disclosure of her power must wait for another time, perhaps in a “tell all” book, post Obama administration. It is clear she is very proud of her effect on the Obama presidency, its decisions, its attitudes, and its resultant force upon Constitutional boundaries and the racial injustices she perceives in America. In a surprisingly blunt “60 Minutes” interview, CBS’s ‘This Morning” co-host Norah O’Donnell took Ms. Jarrett to task on several issues. Much was revealed, much unspoken yet...

Rarely does one person in the White House have the influence that Valerie Jarrett has had. She holds the job title of senior advisor, but she's more than that. The president has said she's his best friend. She told us she's involved in nearly every decision that's made, including the choice of his chief of staff or who should sit on the U.S. Supreme Court. And that has sometimes caused friction in a White House that prides itself as being no-drama. As the president enters his final months in office, we talked with Valerie Jarrett about her role, the president's...

“I’ve had a full classified briefing” from military officials, Forbes told the Free Beacon. “It could be as long as a year before we actually get that released.” Details of the abduction are likely to start an uproar in the nation and call into question the Obama administration’s handling of the incident, which many experts say violated international and maritime law. “I think that when the details actually come out, most Americans are going to be kind of taken aback by the entire incident, both how Iran handled it and how we handled it,” Forbes disclosed. “I think that’s going...

To accommodate the perceived wishes of a very small number of people, the federal government and many states are placing women and girls at risk of rape and assault in restrooms. There are about a mere 700,000 transgender individuals in the U.S., or 0.3% of the adult population. As John Hinderaker correctly notes -- that makes them almost as rare as unicorns. It doesn’t take a genius to realize that allowing men who decide they really want to be women to use women’s restrooms is a dangerous idea: not to the wise men of Charlotte, North Carolina who passed an...
