Trump-hating “comedian” Kathy Griffin may oppose the president’s proposed border wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, but she doesn’t mind using one to block out her Trump-supporting neighbor. [snip] “I have a neighbor on this side and for some reason, ever since my Trump picture, he stand there and screams ‘' [snip] “We kind of built, like a little … As Trump would say, we built a wall,” she said. “I’m not a Trump supporter, but we built a wall.” [snip] And while Griffin isn’t shy about speaking out against the president’s efforts to keep Americans safe, Dawson’s tour makes it...

Michelle Wolf doesn’t think ABC was brave to revive the conservative-leaning Roseanne, nor does she think the Disney-owned network deserves credit for cancelling its biggest hit. On Sunday’s episode of her Netflix variety/sketch show The Break, Wolf weighed in on Roseanne Barr’s bigoted tweet about former Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett, saying, “It’s not a joke. It’s barely a tweet,” and “her excuse for tweeting it was [also] bad. You’ve gotta get better at one of those, Roseanne,” Wolf added. The comedienne then showed a picture from Barr’s most controversial photoshoot: a 2009 spread for the satirical Jewish magazine Heeb, in...

At long last, have they left no sense of decency? White House official Kelly Sadler, during a meeting Thursday, had this to say about Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for opposing President Trump’s CIA nominee over her failure to condemn torture: “It doesn’t matter, he’s dying anyway.”

A story about the times we live in, and assumptions we can make in our current political climate. The news tip a few days ago said: “Hi. Suddenly there is a Confederate flag flying in front of a house in my Greenwood neighborhood. It is at the north-east corner of 92nd and Palatine, just a block west of 92nd and Greenwood Ave N. I would love to know what this ‘means’ … but of course don’t want to knock on their door. Maybe others in the area are flying the flag? Maybe it’s a story? Thank you.” It was from...

Rep. Eric Swalwell told THR that a recent threat against CNN staffers showed his bill is needed. Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell, who represents California's 15th Congressional District, wants legislators to do more than just use words to convey the importance of a free press. He's hoping the House of Representative will pass a bill he introduced on Monday, the Journalist Protection Act, which would make it a federal crime to harm a journalist in the field with the intent of impeding their work. The safety and security of journalists has been top-of-mind throughout Donald Trump's presidency, and was ratcheted up...

Former Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke was temporarily suspended from Twitter on Tuesday over tweets violating the platform’s terms of service. According to CNN, Clarke was placed on “limited status” over three tweets threatening violence against members of the media. He is unable to post until the offending tweets were deleted. “When LYING LIB MEDIA makes up MAKE NEWS to smear me, the ANTIDOTE is to go right at them,” Clarke wrote in one of the now-deleted tweets, “Punch them in the nose & MAKE THEM TASTE THEIR OWN BLOOD. Nothing gets a bully like LYING LIB MEDIA”S attention better...

The Women’s March is facing intense pressure to come out in support of Iranian women protesting the fundamentalist Islamic regime. Women have become symbolic leaders of the protests, which are entering their sixth day, by removing their hijab in defiance of laws mandating they cover their faces and hair. One image that has gone viral shows a young woman standing above a crowd, waving her jettisoned white hijab like a flag. The death toll from the anti-government protests rose to 21 overnight, and at least 450 people have been arrested. The Women’s March is busy rolling out its anniversary protest...

MSNBC host Joy Reid apologized for blog posts she wrote from 2007 to 2009 that used language criticized as homophobic to mock former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist. “This note is my apology to all who are disappointed by the content of blogs I wrote a decade ago, for which my choice of words and tone have legitimately been criticized. As a writer, I pride myself on a facility with language — an economy of words or at least some wisdom in the selection,” Reid said in a statement provided to TheWrap. “However, that clearly has not always been the case.”...

Sarah Silverman addressed Louis C.K.’s sexual misconduct in the opening of this week’s episode of her Hulu series “I Love You, America.” “This recent calling out of sexual assault has been a long time coming,” Silverman said. “It’s good. It’s like cutting out tumors: it’s messy, and it’s complicated, and it is going to hurt, but it’s necessary and we’ll all be healthier for it. And it sucks. And some of our heroes will be taken down and we will discover bad things about people we like, or in some cases, people we love.” Silverman was clearly emotional as she...

Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton discussed the culture of sexual assault following a myriad of new sexual harassment and assault allegations against Hollywood film producer and longtime Democratic donor Harvey Weinstein. In an interview with the U.K.'s Channel 4 News on Saturday, Clinton said: "Look, we just elected someone who admitted sexual assault to the presidency. So there's a lot of other issues that are swirling around these kinds of behaviors that need to be addressed," Clinton said when asked if she had heard rumors of Weinstein's behavior before the bombshell reports. "I think it's important that we stay...

After he spoke out so forcefully on both health care and gun control over the past month, many late-night viewers might have expected Jimmy Kimmel do the same about the sexual harassment and assault allegations against Harvey Weinstein. When he didn’t, Kimmel’s right-wing critics — including Donald Trump Jr. — were quick to accuse him of liberal bias. Was he protecting the Democratic donor and his fellow “Hollywood elite” in a way he would never do for Donald Trump? Kimmel pushed back hard on those assertions on Friday during an interview with Good Morning America’s Amy Robach to promote his...

According to the latest census figures, white people make up 61.3 percent of the American population. Rounding out those numbers, Hispanics (17.8 percent), blacks (13.3 percent), and Asians (5.7 percent), fill in most of the rest of our glorious melting pot. And yet… The oh-so progressive left-wing television industry, the very same television industry that spent almost every minute of Sunday’s disastrously low-watched Emmy Award Show smugly blasting away at Trump and his supporters as unrepentant racists, looks nothing like America. Not even close. In fact, the broad coalition of Trump’s “racist” supporters is much more racially diverse than the...

CNN hosted a panel this morning of Trump voters describing what CNN described as “life after their vote.” Three of the voters described very nasty reactions they’ve received from liberals: A woman spoke of receiving “a lot of hatred from people I loved and respected,” including being asked if she was “crazy” and wondering “how could you do this to us?” A female impersonator recounted being immediately blackballed from his work when he came out as a Trump supporter, and having received death threats. He noted the irony of coming from a community that prides itself on inclusiveness. A man...

WASHINGTON — House Democrats had no concerns about President Barack Obama offering to share intelligence about Syria with Russia last June because that decision “was made as a product of consultation between the president and the intelligence community,” a top Democrat said Wednesday. House Intelligence Committee ranking member Adam Schiff and other Democrats accused President Donald Trump of disclosing classified information to Russian officials last week. The White House, including National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster, has denied that the president revealed any such sensitive information. In response to a question from The Daily Caller, Schiff explained the circumstances were entirely...

Members of the Electoral College from Pennsylvania say they are receiving thousands of phone calls and emails from around the world ahead of Monday's vote in Harrisburg, according to a report from Philly.com. One elector told the website that each elector has been assigned a plain clothes state police trooper for protection. "Such has been the life of Pennsylvania's 20 electors for President-elect Donald Trump since the Nov. 8 election," according to the report. The state's electors will convene inside the state House chamber at the Capitol at 12 p.m. to cast their votes.

If you haven’t already discovered Tucker Carlson’s new Fox News show, weekdays at 7pm, do yourself a favor and check it out. This Insurrectionist says it’s the most entertaining conservative hour on TV. Carlson opens most shows with a left-wing guest whom he politely, but fearlessly, takes on. Tonight’s lib, environmentalist Erin Schrode, had, in response to Time naming Donald Trump its Person of the Year, compared Trump to Hitler. When toward the end of the segment, Schrode decried Trump’s “name-calling and hate speech and toxic rhetoric,” Carlson pounced. “You just compared this guy to Hitler and then with a...
