The Socialist senator from Vermont, Bernie Sanders, set off a Twitterstorm yesterday with a tweet that was hard to believe. We are living in a nation which worships wealth rather than caring for the poor. I don't think that is the nation we should be living in.— Bernie Sanders (@BernieSanders) March 18, 2017 Needless to say, this towering hypocrisy did not go unnoticed in the Twitterverse: @BernieSanders Says the man who owns 3 homes one which cost over $600,000. I'm guessing you have homeless people you're housing? Do as I say, not as I do?— lc65265 (@lc65265) March 18,...

The White House doors may have closed on former President Barack Obama’s presidency, but for him and his wife Michelle, the path to lucrative new book deals and paid speeches is wide open. The Obamas recently hired top-dollar attorneys Robert Barnett and Deneen Howell to handle their book contracts, and a high-profile public relations agency — known for repping the Clintons and Mia Farrow — to coordinate speaking appearances. The Obamas haven’t yet set book-release dates or announced any scheduled speeches. The Harry Walker Agency, which exclusively represents former President Bill Clinton, former Secretary-General of the United Nations Kofi Annan,...

Clinton’s fallout is interestingly causing an internal revolution among Hillary’s big donors. At her New York bash to “thank” her big donors of $1 million or more, she took no blame and pointed the finger at Comey and Putin. Her spin did not work and she has lost a lot of credibility according to confidential sources. They were smart enough to realize that even if Russia “hacked” the DNC and Podesta emails, there would be no release if there had been no wrongdoing to begin with. Now Clinton’s biggest backers want a “campaign autopsy,” which could expose Clinton’s entire operation....

Now Hillary Clinton's mega-donors are furious they can't get to her thank-you party - because the loser had so many she can't fit them all in the ballroom. Hillary Clinton is holding a 'thank you' event for heavy-hitter donors in NYC on Dec 15. The party is for campaign 'bundlers' who helped Clinton raise $1 billion in her failed effort against Donald Trump,... Some donors complained that they didn't make the cut as the campaign culled the list that would fit... ...leaving some contributors venting that they are being excluded from an upcoming 'thank you' party for backers... Among the...

New York City’s teachers might make a paltry salary, but the perks are grade A. One-percent parents lavish their offspring’s educators with cash tips and over-the-top gifts for the holidays to show their appreciation — and maybe get some special treatment for Junior.

Donald Trump brushed away criticism after appointing a number of billionaires and millionaires to his administration by saying that he wants “people that made a fortune!” The president-elect compared his picks, which have the accumulative wealth of around $14.5 billion, to athletes during a speech at his ‘Thank You’ campaign rally on Thursday in Des Moines, Iowa. “A newspaper criticized me and said, ‘Why can’t they have people of modest means?'” He said to a crowd, Huffington Post reports. “Because I want people that made a fortune! Because now they are negotiating [for] you, OK?… It’s no different than a...

A drop in millionaires in Switzerland this year has failed to significantly dent the country’s impressive wealth, as a report by Credit Suisse declares it the richest country in the world yet again. The Global Wealth Report 2016, published on Tuesday by the Swiss bank’s Research Institute, said Switzerland had an average wealth per person of $561,900 in 2016, making Swiss adults 11 times richer than the average world citizen. However Switzerland’s average wealth in 2016 was slightly down on last year’s figure of $567,100. The country experienced the second biggest drop in wealth per adult behind the UK, meaning...

Chelsea Clinton graduated from Stanford University with her life made. She was all set up for a six-figure salary working at the foundation that bore the name of her well-to-do parents. Mr. Trump said that Mrs. Clinton is beholden to big-money interests than he is, saying he’s going to spend upwards of $100 million of his own money on his campaign. He challenged her to pony up as much as $30 million of the $250 million she and her husband have earned since they left the White House in 2001. “Why aren’t you putting some money in?” he demanded. Mrs. Clinton did not respond to the challenge.

Speaking about Hillary Clinton’s tax plan on Monday, Vice President Joe Biden went on a brief tangent about his grandchildren and joked that he was worth less than Sen. Bernie Sanders, a socialist. “I aspire for one of my grandchildren to become wealthy so when they put me in the home, I’ll get a window with a view,” he said. “As I pointed out, it was embarrassing that Bernie Sanders’ net worth is more than mine,” Biden said. “I have less money than a socialist. I don’t know what the hell happened to me.” “I have been doing this for...

The guest list for a private State Department dinner on higher-education policy was taking shape when Secretary of State Hillary Clinton offered a suggestion. In addition to recommending invitations for leaders from a community college and a church-funded institution, Clinton wanted a representative from a for-profit college company called Laureate International Universities, which, she explained in an email to her chief of staff that was released last year, was “the fastest growing college network in the world.” There was another reason Clinton favored setting a seat aside for Laureate at the August 2009 event: The company was started by a...

Hillary Clinton dropped by the resort island of Martha’s Vineyard over the weekend to pick up more than $1 million in campaign contributions during an elegant party at the summer home of one of her most devoted supporters. Thirty people contributed $50,000 apiece to attend the Saturday night function at the home of Lynn Forester de Rothschild, a wealthy investment manager so committed to Clinton that she couldn’t bring herself to vote for then-Sen. Barack Obama after he defeated her candidate in 2008. President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama were on the island at the time of the Saturday...
