DIMONDALE, Michigan Republican Donald Trump again made a direct appeal to black voters Friday night, urging them to abandon the Democratic Party and give him a chance. Speaking at a rally in Dimondale, Michigan, an overwhelmingly white suburb outside of Lansing, the GOP nominee argued that Democrats, including his rival Hillary Clinton, have taken advantage of African-American voters and taken their votes for granted. "Tonight, I'm asking for the vote of every single African-American citizen in this country who wants to see a better future," Trump told the crowd. "What do you have to lose by trying something new, like...

Double-digit Obamacare premium hikes projected in 2017 may bode in Donald Trump’s favor, as several swing states are being impacted by double-digit increases under the law and consumers are expected to see the hikes around Nov. 1 — one week before heading to the polls. Trump has promised to repeal and replace Obamacare, but Hillary Clinton has vowed to make the Obamacare exchanges work. Some say the way she would do that is through raising taxes.

A Muslim community has filed suit against the leafy Detroit suburb of Sterling Heights for alleged bias after officials rejected their request to build a mosque citing potential traffic problems. "This suit [seeks] equitable relief to build the mosque and seeks damages as the City of Sterling Heights' conduct violates, among other things, the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act … and the First and...

Rep. Debbie Dingell (D., Mich.) could not name one foreign policy accomplishment by Hillary Clinton from her tenure as secretary of state when asked to do so on Tuesday. [SNIP] “You know … she was an outstanding secretary of state,” Dingell said. “She worked on issues from one side of the world to the other. She got on that plane and she brought people together, and in the [Middle] East, it’s one of the most volatile regions of the country. I know it, because I’m living in Dearborn, Michigan, which has the largest population of Muslims. There are difficult times,...

Three federal courts have thrown out voter-ID laws in North Carolina, Texas, and Wisconsin in recent days. Left-wing judges accepted spurious evidence that such laws were racially discriminatory, and they also insisted there is little voter fraud to worry about. Last April, United States District Judge Lynn Adelman of Wisconsin claimed that “virtually no voter impersonation occurs” in Wisconsin and that “no evidence suggests that voter-impersonation fraud will become a problem at any time in the foreseeable future.” Despite such sweeping statements, polls show that the general public is worried about fraud and bureaucratic incompetence in voting. According to a...

Republican nominee Donald Trump delivered a message of hope to Americans on the campaign trail yesterday in a major economic policy speech that ought to finally make Hillary Clinton's campaign management team break out in a cold sweat. Trump is no Ronald Reagan but some of the Gipper's legendary optimism oozed out of the candidate as he provided details of his "America First" platform that consists so far of ambitious plans for tax reform, regulatory reform, trade policy enforcement and reform, and energy reform. He urged Americans to turn away from the epic continual failures and rampant in-your-face corruption of...

While Donald Trump was speaking about his economic policy on Monday, the Republican presidential nominee accidentally said the word “titties” instead of “cities” on live television. Speaking about growing the economy in big cities by cutting job-killing corporate taxes and renegotiating trade deals, Trump said he would pour jobs back “into ‘titties,’ like right here in Detroit.” While the silly Freudian nip slip is obviously not a big deal—especially relative to Trump-caliber news—it doesn’t make it any less funny Yup, you guessed it, the internet brought on the boob jokes:

On Monday, Donald Trump took to the stage of the Detroit Economic Club to release his latest plan for jumpstarting the economy, a task that he said “won’t even be that hard.” Among his major proposals is to streamline income tax brackets—of which there are currently seven—to three tiers, in which no American would pay more than 33 percent to the federal government. He promised to cap the corporate tax rate at 15 percent and to put an end to estate taxes. He also suggested halting any new federal regulation on finance, doing away with TPP, and bringing back the...
