Michael Hayden, former head of the CIA and NSA, thinks that up to 5,000 Americans will be on the ground by the end of the year. Miguel at Gun Free Zone has a great post about how Moms Demand Action are busy making fudge. Fudge as in fudging the truth into some bastardized “facts” to promote their flawed message. What flavor of fudge are the Mommies making up in the kitchen? They’re trying to claim that most every mass shooting incident has not occurred in a gun-free zone. How are they coming up with that? They aren’t relying on the FBI’s definition of a mass shooting, but instead counting crime scenes in private homes.

This past Friday, Greta Van Susteren reported on numerous ways the Obama administration has made it difficult for reporters to investigate Benghazi. Van Susteren said that it’s been “like pulling teeth” trying to get answers and that “the Obama administration’s behavior post-Benghazi has been weird; like they’re hiding something.” She went on to say that as Fox News continued to investigate and press for answers, the administration’s behavior got “even weirder. She noted two major press conferences – one with the State Department and one with the CIA – when Fox News was not invited.

Nutritional disparities between America’s rich and poor are growing, despite efforts to provide higher-quality food to people who most need it. So says a large study just released from the Harvard School of Public Health that examined eating habits of 29,124 Americans over the past decade. Diet quality has improved among people of high socioeconomic status but deteriorated among those at the other end of the spectrum. The gap between the two groups doubled between 2000 and 2010. St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter Christine Byers is reporting that the Ferguson Police Department has over 12 witnesses whose account of the Michael Brown shooting matches the description the officer allegedly gave. The Brown family legal team discussed the independent autopsy conducted on Michael Brown, the unarmed teenager who was shot by a Ferguson police officer over one week ago.
