Outgoing Democratic Gov. Martin O'Malley said Wednesday that he will commute the capital sentences of the state's last four inmates on death row to life in prison, saying executing them "does not serve the public good of the people of Maryland." Two years ago, the General Assembly abolished the death penalty in the state, making the ultimate sentence in new cases life in prison without the possibility of parole. That left four previously sentenced inmates on death row. [...]

Back on December 22nd, FTVLive told you about Sinclair owned WBBF's story that was misleadingly edited to make it sound like protesters were calling on people to “kill a cop.” “At this rally in Washington, D.C. participants chanted, ‘We won’t stop, we can’t stop, so kill a cop,’” WBFF’s Melinda Roeder said during her report. It was pointed out that wasn't what the protestors were saying and the clip was wildly taken out of context. The station apologized for the story, but now sources tell FTVLive that firings have happened at the station as fallout from the story. Sources tell...

A year ago this New Year’s Eve, John Filippidis of Florida was driving south with his family on Interstate 95 when the Maryland Transportation Authority Police pulled over his black Ford Expedition and proceeded to raid it while his twins, wife and daughter looked on — separated in the back seats of different police cruisers. The officers were searching for Mr. Filippidis‘ Florida-licensed, palm-size Kel-Tec .38 semi-automatic handgun, which he left at home locked in his safe. (Maryland does not recognize handgun permits issued by other states.) When the search turned up nothing, Mr. Filippidis, 51, was allowed to go...

Bishop Sutton also...

Meanwhile, photos from the scene can attest there was no way Cook could...

Huge news just broke which is a major defeat for the political correctness crowd. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rejected a petition which was seeking to stop the Washington Redskins from using their team name or face major fines. The 1st Amendment won! Sen. Harry Reid and 50 Senate Democrats have worked on a major campaign to stop the Redskins, even though their fans love the name and a vast majority of Native Americans (90%) don’t find the name to be offensive. This is awesome: The FCC on Thursday dismissed a petition filed by a professor claiming the Washington Redskins...

U.S. Rep. John K. Delaney said Thursday that toll lanes might be needed to ease traffic and congestion on Interstate 270, a corridor vital to the future of Montgomery and Frederick counties. Yesterday, as they often do, thousands of protesters descended on Washington, DC to protest police brutality against black men. The rally, led by Al Sharpton and attended by high-profile activists in the black community, focused on promoting a “black agenda,” and railed against the typical enemies of the progressive community: the Koch brothers, establishment politicians, and the Republican party. To close the rally, Reverend Jamal Bryant of Empowerment Temple in Maryland offered one of the angriest, most divisive prayers ever uttered in public. Via the Daily Caller: Dispatch angels right now of protection around our sons from psychopathic, sociopathic police...
