Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, who recently announced plans to retire, rebutted conservative media speculation on Wednesday that his severe injuries are the result of a run-in with the mob. WIBC-FM 93.1 is pulling the plug on "The Rush Limbaugh Show," a vastly popular program with conservative talk-radio fans and one of the most listened to in this market since it began airing on the station 22 years ago. The show's last airing on WIBC is set for July 3. Officials for WIBC parent Emmis Communications this month notified Los Angeles-based syndicator Premiere Networks that it would not extend its deal to air Limbaugh’s show.

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid waded into a simmering dispute between deputies Dick Durbin and Chuck Schumer on Wednesday, telling the two to “relax” as they tussle over whether Durbin will keep his job as whip.
