The left-leaning Huffington Post published an article which seems concerned that Donald Trump could defeat Hillary Clinton in a general election contest due to his strong position on trade. In a Friday piece entitled, “Hillary Must Toughen Up On Trade In Case She Is Nominee Against Trump,” Dave Johnson, a fellow at Campaign for America’s Future, writes: If Hillary Clinton is going to be the Democratic nominee she had better get tough on trade – and mean it. One of Donald Trump’ main elements of appeal to his voters – if not the main appeal – is his stance on...

At first, Mexico's government did its best to ignore Donald Trump. Then it likened him to Adolf Hitler. Now it has appointed a new ambassador to come up with a better plan. Fed up with the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination labeling Mexico as a cradle of drug-runners, job poachers and rapists, the government is sending in respected diplomat Carlos Sada to lead a fightback. Mexico's new ambassador in Washington, Sada acknowledges his country has neglected its image across the border and aims to fix that with PR and media campaigns, and by lobbying prominent U.S. companies, lawmakers and...

TEL AVIV – The U.S. is cosponsoring an Israeli-invented tunnel detection system that could prevent drug smugglers and illegal migrants from cross-border passage with Mexico, ISRAEL21c reported. The technology, which is being heralded as the underground Iron Dome anti-missile defense system, was behind the IDF’s recent discovery of a 1.5 mile-long Hamas terror tunnel from Gaza and into Israeli territory. The U.S. has earmarked $120 million over the next three years to help develop the system, the Financial Times reported. Meanwhile, other anti-infiltration innovations include a counter-tunnel barrier along the Israel-Gaza border that “will also feature a state-of-the-art fence, complete...

Many of the most caring people in the U.S. think they are helping the poor from Latin America by leaving our Southwest border wide open between ports-of-entry, but they are not. Several of the transnational criminal organizations (cartels) operating in Central America and Mexico make an estimated one-third or more of their profits from illegal immigration. Specifically, two groups below Texas, the Gulf and Los Zetas cartels, are largely fueled by the trafficking and smuggling of human beings.

The cocaine stash is believed to be the largest ever seized from a tunnel. Six men (believed to be of Mexican descent,...

According to press reports, a man arrested as part of an Islamic State (ISIS) group in Minnesota claimed he wanted to setup a pipeline to funnel terrorists into the U.S. through Mexico. The story rekindles concerns over the security of our southern border. It should come as no surprise that there are reports of terrorists trying to cross from Mexico to the U.S.—it’s been tried before. In 2011, Iranian agents tried to recruit a Mexican cartel to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States with a car bomb while he dined at a restaurant in Washington, D.C.The assault on our border...

Sanders, he says, is a "false prophet" who could be as dangerous as Donald Trump and Ted Cruz. With Donald Trump putting Mexico at the center of the Republican presidential conversation, the country's former president, Vicente Fox, has gone hard at the GOP front-runner, saying, "He reminds me of Hitler." But Fox, who served as president from 2000 to 2006, has some comparisons for Bernie Sanders that are not much more flattering. "In Latin America, we have a century of experience of suffering from messianic, populist leaders that have broken our economies, that have brought poverty into all of Latin America,"...

One of the American men accused in Minnesota of trying to join the Islamic State group wanted to open up routes from the U.S. to Syria through Mexico, prosecutors said. Gules Ali Omar told the ISIS members about the route so that it could be used to send members to America to carry out terrorist attacks, prosecutors alleged in a document filed this week.

U.S. authorities seized another cross-border tunnel, this time in San Diego, just weeks after a similar tunnel was uncovered in Calexico, Calif., a two-hour drive to the east. The 874-yard-long tunnel was uncovered, on Wednesday, after a months-long investigation, authorities said. The tunnel was equipped with a rail system, lighting, a ventilation system, and even a commercial elevator on the Mexico-side that could fit up to ten people, authorities said. Laura Duffy, U.S. attorney for the Southern District of California, said the tunnel was “a bit ingenuous” and “completely different” than any of the tunnels her office had seen before....

n a worse case scenario for Mexico’s government, which will never go for such a policy, a Trump government that bans remittances from undocumented people could trip up remittances from immigrants that are here legally, making their families back home collateral damage in Trump’s fight against foreigners without visas. How Trump tracks down those payments is unknown. But what is known is that those payments are the rise. The AP reported remittance payments to Mexico rising nearly 5% in 2015, an all-time high and more than oil firm Pemex’s contribution to state revenue. Amazing…

More than 25 million people live in the vicinity of Mt. Popocatepetl, including Mexico City’s 18 million residents. At 2:32 local time on Tuesday morning, the most dangerous volcano in Mexico roared to life in spectacular fashion, and this has many experts extremely concerned about what is coming next. Popocatepetl is an Aztec word that means “smoking mountain”, and historians tell us that once upon a time entire Aztec cities were buried in super-heated mud from this volcano. In fact, the super-heated mud flows were so deep that they buried entire Aztec pyramids. A full-blown eruption of Mt. Popocatepetl would...

A new Mexican movie promoted by Univision host Jorge Ramos portrays a drunk vigilante motivated by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's anti-immigrant rant killing at least four illegal immigrants at the border. The trailer for the movie, Desierto, now in Mexican theaters, blasts out Trump's initial criticism of illegal immigrants as a man armed with a rifle guns down targets crossing under barbed wire.

As I explained in my 2014 book Faithless Execution, the president takes two legally untenable positions on illegal immigration: (a) That the doctrine of prosecutorial discretion empowers him to choose which laws he will enforce, and (b) That if he chooses not to enforce laws in an area, like immigration, where the courts say federal law preempts state law, then state enforcement of congressional law is preempted by this executive branch non-enforcement policy. Obama’s first position is perverse. A president’s chief constitutional duty is to see that the laws are faithfully executed. “Prosecutorial discretion” is just a resource-allocation doctrine specific...

First, if you haven’t done so already, go to this list (click here) and find out where your closest UN/US State Department designated resettlement office is located. See the map here. Then draw a circle one hundred miles out from that city/town.*** If your town is within that circle, you could be seeing some of the huge surge of refugees expected to arrive in the US by September 30th. (And, of course the following year many more as Obama has promised that at his last opportunity, for FY2017, he will be recommending 100,000, unless a new President comes in and...

News with a headline that says “XXXXXX covers Metallica’s ‘Enter Sandman’” might not win any journalism awards or set the world on fire. The perennial cover band chesnut has been done to death, and has been destroyed by many untalented hands. Still, there’s nothing generic or bad about this news; in fact, let me assure you, you need to listen to this version of the song. The Warning is made up of three sisters from Monterrey: 14 year old guitarist and vocalist Daniela, 12 year old drummer Paulina, and 9 year old bass player Alejandra. They made this video last...

Targeting Jews in the Ivory Sewer A safe space for Jew-hatred. April 15, 2016 Kenneth Levin Reports of anti-Semitic acts on American campuses suggest that the nation’s universities and colleges are likely today the chief institutional repository of anti-Semitism in the United States. As one recent study notes: “A survey of U.S. Jewish college students by Trinity College and the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law revealed that 54% of surveyed students reported experiencing or witnessing instances of anti-Semitism on campus during the first six months of the 2013-2014 academic year. Another survey by...
